Gemma, you nailed it when you said that it’s all about doing whatever keeps you and the baby happy and healthy. You’re doing great. “There’s no one way to be a perfect parent, and a million ways to be a good one.” ❤️
I’m not a mother myself so can’t even imagine how hard it is to try to do things around the baby’s sleep schedule but remember even if you just look after Noah all day and don’t get anything else done, you are bringing up a little human which I think is an achievement and classed as being productive 💕
My mum and midwife both used to say happy mummy happy baby. When I realised that I started to relax more. You are so important to him Gemma. You re doing a wonderful job. Take care xxx
Thanks for sharing the reality of adjusting to a newborn Gemma - it is incredibly life changing but routines will get easier ☺️ handy tip for when he is falling asleep during feeds - tickle his toes or change his nappy mid feed to wake him again - this helps him to feed fully thus establishing unbroken sleep patterns for you both xx
When we focuse so much on doing things by the book, we stop connecting and being present, so 100% agree with everything you said. Dear Gemma, I’ve been following before both of us were moms, and I can say, you are so so amazing, so calm, loving and in control, both as a mom and future wife. Thank you for keeping me grounded sometimes and making me want to be a better person. Sending love 💙 -“ when a mother forgives herself for being human, earth exhales a little”
Gemma, trust your instinct! Each mom knows what’s best for her baby. Learn to know him as much as he learns to know you. These are so precious moments and you seem to do everything right. Your son trusts you and so…trust yourself and enjoy! My daughters are now 30 and 32 and gosh, time as passed so fast! I now have 3 grandchildren and I am totally in love with them now!
Oh my goodness, you and Noey are a dream. He appears to have such a sweet, calm, serene spirit and, not to mention, he is absolutely adorable in every way.
Noah was looking at the colours in his wardrobe he is adorable. Like you said doing a routine with no pressure. That is lovely to hear. Excellent for other new mums to take on.👍🥰👶
Oh Gemma, he is so beautiful and you are such a wonderful mommy! I so enjoyed this as it brought back so many wonderful memories of my daughters at this age. They are now 14 and almost 19! These newborn days really go by so fast, so please soak them in and don't worry too much about everything else. People told me the same and like you, I had to do all the things when my girls napped so I didn't feel guilty but I wished that I rested more, made time for myself to rejuvenate and just sat and cuddled my girls more. These years will truly go bye in a flash. Hold him, and cuddle him every chance that you get. You are doing such a great job! Isn't it crazy how you go from not knowing anything about being a mum, and then you just KNOW. Thank you for sharing this special time with us! It so warmed my heart and made my morning! Love to you all!
Something I learnt recently after having my second baby - when they’re this young they aren’t capable of forming their own routines and don’t really know when they need to sleep and they won’t tell you. We have to form their routines for them and encourage nap times. Sleep associations really help with this, i.e. sleep sack and dodie 😍 But you’re absolutely right to try popping him down mid morning every morning! Encourage him to have naps at the same time every day, he will sleep better at night if he’s really well slept and also you can count on times of day you can get things done 🥰 I’m still working on our ‘routine’ and my baby boy is 6 months now, but I know approximately what his nap times will be! I really hope you see this and really hope it helps, because it helped me 🤍 You’re an amazing mum, you’re doing an incredible job xx
Noah is cuteness overload! Gemma, you are such an inspirational role model for new mothers, and women in general. I would have loved to have had someone like you to watch 29 years ago when I had my first child. I love your vlogs! ❤
