FANTASTIC video! Awesome shots. EXCELLENT narration--clear, interesting, relevant. AWESOME sound capture. Loved it too because you had NO music--I go into the backcountry to hear the wind, and water and footsteps. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! Your comments make it all worthwhile! I really do appreciate your awesome comments. Be sure to check out my other video "The Beaten Path", I think you'll enjoy it too.
Excellent video you guys. Very well done! I did the Heart Lake to YS Lake, down the Thorofare, then down the Snake River and back up and out via Heart Lake two years ago alone. It was a soul changing experience I wouldn't trade for anything. Next year I'm heading down the Bechler. Lord willing. :) Great job you guys! Thank you for bringing us along for the ride.
It sure sounds like you had a phenomenal trip around Heart Lake and down the Thorofare. Yellowstone will certainly impact your life, and make life long memories that you can savor forever. The Bechler area is beautiful but a very different part of Yellowstone. Make sure you visit Mr. Bubbles and the hot springs at the bottom of Dunanda Falls. Thanks so much for your very kind words and taking the time to comment! Continue enjoying Yellowstone.
It was a very enjoyable hike. It's only really tough if you are 75 years old, live 26 feet above sea level, and don't take a day or two to adjust to the 8000 foot elevation change. Thanks for your comment!
This was so much fun to watch! Great job with the editing and loved the music....heeheehee - who else would've used that music to start a nature video!!
I'm glad the smoke and/or fires did not interfere too much with your trip. I know how persistent rain can be a challenge. How hard was it to get a backcountry permit for this area?
Hi Amos, getting permits can be a little challenging if you want certain campsites, but by applying at the earliest time and providing alternate dates and campsites you should have no problems. Thanks for stopping by and hope to catch you in the trail sometime.

Gotta love that western mountain weather!
Thanks. Love August when it's so cool compared to south Florida..
Your hike may have been tough but it looks like you both really enjoyed your trip. Hope you get back to do it again.
