Chase, thanks for stopping by and the nice words of encouragement. Glad you liked the video. Unfortunate, I have other things in my life taking priority right now. When I get some free time I’ll try to post a couple other trips. Wish you the very best in your filmmaking!
Always good to be reminded where the real wilderness is, Da Tooth. Epic area. And trust me it has bears. Cross country it up top in August you will get your bear on.
What an absolutely wonderful video! The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful all the way through, your photography is just awesome, thank you! So fabulous I'm about to watch it through again! Well done! Safe travels!
Hi Jilly, thanks so much for your wonderful comment, it's really appreciated. The Beaten Path in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness it nothing short of amazing. It's too bad that the camera really doesn't capture the true beauty. It's so beautiful I'm going to do it again in late July.
Awesome! You’ll really love it. Maybe we might run into each other since we’ll be on the Beaten Path again with some newbies in late July. Thanks for visiting and your comment.
MAJESTIC.... that is not a word we use very often is it... but it is the word that kept coming to mind while watching your video. Who knew there were so many lakes up there?? The wildflowers were beautiful. Jehovah is such an Artist!!! I loved seeing the waterfalls! I do not know how you captured on film all those tiny woodland creatures! Speaking of woodland creatures, I kept waiting for a BEAR to jump out and grab some of those berries from 'Hotrod's' hands! Yikes! I look forward to visiting both of your cabins in the paradise! And as usual...you nailed the music!!!
Wow, I'm humbled by your kind words and the time you took to post such a wonderful comment! With your comment I'm more than ever motivated to continue improving my videos and finding more beautiful places to backpack! Thanks so much!
What a great video! My friend and I did the Beaten Path in 2017 and this brought back many fond memories. I recognized so many sights in your video from being there myself and from scenes I put in my video. Your first two clips were in my video as were so many others like the giant slab of granite you took a break on. Hotrod even has the same backpack as me and you guys also finished out your hike at the Grizzly Bar like we did with our wives. Thanks for sharing your trip! Now I am going to check out some of your other videos and share this one with my buddy who also did a great video of our hike.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s a very small world…when I was planning our hike of The Beaten Path my son and I watched both you and your hiking buddy’s videos on The Beaten Path. Both of your videos were very helpful in planning our trip. Thanks for posting those excellant videos! As a side note, we liked The Beaten Path so well we did it again this year with more of my family. In fact, it was with 3 generations. Maybe some time our paths will cross since we do at least one major hiking trip out west each year.
@@IronmanAdventures Wow!! It is a small world, huh? I'm happy our videos were helpful to you. It truly was an amazing trip and definitely the most beautiful landscape I have yet hiked through.
Absolutely spectacular footage! I live in Western Montana and am moving to Billings. I was looking for information about the Beartooth Wilderness and I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this video! Thank you!
Thanks so much for your comment! The Beaten Path is absolutely spectacular as you said. It’s my favorite area to backpack in all of the lower 48 states. In fact, I’ll be back to hike the area again late next July. Enjoy the area!
@@eddyaruda486 Not too much traffic in late August. Saw about 10-12 small groups in 5 days, but it is a very popular trail outside of Yellowstone that doesn't require permits. There are many other trails in the Absarokas if you want more solitude. However, The Beaten Path is a "must do".
Thanks so much for the video! I'm looking forward to hiking The Beaten Path with my parents in a couple months. This has provided us with some helpful insight as to what to expect!
You're very welcome and thanks for stopping by. We loved the hike so much that I'm taking some other family members back to hike it again in late July. If you need any other infomation about The Beaten Path please let me know.

We were just up the road in Silver Gate last August, our day hikes in Yellowstone took up so much time I didn’t get to see much of the beartooths. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back this year & I’ve set aside a few days to spend there!
And yes, it was way more beautiful than the video shows. I will be backpacking Banff and Assiniboine next year which should even be better. Thanks for stopping by and viewing this video. Enjoy the AT thru hike in 2020. Take care.
Great video. Definitely different from my trip a month or so earlier. The creek crossing before Fossil lake was over my knees! We had to ford every crossing. Glad you enjoyed my back yard 😉.
To be honest, most of my hiking so far has been in the same beartooth mountains. They are amazingly spectacular. On of my favorite hikes so far was just on the other end of the Beartooth pass right around Red Lodge. It’s called Sundance pass. A little shorter then the beaten path but it crest around 11,000+ feet.
Thank You. I camped at Lower Aero Lake awesome divne. Mosquitos thick fierce 1991. Thats my favorite area of Yellowstone too. priceless wilderness
I know this isn't a new video but nice job and thanks for sharing. It's inspiring for newer filmmakers like myself who are getting started

I see lots of dead trees are they fire damage or pine beetle?
Mostly old fire damage, with some pine beetle.
Those meadows would be good for butterflies..my hobby,
Yes, there were many beautiful butterflies flying around the flowers in the meadows. Thanks for your comment.
Try wetting your hands before handling the trout

Great scenery but get rid of the music dudes
