The manga currently is quite close to this arc.

Yukime respects shadow cause she saw him save Marie and it is hinted that Cid saved her in the past in a similar situation to Zeta.
Yukime also fell in love with Shadow after he beat the crap out of her ex lover In the Lawless city arc and the credit incident she only had admiration but when he came to protect her and heal her while calling her to be his precious one and so she felt for him Although Cid was just trying to get money out of him 😂
