I use a pressure washer to clean the inside once the oil is drained. I also every once in a while filter the oil, just to get rid of the crud that settles in the bottom. Paint filters work well and they are cheap.
Thanks for the information and tips Aaron, you know I'll be using them! Waiting on the weather to break👍😁 thanks for sharing brother, have yourself a great one, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻🍺
That is one heavy duty deep fryer! Looks to be a bit of a job, but well worth the time to have great tasting food! Thank you for sharing and have a great day!👍
@@BBQbyBiggs yeah I may be wrong, but im pretty sure it's a ball valve, regardless, I'm building an outdoor kitchen, had their crawfish cooker for years and I've been eyeballing their fryer...think you just sold me on it
I bought a 3/4 pipe by 3/4 hose and 1/2 pipe by 3/4 hose but cannot remember the size I used I think it was the 3/4 by 3/4. I kept the one I did not use and will did around or measure mine tomorrow for you.
@@BBQbyBiggs yes but the repeated heating breaks down that soy oil particularly fast and byproducts produced that you cannot see remain even after straining. There's a reason that restaraunts change out their oil frequently and they're in business to make money so one would assume they would simply scrub the oil but they do not. Because it becomes carcinogenic.

You are going to love it Craig!

It’s a machine for sure!

I appreciate you watching! Have a great weekend!
Very informative. Thanks for taking the time!
Thanks!
Great video my brother and I do apologize to you I thought I was subscribed to your channel but I am now lol going to take a look around
Welcome! Thanks for the sub.
What size is the drain hose nipple?
What are you cooking in the fryer? Are you doing catering with it?
No, just cooking for family and Friends.
Thanks
Nice Demo Biggs. I peeked walmart has 2 brands 35lbs for 23.00 the Sam's was 44.00.
I didn’t even check Walmart! Guess that cost me. Lol. Appreciate the info John.
Some great info AB, I'm so jealous, wish I could eat deep fried foods😋 keep Rockin sire👍🏼🇺🇸🍻
I shouldn’t but shhhhh… lol. Take it easy brother.
Do the crumbs go in a separate part of the fryer or just on the bottom
The crumbs fall to the bottom under the heat into a valley
Maintenance doesn't look too terrible. I'm on the fence if I want to grab one of those. I think I've got a couple other projects first.
It is a fish frying machine as well. Thanks for watching!
How often or cooks do you think it needs to be changed? You cook mainly fish or what in it?
Everything. I use once every couple of weeks. I am now changing every 9 months.
I do a lot of fish, wings, chicken, corn dogs and frozen stuff.
Is there just one wing nut that holds the tank to the stand?
From what I remember yes. Slides in a gap in front and bolts in back. Holds fine. I never take it apart. I think it’s been 2 times.
Buying a 6 gallon one with stand and drain hose
You will like it!
Did you get any bugs at the bottom?
Not that I could see! Lots of sludge but no bugs.
@@BBQbyBiggs thanks for quick response
I’m seriously thinking about buy 1 of these units but I like to go big . Like my pellet smoker Yoder 1500
They make a huge one!
How heavy is the fryer
I would say about 50 lb with cart
nice info that thing is huge
It is 4 Gals and has enough room for quite a bit. They make them with like 6 baskets. @ is more than enough to keep up with.
Is that a gate valve? It looks like a ball valve
Might be. It’s a on/off valve that you open to get the oil out.

Ball Valve 👌
Sweet! Thanks for watching!
What size is that fitting that you screwed into the gate valve?
I bought a 3/4 pipe by 3/4 hose and 1/2 pipe by 3/4 hose but cannot remember the size I used I think it was the 3/4 by 3/4. I kept the one I did not use and will did around or measure mine tomorrow for you.
@@BBQbyBiggs Thanks
Mine is the larger 3/4 pipe x 3/4 hose
@@BBQbyBiggs Thank you again
ball valve
Indeed
You could make diesel fuel out of that stuff
💦💦💦
Appreciate the support Nate!
14 ... MONTHS? Dude that oil goes bad in a matter of days.
You have one? Mine smells and stays good for a long time. It does not go rancid. At least it has not yet.
@@BBQbyBiggswhat? That's nasty bro. Your a joke.