So lovely to see Noah and how much he’s grown in such a short time. I know your pain, it’s reminding me of when I had my daughter . in those first weeks and months. It’s a definite shock to the system. Your so used to it just being yourself and your partner. Then everything changes and revolves around the baby. Your tired and stressed. Your trying to find a routine. What I found that helped me. Is realising, this is a seat of the pants operation, and what I did before no longer applies. Everyday is different, and you just have to go with the flow. Over time ,you will see what works, what doesn’t. What people try to tell you worked for them, doesn’t necessarily work for your baby. You just do what feels right to you. Noah will show you what he likes and what he doesn’t. Your still getting to know him , and your routine will build as you go. I think your doing amazingly. It’s not easy. your doing the best you can . He looks very happy to me, all they really need is love, food, sleep. The rest will take of itself. Take care . Xx
I don’t think the feeling like a failure bit ever truly goes away. I have three children 11, 8 and 6 and every-time I think yep I’ve got this we enter a new stage developmentally or emotionally (them and me 🙄) and it’s takes you back to square one. Some days I go to bed and think to myself they are safe, fed and happy and I can’t wish for anymore really. You’re doing a fab job xx
Oh Gemma, Noah looks exactly like you. He has your coloring. He has your face seeing you holding him and talking to him and kissing him. Touches my heart so. He is precious and he is so fortunate and blessed to have such a good mommy and daddy. How exciting! This time is for you but it will go by quickly. So as you said, try to take in every moment before you know it. He'll be running around the house. Take good care of yourself. Look forward to your next video 🥰🙏❤️
It is very interesting being able to watch someone else's baby routine. When I had my son (27 years ago), there was no UA-cam. I was a single mother so just me. UA-cam and access to others can be helpful. I was very fortunate though in that I did a lot of babysitting before I had him and he was such a good baby. He slept through the night he didn't cry, did not get sick. I had no issues getting things done as I would bring him with me either in his chair or portable crib. Even when I showered. I put him in his chair in the bathroom with me (not in the actual shower). He was content listening to the water or me singing. As your son gets older and he is introduced to more "solid" food like baby cereal and pureed fruit/veg, he should sleep longer. Great job...❤️😊
Great seeing you and the baby - first 3 months are hard to get a routine but as they get a little older you will see a warm bath and a bottle will get them to sleep easier and longer. Yes putting them in a sleep cuddler bag and darkened room they will sleep better like being in the womb the way they were used to.
What a beautiful boy bless him 🥰 Love your mentality about parenthood and accepting the fact that as much as we may want routine, it’s not often feasible at this early stage. But it will come; most babies can slowly get into a routine by 3/4 months old 🙌 sending you lots of love during this fourth trimester x
Gemma You look so relax .Lovely seeing You as a Mum .Ive been watching you for 5 years .But this is so the best Gemma as Mummy Love to your little family
I’m so proud of you , what makes both you and your baby calm , happy and hopefully relaxed is great. You look so happy seeing you smiling at Noah and him putting his head forward to cuddle is so cute. Thanks so much for sharing this .. I have not had a baby and I’m living my hidden Mum while I watch you 🤗hope that’s ok x Stay safe stay well xx xxx
Im 64 and love your vlogs - and YES - do whats right for both of you - it should be instinctive & not in any way dictated by books, vlogs, google etc - your doing GREAT..!! Love all your vlog styles, baby, house, projects, beauty, cleaning, cooking, girl of muse! Love from Scotland x
I used to do bath, book, bottle bed ( that way round because he fell asleep having a bottle usually and would have missed out on his book). But it’s definitely good to try and start that routine ( even if it doesn’t always go to plan). Life with a baby is very much about doing what works for you so don’t ever feel like you’re doing it wrong. He’s healthy, happy and loved which is everything he needs. Good job guys! 🥰🥰🥰🐈⬛🐈⬛ xxxxx
Omg Noah is precious. Not really into baby vids but gotta support one of my favourite UA-camrs! I like how you mixed in your cleaning/puttering around clips.
