@@MikeSpikeEdwards HaHaHa, that could take all kinds of movies to a new level. I have always taken my hat off to you bud, a great rider, and its brilliant that you take time out to answer peoples comments. I simply love 2 strokes, nothing better. I have a few in my collection that ive built up over the years, nothing comes close in my opinion. If you ever fancy riding a mint avgas only 2000 RS250 NX5 at any events, let me know, the bike is yours to use. I own it, but my riding is bettered by my enthusiasm for ownership. keep up the good work, kind regards Martin
Thanks very much for the offer Martin, hopefully I'll be able to take you up on that one day! Best send me your contact details to mail@mike-edwards.net then we can look at making it happen sometime in the future! Cheers.
Mike shows us masterclass! On a stroker from the ' highside era" he seems to keep way clear of that danger with cornerspeed of a God, smoothness and confidence, also so much experience he sees and thinks YES and it happens.
I have just recently found your videos suggested to me. Great fun to watch your races from the other side of the pond. It's been over I decade since I was lapping in anger and your work brings it all back to me...thank you for that. Bravo on your corner entry speed and consistent use of the margins, particularly while turning in. And well done on your tuning...have yet to come across any video sporting a marginal motor. Lastly, your camera placement (so sick of helmet cam videos) is exactly where I find it most pleasing.
Parker - what a lovely response, to my video, thanks for taking the time, comments like yours make all my hard work worth it - you can see more stuff, and help to keep me on track with a monthly support from just $5, have a look www.patreon.com/no1bloke
Great racing, Mike - you're very smooth on the bike, congratulations! Really cool editing too, with f/b onboards. Would be great to see you back in ICGP again. Best, Bob Keller
wicked video mike, I love the tzr,s I have 2 of them myself, a 87 red n white retro race block colour and an 86 250 same colour, both mint, tzrs are as good or better as todays modern bikes I think, great power and handling, id look forward to seeing your next video. good luck mike
Hello Mike! Meu amigo Leo e eu éramos fãs do programa de 📺 'Performance Bikes' e curtimos muito sua carreira! Estamos vendo seus magníficos vídeos aqui do Brasil... Saudações em "revê-lo", abraços!! 👏
None taken - I'm pleased that with video now, I can bring a bit of insight in to how it feels for me out on track. Thanks for watching, and I think it's even better when people take the time to comment, either good or bad - it means that it's generating emotion. :)
Awesome ride brother and the bike sounds beautiful may I add. Was watching a few old TT videos last night and then old 2 strokes went well round that long twisty TT circuit aswel as on these short tight twisty old British circuits Well done to ya man massive respect to you all !!! And you shown all them back markers the way round too 👍 ✌✌✌✌✌🇬🇧
Great ride ,as ciose as you get without putting your own butt on the line. did a couple of years in the states (77 -79 ish) ridding a 125 twin yamaha, riding against philippe de lepinay ,he had a 125 morbedille (sorry bout the spelling) putting out 45 h.p. ,needless to say I have a truckload of second place trophies
Joe, there's nothing wrong with 2nd place, it means you did taste 'the win' - I should know, I've also got a truckload of 'first loser' trophies. You've got to be out there doing it as well you know, to even be in with a chance - and that's a lot better than talking about it...
Thanks for taking the time to comment Joe, to be honest, I very rarely use the back brake on track, it really is just a 'get out of jail' thing when stuff is starting to go wrong. For more recent videos I've added an aux brake light to my coaching bike, so that people can see when I'm on and off the brakes, you might find that interesting to watch: ua-cam.com/video/-PItUoxsPyQ/v-deo.html
Not GoPro - we use Contour - you can search for them online, just simply type in Contour cameras. The no.1 benefit I find with them is that you can rotate the lens which is attached to the recording chip - so it makes the mounting of the cameras very flexible. Especially as I don't own a race bike, just ride other peoples - I need to be able to mount them temporarily.
Love it! I think the editing (switching from, front camera to back & vice versa) really adds to the passes. Can I ask what cameras you use? (GoPro perhaps)? Thanks.
I did a little bit of racing myself, so I can feel with you. Makes me want to go out there again. I'm getting the adrenaline just watching your videos. Is the engine of the TZR near stock or fully prepared? Looking forward to your next video.
the skill, the sound are all magic, just wish my computer recreated that smell, brilliant
Martin, thanks for taking the time to comment, who knows? One day we might get smellovison.

Exactly how a tzr should be ridden. Good on you.👍👍👍
The bike sounds very good and you are obviously very good on the brakes.
Great racing, Mike - you're very smooth on the bike, congratulations! Really cool editing too, with f/b onboards. Would be great to see you back in ICGP again. Best, Bob Keller
It was fun, first time back on one since 1988. It might be true to say, the memory is better than the reality.
That, without swearing, Was AWESOME MIKE!

Real race fascination, i've got the feeling like driving myself. :-) Make me wanting a TZR again.. ;-)
Wow, simply amazing battle
That was a cracking bit of club racing - and Dean definitely kept you honest!

Absolutely loved it and Deans not doing bad either . The only thing that's missing is the smell of 2 stroke. Hhmm
Nice job on the bike, wish the viewer could get a feeling fior how much force is on the breaks ,especially on the proportiens from front to back

Vollhirni, it's not my bike, just got invited to ride it for the event - as far as I know it has had some tuning work done, but I don't know what.
Love it! I think the editing (switching from, front camera to back & vice versa) really adds to the passes. Can I ask what cameras you use? (GoPro perhaps)?
Thanks.
Mike is this the Reverse Cylinder TZR 250? Great video's by the way. Really taking me back. Keep up the good work.
just a tune to the top end (barrels and head). The crank, crankcase, rotor, ignition, carbs and airbox are standard TZR
Former AFM, CCS here. Nor Cal.
Who cares.
Now THAT was a Race !!
Good watch. Cheers.
Oh.... Wife's phone Hah.

Holding my breath at 15:12...strong move :D
New fan!
Bloody awsome riding whos no98 is it andy jackson
It was Dean Stimpson - very handy rider, great racing with the YPM family.
Perfekt.... Geil !!!!!
flippin eck proper dog fight was that
Yes, it was great racing with Dean.
...racing...
Not even useing race tires... lol
No, not the reverse cylinder.
98, faster bike but a slower rider
You're right Swaggerlot, Dean is a good young rider, and hard to beat on a fast bike - but sometimes, age and experience does win out.
...no offense intended ;-)
Slower bike and still won
well done Spike
