I don’t have one of those but I have cooked a lot of food with them. Those Bayou Classics are ver common here in Louisiana for concession stands and out door festivals and fairs. As I high school teacher and parent I have done my fair share of volunteering in concession for high school and youth league sporting events. Last year in March a buddy of mine and I fried over 265 pounds of catfish, nearly 500 pounds French fries and bunch of hush puppies over three at an outdoor festival as a fund raiser for the band boosters of our kids high school band. We were going to do it this year but the festival was canceled due to the plague, pestilence and pandemic. So even though I don’t actually own one I have the authority to affirm that that fryer is one nice quality piece of cooking equipment, commercial grade and will last a long time. It also very loud, your neighbors will hear you frying food.
That unit is a beast Louis! You're livin large bud! 5 Guys don't have anything over your burgers w/ Dukes Mayo and fries! Have fun with it!! Take care!!
Not your fault, I believe both my cousins and mine are off by like almost 15-20 degrees. Those temperature gauges aren't the best. He bought his in late 2019 and I just bought mine a month ago and mine according to a digital temp gauge said it was off by 13-14 degrees. So cooking alot hotter than needed really. But I kinda thought what might happen to you would be what would happen to me, so I heated my oil really slowly. Almost took 30 minutes. And I was comparing to my digital thermometer the whole time. Fry's still turned out too dark, but I was using creamy fry oil , which in my opinion is really for funnel cakes, not crappie and fry's.
Oh crap I just gained 15 pounds! Great addition to the arsenal LT. You'll be ready to cater when this thing blows over. Nice looking meal you put together there! See you Wednesday! From a distance lol.
GT’s Barbeque and Cuisine thank you for watching and commenting. Hopefully there will be catering gigs when it’s all said and done. Looking forward to get your feedback on Wednesday
Lois Did you cut your own fries. I think it is starch that turns them dark brown. Most fries seem like they are partially cooked and many are manufactured and frozen. Fresh oil its usually hard to get dark color, those didnt looked overcooked. It looks like that should do the job. Stainless is nice. I hadnt checked out fryers I see cajon bandit used quite a bit by one pit builder. Now your going to have to build more picnic table’s to accommodate all the people, safe distancing requirements. Happy Easter
John Knapp thank you for watching and commenting. I did cut and dry my own potatoes- probably should have let them soak longer in water to draw out more starch. I want to try the “double Fry” method next time.
Papa C’s BBQ & Kitchen thank you for watching and commenting. We are looking forward in figuring out how to deep fry more things- guess that’s what makes you tube so popular
I'm torn between this model of the Bayou Classic or the RV Works version. So basically its like a continuous propane torch blowing heat thru a tube and the tube heats the oil?
I bought mine and the flame area was beat red on the bolts area and turned off got worried might be dangerous is it safe or normal for that be like that
Thank you for watching- this type of fryer is really not designed for a whole Turkey- but I bet if you did like the breast in the baskets- it would work

Meaty Mike thank you for watching and commenting- we have a lot to learn about fryers
So did you have to fill the whole thing with 9 gallons of oil?
Thank you for watching- I did fill it full. The nice thing is you can reuse the oil
Cool... I went ahead and bought it... Having it mounted onto my bbq trailer
I’m beginning to think that with these humongous pieces of equipment the next step will be the R-Shack BBQ restaurants.
John Manthey thank you for watching and commenting. Well maybe someday but like to be mobile
What was the pop at around the 6:13 mark?

Thank you for watching and commenting. This is a neat fryer

Thank you for watching, yes and you can adjust the heat so once it reaches the desired temp- you can back the flame down
Did you make the fried Chicken video?
9 gallons makes 3 cups of fries. 6 cups of fries. Got it.
I bought mine and the flame area was beat red on the bolts area and turned off got worried might be dangerous is it safe or normal for that be like that
Thank you for watching. I didnt notice that happening on mine. Maybe give them a call and ask them about that. It doesnt sound right
Can u deep fry a turkey 🦃
Thank you for watching- this type of fryer is really not designed for a whole Turkey- but I bet if you did like the breast in the baskets- it would work
You need more oil to nine gollion.
