Honestly pretty interesting how deep they go into addressing multiverse travel and connections to how the main character got to where he was, other isekai like overlord and mushoku tensei have it for story and lore purposes but for eminence in shadow i didnt expect them to address it due to being far more leaning towards power fantasy than story based
I always thought that because Cid was so obsessed with the concept of magic and getting stronger, but remaining hidden, he, while being isekaied, accidentally made a world that bends to his will, it's why so many people and behaviors of said people are acting the way they are, because it's how Cid want's it to, reality is bending and manipulated on his impulsiveness to make Cid get his way no matter what this theory of mine would explain why so much has gone in his favor despite how silly it was
Sounds like the idea was just stolen from World Trigger. Connecting worlds making travel inbetween possible. But I don't know what is older. Most of the isakais simply just steal these days and aren't really original. While Eminence in Shadow is different as it's not a standard fantasy OP character, he is still very boring as a character and the fights are all really boring as well.
I actually like how the show told the viewer how Earth got magic, BEFORE showing it and never explicitly stating how. Meaning that you could immediately theorize that Earth might have experienced the same thing when Cid got transported or that it happened after it's revealed that Earth does now have magic.
I thought they changed it in the animation and only Cid got re-isekai'd and left Beta out, i was shocked and pissed because the story don't work outside Beta and so i am glad they did it as per the light novel
Think about this though by being isekaid his existence is all but removed from the timeline. But what is his ultimate goal?? To be the emminence in shadow!! So by being isekaid he is actually manifesting the perfect opportunity to return to earth as shadow! His path could have taken no other trajectory!

@@Toonamik I think what killed MCU is not really the Multiverse aspect but the Time Travel aspect where they can just go to past and do some bullshit to revive again, therefore, removing the "finality." Multiverse, in a vacuum, atleast from what I understood in this instance, is that there are just multiple worlds in the same plane that influence one another. Unless time is involved, then it's still better for me than MCU

Even tho Eminence in Shadow was a Comedy it breaks the rules of Isekai trope where Protagonist end goal is to get back home but Shadow just accidentally open a rift to go back home but also explained how their Isekai Multiverse works which most Isekai anime just forget about it and never explained any further. And the ending made it way better cuz instead of Conclusion they did a Prologue for next Arc which makes you feel excited for the Movie.
Well no. Most isekai now don't even have the MC want to go back. Because these aren't normal get transported, it's reincarnated. This is their new world now. And why would they explain it? Magic, reincarnation, it already explained things because it's just based on reincarnation cycles and Buddhist realm logic. Something just known by most people in Japan and even other cultures with their own version like heaven and hell.
I thought the statement of "Exactly 10 million years ago" was a hint. Since the dragons appear to be Dinos I thought maybe the time dilation would be a direct ratio to our world (65 million years ago). We also got Akane saying she's in her 20's now, so it's been between 3 and 10 years since Cid died while it was 18 years ago from Cid's perspective (Note: Cid was 17 when he died on earth). But that reads backwards since more time has past on earth with the dragon/dino relation. while more time has past on other world with Cid's age and the time he's been gone from earth. So my best guess would be a 1:6 ratio. We'll see when Cid returns to shadow garden and they say he's been gone for X amount of time.
The balance of time could also swap every time they come into contact with each other ... Kinda like the ball pendulum thing irl where the last balls kinetic energy gets transfered to the rest
But ye basically what I'm thinking is like world A and world B collide ... A moves faster to the next intersection because of the collision while B slows down and takes longer ... Now because of the desync they don't collide for much longer maybe even multiple rotations of world B ... But when they do collide world A slows down and B gets imparted with the momentum world A lost ... Aka they constantly swap time dilations