motherhood looks great on you gemma, seems like you and jamie are doing a great job with your gorgeous little boy. try not to put too much pressure on yourself 🤍
Gemma I loved this morning routine that you have with Noah you are such a wonderful mom and there’s nothing like that quality time that you spend with him. I think your mother instincts are spot on and like you said every day is different and it’s all a learning experience and you are really doing great! I am so happy that you are happy. Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Noah is so beautiful ❤️ Gemma you look amazing and you're doing an amazing job ❤️ So glad the cats are okay with Noah ☺️ Everyone has their opinions on parenting but as long as your baby is happy and healthy and you're happy that's all that matters, I'm so glad you're taking the pressure off yourself because Being a mam is the hardest job in the world as it is, without everyone having their say about it. Really looking forward to your next vlog. Look after yourself ❤️❤️
You're doing great Gemma! It's absolutely normal to feel overwhelmed and it's ok to put the cleaning and everything on hold to get yourself fed as you need to be healthy for Noah to be happy x
I absolutely love your little family! Noah is so precious can’t believe how big he has gotten already! You are a good mum don’t listen to what anyone has to say, every baby is different and only you know what’s best and what works for your little family! Much love 💕
You are doing an amazing job! Every parent doubts themselves but he looks so happy. I couldn’t do the sleep when they sleep thing. I was like you trying to get all the little jobs done. The BBB thing works wonders. X
I have the same play mat from little Dutch. My baby girl is 5 months and she loves the playing with the the ring rattle. I've also thrown it in the washing machine and it didn't change x
I’ve literally watched you from your fist ever video never missed one, it’s mad to think you’ve now got your own house, a little bubba and your engaged like whatttt!!!. Your channel is 100% my safe space and I know we are only in July but can we start planning Christmas already 🥺😂❤️❤️
Hi Gemma, we are due 20/12/22 so my wife is currently just past 19 weeks. I stumbled upon your vlog and love it. What a dreamy life and what love you show to noah, I'm a hard, tough Scottish guy 😄 but with a child on the way you get these surreal moments of 'is this actually happening '. I just love your vlogs and stealing tips on being a great parent. Love your content ✨️
As always, love how open and honest you are about your journey in being a new parent. Feel like there is so much information and misinformation that is there to make new parents feel bad and like they are not doing the right thing for their family. Noah looks so happy and adorable. And yea, I am gonna need that oatmeal recipe.
He is so gorgeous Gemma! Its so nice to see you grow as a mum and gain confidence i know that sometimes when you have a newborn your so worried wether your doing things right but as you said there is so right or wrong way! Your doing amazing! ❤
Noah is absolutely beautiful, you are doing a wonderful job, Always remember you are Noah's mum not the critics on the internet. Love you and see you soon. By the way you look wonderful!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
Honestly this is amazing to see.. ever since you documented when you found out and the journey to birth, I was manifesting my own success at becoming a mother and it’s finally happening 🤍🫶🏽 you are a massive inspiration to us and we love accompanying you on this special journey ❤️
I’m expecting with my 2nd baby. I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago and watching your pregnancy progress and then Noah being born gave me happiness through a tough time. He’s gorgeous! Keep doing what your doing x
Evening Gemma and Noah glad to see you both enjoying life together. What a cute play mat. Well done for establishing the beginnings of a morning routine. I remember having a similar one with my babies. The evening will be harder but the one thing I remember working well for me was the rule, when you take Baby up to bed ( we did 6pm,) everthing was done in the night room no going back to the day time room ( all dependent on where you spend most of your day with him) so the bath, bottle book and bed is so ideal at that time. Enjoy establishing your routine it will only work if it is yours as I discoverec 23 years ago!
You should get smart lights for your bedside lamp. You can change the percent of light and gifts off from 10% to 100 and you can change the color of light.
You’re doing amazing!!! 💗 the new born stage goes so quickly so much quicker than I thought, take your time lovely I wish I could tell myself that, I was the same running round when he slept to try and get everything sorted but honestly it goes so quick! My little one is now 6 months old and I just flew and he’s now a crazy little man who giggles and tries to crawl, rolls and never stops! It’s so amazing don’t get me wrong it’s amazing seeing him grow and be a little person but please don’t put pressure on yourself you’re an amazing mummy xxx
Hi Gemma and Noah, What a beautiful little boy and mommy!! You certainly look like you are doing a great job Gemma! Everyone is different in parenting, you do you! You are such a kind and caring person you can’t go wrong. 😘❣️
Hi gemma lovely to see Noah it will all fall into place with him in a routine ,just take each day as it comes,it's just a matter of adjusting to a different way,you are doing great xx👍💕🌞🐈🐈
Your doing so well Gemma ♥️ like you said no pressure, don’t over look things trust your gut and take each day as it comes motherhood is such a magical experience
Gemma my luv, You managed to make your bed so beautifully, washed and sterilised the bottles. Job done 👌🏽 The first few weeks this is how it is, especially for new parents. You are doing fab. Enjoy Prince Noah they grow up so fast😩 ❤️
You are doing great and Noah is such a darling. He really suits that lovely green colour. You are doing things exactly as I did with my two babies and they both became.great at sleeping through the night.
