Excellent video, thank you!
Man, you are hard on your fingers. LOL Great detailed job!
I tried shouting at you about cutting that mitre the wrong way - but you weren't listening!
You again proved that a good craftsman is one who can recover well from his mistakes.
Lovely job, and you reminded me that I could use my Festool Domino on the new design picture frames I'm making for an artist friend, instead of just glueing and air nailing.
Beautiful hummingbird cabinet door Alain! Thank you for sharing the lovely video with us.👍😎JP
Never bored with your videos. I remember the first one and zip watched it with the same enthusiasm as this one. Great job.
yes they look pretty much the same..... But tit's what my sister wanted :)
@@LgosseuxDbois-TheWoodpecker she has a great taste, you made it fantastically.
Dear Alain,
Your hummingbird is exceedingly well done & the different essences of wood does give it some depth. I am sure Honourable sister was delighted with her new Christmas present.Very well done. Kind regards.
Beautiful work
Very nicely made, looks good and a great personal present too.
Thank-you for your videos, Mike.

Lovely job Alain! Not hard to see how much your sister appreciated it! :D I enjoyed the first one you posted, and this one as well, so it's all good :D

very nice.
Nice, hey where did you do the white balance Alain,?? LOL
very nice thanks for sharing with us ehhh
Hey Alain,
your door is truely a tremendous piece of work and craftsmanship. But there’s one thing I’m thinking about since your first episode about intarsia...so far I’ve learned from my father, a professional cabinetmaker, an intarsia is made of thin pieces of wood veneer cut into shape like you did on your pieces, and put into fitting cutouts in the surface of your workpiece so that after some layers of laquer there is no remarkable height difference to the feel of your fingers...am I wrong? Maybe this technique is called differently in english.
Would be nice if you could give a feedback on this.
What you described is inlay. Intarsia is like inlay but with depth and shapes
I would love to hear you narrate a nature show on the Discovery channel.
I'm not sure everyone would agree with you... My accent will kill the show :)
I did not see the first intarsia so I was very interested. Very good techniques; sand bags, drill size template, glue by sub-assemblies. I'm thinking that no glue was needed for putting the panel into the frame. You built the door like a window so glazing points or tacks can hold the panel in place.
Since the 3 layers of "plywood" were actually mdf even if they sell it as plywood, the whole thing is quie heavy and I didn't want any trouble in the future with it, so I decided to glue it all, even if it'S made just like a picture frame.
