toyota calipers are famous for this. I just had the same issues... best if you can do it yourself. thanks for the videos and looking forward to more. keep u the good work!
Great video! As some have said ... be thankful this Sequoia is a west coast car ... here in the rust belt states, this type of work is a nigh mare! I did the same job on a 2004 recently and used NAPA reman calipers because they are painted (coated) black to resist our salty winters.
Dealing with those rusted slide pins on my 4runner took me hours and hours of work. Should have hit it with a ton of pb blaster the day before i started work on the brakes.
Shawn Batchelder That's a "vacuum cap". They come in a small assortment pack at auto parts stores. Usually on the back wall near the siphons and bottle dispenser top stuff. I use the same thing when capping my brake lines.

Well at least you are the right person to find the most “broken” Toyota Sequoia out there.

one of my caliper is seized and i found that out when changing my front pads. Should i change both or is it ok just changing one?
I'm here because of my 2000 Tundra.
Nice Vid. What did you use to plug the break line?

How did that California Truck get so rusty:) It looks like my 04' Tacoma here in Maryland. Those pins suck, I like Honda brakes better:)
it was parked near the ocean
So how do you loosen the stuck pistons? Thanks.
I used C clamps, but one piston didn't give, had to buy new part
@@ToyotaMaintenance Did you buy a new piston or a new caliper? Thanks.