Noah is so precious and such a cute smile. The best thing to do with a baby is just go with the flow . Being ina newish build home they are extremely hot so I feel your pain looking so forward to Autumn 🍂 😊
Gemma, let me tell u how I managed with my girls: schedule the feeds. The sleep/feed routine go together. Every feed at the same time. The baby will expect his food on the hour he usually does and keep him awake during the day except for an also scheduled nap or two. Also, baby accommodates to mama, not the other way around… especially when he’s older! We’re here with you! U got this!!💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Noah is so beautiful 😍 would you speak more about your fertility, trying to conceive journey? I was wondering if you did anything different or new that may have helped you?
For me reducing the use of disposable periods pads helped. Went for the fabrics and washable pads and periods pants. Even my periods cramps decrease and sometimes I have none.❤️💋
My hubby and I was trying for five months after a early miscarriage my husband started taking the men fertility multivitamin they have added zinc help which apparently helps the sperm and we literally got caught the month he started taking the tablets! Lots of luck and baby dust to you! X x
Gemma, you nailed it when you said that it’s all about doing whatever keeps you and the baby happy and healthy. You’re doing great. “There’s no one way to be a perfect parent, and a million ways to be a good one.” ❤️
It’s only me or this new role as a mum suits her a lot. Love seeing this beautiful change in her life.😊
I’m not a mother myself so can’t even imagine how hard it is to try to do things around the baby’s sleep schedule but remember even if you just look after Noah all day and don’t get anything else done, you are bringing up a little human which I think is an achievement and classed as being productive 💕
If you love and care for your children, there is no failing. That’s all it takes. You’re a great mom!
My mum and midwife both used to say happy mummy happy baby. When I realised that I started to relax more. You are so important to him Gemma. You re doing a wonderful job. Take care xxx
you’re such an amazing mother 🥹🤍

Tapping the end of a bottle helps also during feeds. Or stroking little ones cheek xx
I remember those days. Cherish every moment it doesn't last long. ❣

You clearly are an amazing Mum so never doubt that, everything changes when you have Babies and Noah is a Credit to you both.
You have taken to motherhood like a dream Gemma. It suits you so well, so natural and organic. Noah is adorable.

Noah looks like a very happy baby boy ☺️ you’re doing great mama! And that little green outfit 🥺 Thank you for another upload!

You are such a good mom Gemma, this was so sweet it made me cry 😭🤍 beautiful
You should get smart lights for your bedside lamp. You can change the percent of light and gifts off from 10% to 100 and you can change the color of light.
He is so sweet! He looks so much like you Gemma!
it feels so real and beautiful! i love your company so much!

Gemma my luv,
You managed to make your bed so beautifully, washed and sterilised the bottles.
Job done 👌🏽
The first few weeks this is how it is, especially for new parents.
You are doing fab.
Enjoy Prince Noah they grow up so fast😩
❤️
I always put my babies to their cots in the bedroom between feeds .
It worked for me and my children.
If they wake you can just pick them up xx
U got this!!💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Love your morning routines, love to see how well you're getting on with baby 💕you're such a great mom Gemma, you're so beautiful
Noah is so beautiful 😍 would you speak more about your fertility, trying to conceive journey? I was wondering if you did anything different or new that may have helped you?
I wondered this too I would love to know , could you do a video on this Gemma ? xx
For me reducing the use of disposable periods pads helped. Went for the fabrics and washable pads and periods pants. Even my periods cramps decrease and sometimes I have none.❤️💋
I would love to see a video about her conception journey 💕
My hubby and I was trying for five months after a early miscarriage my husband started taking the men fertility multivitamin they have added zinc help which apparently helps the sperm and we literally got caught the month he started taking the tablets! Lots of luck and baby dust to you! X x
Royal Jelly vitamins helped me 😘
Loved this video with u and Noah he is gorgeous I love him. Your such a good mom. He’s so lucky to have u. Love Tilly and Teddy so much xx 😘
