Scott never really got the credit he deserved. Sure, he's a big name, but in his early days he was one of the greatest to ever enter the ring. This guy was bigger and more agile than Kurt Angle - a suplex beast who could do pretty much anything. People often associate Scott with funny promos and his extremely large physique - but he was much more than that. I'm glad he reinvented himself when he slowed down and got older. He turned the Big Poppa Pump character into a world champion, and even bigger name. Full credit to him.
He's in the A league as far as athleticism goes in the history of wrestling. Maybe he's not surpassing Angle as far as credentials go but as far as wrestling goes he's in the same echelon and to me was a better "pro" wrestler.

@@Lord_Bibulous Exactly, Scott said several times that he would refuse an induction out of spite for WWE. It's a shame for his brother Rick, and very selfish of him. In a way he clearly doesn't care about his fans, who would love to see him being inducted before it's too late. Shame.
I always thought Scott was a guy that became underrated by fans who never watched wrestling before 1998. You'd occasionally here that person describe Scott as a "muscle bound freak" and couldn't wrestle worth a damn, but all I could think of was Scott was a guy that was doing moonsault press slams, and fans in the 90s never called it the hurricanrana originally, because they associated it with Scott Steiner. @John Volken very true. Rewatching some old Scott Steiner matches, seeing the number of times he hit the back of his head on the mat while doing the Frankensteiner, I get why he moved away from doing it. @Fluke hell yeah man that frankinsteiner and those amateur wrestling shoot skills was amazing! Had he been born later in life he would been one hell of an NWA world champion! I mean can you imagine jack brisco vs Scott Steiner two shooters, two amateur champions!!!!
@Flukesadly! I always feel in the AWA he could have been a top! And he could have taken world-class to the next level with my guys the von erichs! But the WWF/WWE was no place for him!
I don't know...Big Poppa Pump was a badass, yeah Scott wasn't as agile anymore, but that was his perfect gimmick.
@@jimbrown5091 oh yeah brother more agile and a world-class shooter Doodles amateur wrestling background! Big poppa pump was a bad dude but very limited to what he can do! And unfortunately the match with HHH brought out all those points. Big poppa pump put me in the mind of Superstar Billy Graham and he did have good mic skills 💪💪👍
If Scott Steiner had gone solo in the early 90s, we’d be talking about him as one of the greatest of all time.
Yeah he was brock be4 brock
It would have been awesome if he had been a solo wrestler in the early 90’s
Bill Watts wanted Scott to turn heel on Rick in the early 1990's when he was in charge of WCW. Bill said Scott wouldn't do it. Had that really happened, Scott could've very well been one of those legendary heels that would've been on a Mount Rushmore of heels if there was such a thing. Big Poppa Pump was still great, but I think that gimmick, along with the heel turn in general, came along about five years too late.
Interviewer : "Scott Steiner, what do you think of pro wrestlers, before Superstar Billy Graham?"
Scott Steiner : "They were FAT!!!"
Big Poppa Corn: Thank you, fuck you, bye!
I remember when Scott got his new look, they were calling him White Thunder at first...lol
Glad he got the nickname Big Poppa Pump.
@Scott Stapp Damn, wow. I always thought White Thunder sounded like a male stripper name or pornstar, not Nazi.
I always really liked the Steiners tag-team as a kid. Between them and the Road Warriors, it didn't get any better.
The Steiner Bros. are easily 1 of the greatest Tag Teams ever!!!❤️ Its too bad they didn't hold the AWA 🌎 Tag team titles too then it would've been all 3 old school Titles WWF/NWA/AWA LOD is the only team to do that. "Big" Poppa Pump was badass & Awesome.......... Because it was Scott Steiner. Get well soon.
Cant beat old scholl nwa road warriors
@@justinkredable9725 amen, brother!
When you're on TNA, your odds of having a heart attack drastic go down!!
But seriously Jim, Scott messed nothing up in that math promo, the numbers don't lie!!
0:17 Wait a minute... Memories of him. He’s not dead ffs! Hahaha.
That story about Rick firing the gun has me crying laughing every time I hear it 🤣
Whoever does the cartoon thumbnails for these clips deserves a raise!
That crater in his chest just finished collapsing😂😂😂😂😂
Met the Steiners in 93. Observations from that meeting: 1) was surprised at their height because at 15 I was clearly taller than both, putting them well under 6'. 2) they were far from friendly, a little intimidating. 3) Rick's wrists were as big as my biceps. My buddies and I thought while Scott's glamor muscles were bigger, we would be far more terrified of Rick.
😂😂😂😂 I spent a few days in Houston getting turned around on those darn feeder roads on I-10...I HATE those things
If I were a Tony Khahn-style mark creating a promotion, Scott Steiner, Sid Vicious, and Booker T would be my commentary team. No one would understand anything they said, but it would be comedy gold!
Scott Steiner is and always will be an inovator....As a 12 13 year old watching WCW 1991 92 and seeing the Frankensteiner at the time....god damn that was cool.....Steiner is without a doubt a WRESTLING LEGEND!!!!....He's had a hell of a wrestling career...One of the best careers of anyone in the 1990s...From 90 to 99 Steiner was in WCW to WWF for a little then back to WCW.........Respects to the Steiner bros and the Entertainment they have provided me
Bulldogs vs Steiner would have been great.
Scott Steiner has a 141 2/3 chance of making a full recovery.
Scott has a 66-1/3rd chance of recovering and a 2/:3 of 68% of 2/5ths of wtf man
Both the Steiners are legit badasses
"And when you add Kurt Angle into the mix?? Your odds of having a heart attack at a wrestling event drastic go down!"
the k 9 was a good worker 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He told this story before when just discussing his love for the Steiner bros.
My son overheard me listening to this, and said "Well, I guess he has 0% chance of beating Siñor Joe now?" lmfao
Get well soon Scott. Love corentte I remember hating him during WWF's heyday watching ppvs he was so good at being a bad guy. Listening to him these days he is a genius and knows the business better than anyone.
Love the Amarillo story! Went so many events there when I was a kid.
Jim - "I really get a kick out of sociopaths, their thrill seeking and impulsivity is a HOOT to watch" heh
