That is a good point. And plus. You get to learn something and it does not mess up with your mind or emotions like shows, news, movies do.

It goes without saying that it is better than any TV show, and the result is a beautiful piece of furniture.

This makes me cry. I used to have an old wardrobe like this one. Mine wasn't decorative but it belonged to my great grandmother's sister and it used to be in my bedroom. It came apart as well, which was great for when I wanted to move it. A top piece, a bottom piece and both sides of the cabinet lifted out. It had two drawers in the bottom but no covering to separate it from the wardrobe itself. There were hooks inside for hanging clothes and it had a lock in the doors. It sat for years in my great grandmother's farm house which we still own but it was damaged in a fire. Even so, I loved it. While doing some work on the house, my son sat it outside and someone came by and stole it. I only hope that whomever took it restored it to the way it must have looked in my great grandmother's time. Thank you. I enjoyed watching this very much.

Imagine being the original cabinet maker that built this beautiful piece of furniture many, many decades ago. Imagine the pride you would feel if you knew that oh so many decades later, in a time where we have affordable CNC routers, all sort of unthinkable machinery from this cabinet makers perspective, not to mention bloody IKEA - some guy will still, largely by hand, put time and dedication into restoring your original creation back to its former glory. Just IMAGINE that sense of pride and acknowledgement.

I've been watching restorations on YT for quite sometime now, loads of cowboys with slap it on get it out approaches prevail 9/10 times. There are obviously a few decent guys here and there as well but they all fail in some not-so-minor details where it matters, be it technical or aesthetic aspect of the execution. You are without a doubt the first all-round antique restorer I've come across whom in my view deserves the title. Excellent job.

Thank you for sharing your love and talents for restoration. Your comment when doing duck-tailing was “no one can see it, but is the right thing to do “, that’s exactly what sets you apart from others. Enjoyed the video. 😁

Beautiful, I enjoy watching your restorations. I also watch Baumgartner Fine Art Restoration, and when working on the stretchers he says that wood is infinitely repairable. I'm glad to see how you can rescue the pieces with such skill.
