The smoke clears away the black flies, and thankfully the Thermacell did a decent job with the remaining mosquitos. We were eaten alive while exploring and setting up camp though 😂

Knife update, I threw it away. The frame was entirely jacked up, and there was no way I could repair the lock.
That's the last time I trust a man wearing an inside out jacket with his fly down to fix a knife 😁