Cid is an unreliable narrator so we are lead to believe it is his delusion. It was a play on words that did not translate to well into English and would be challenging to do in a visual medium. Never know we might get a flash back sequence. When I read it I got Blair Witch vibes.
We can say the eminence in shadow has some kinda ability that triggers when he dies... stacking up his powers..... As some one says "Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be transformed from one form to another."
His name ring something. Kagenou was translate as shadow, cid was translate as Lord. So Kagenou Cid is "Lord Shadow." While Minoru translate as "To Bear Fruit" or equivalent to "In Training/In Progress". So Minouru Kagenou should be "To Be The Power in Shadow."
Eminence is peak (just below Mushoku) but man that reveal in the end of him going back to earth was awesome. I loved that they ended the season with how episode 1 started

@@Flame-uo5mp it´s not that I find complex inherently better, it´s more that I find that simplicity to be a bad thing in this case, characters are simple, story wise it´s not really very deep (even if there are some things worth something as shown in the video) . and I overall find the quality to not be comparable, taste sure is subjective, but it´s hard to say that the quality while taking a lot of aspects into account isn´t lesser. comedy is ok for me but not great, the fantasy is not bad, but not more in depth or specially innovative. There was actually a set of books I read in the 80's that dealt specifically with realm shifting, i.e. two planets close enough to open doorways into the other world. (yeah, we didn't have smart phones or book readers back then ... our school had just gotten it's first set of Tandy computers when I was in 12th grade back in 1983-84) Look up the Darwath Trilogy if you are interested ... they really were an excellent read. Great end to your Eminence content for now! Looking forward to your movie cut content.
My little theory is that when cid died and got Isekaid thats when the monsters that attacked the oriana kingdom switched with him and got to earth, think of it as a trade, he got teleported to that world and that world gave earth the power of magic and brought the monsters along with it.
This opens many possibility for TEIS Series. The fact even after Shadow Garden defeat The Cult of Diablos there is more things to know and uncover, with the mystery of the Center of the Multiverse. It brought more power building, world building aspect to this show. This will showcase how far will Shadow Garden and Shadow himself grow beyond the Cult of Diablos.
@@Toonamik The Cult, probably i give Shadow Garden a 50/50 chance against The Cult and Knights of The Round. But the Founder of the Cult and the mastermind behind all of this? I think they will need Shadow to handle him, considering He/She is the one who orchestrated all of this.
One thing the realms also opens up is that the cult itself might not be restricted to just the realm that Shadow Garden calls home. During the Blood moon arc Beta questions how the cult was able to utilize the demon blood. Similar to how in the brief glimpse we got of Akane Nishino in her twenties is shown to be a knight capable of welding magic. Did Earth scientist figure it out on their own or is someone or something pulling the strings to provide knowledge on how to utilize the magic monster blood. To what end is unknown but it opens up loads of possibilities for the series to explore.
the hint of multiple world are actually spread along the story, I think what crossing between world isn't just monster but also humanoid. whenever past scene shown there always seen only human race, so most likely the other races came along the way. these "crossover world" wasn't really new concept either, like GATE actually bringing this up quite early in the story
The reason why there is no season 3 anounced is because there isnt enough metarial to apaft another season after the earth arc there is only one more arc

I'm just wondering about the chronology of the various realms' intersections. There's Cid's reincarnation, there's the existence of humans in two realms implying some past intersection, there's the introduction of magical energy to Cid's new world at some point in its history, there's the demon and/or robot invasions, etc.
Just saw the last 2 episodes, loved the recap! But Iam thinking the biggest shock will be when it turns our it is not all different worlds orbiting around a central point, just one world connecting different points of it's own timeline together to send stuff back and forth that end up forming itself. And Cid is the cause, the all powerfull being, sitting at the center of whirling timeloops swirling around him as it were xD
Maybe the realms colliding when Cid reincarnated explains his absurdly high magical power or something. He was probably caught in the crossfire of an immense of magical power in which was leaking towards Earth causing himself to gain a portion of that power for himself.
He wasn't born with high magical power, he only got the bare minimum. It is already explained that his power and skills are the product of sheer training.

The Kage-Jitsu short that aired along with the final episode of the main series hinted that Beta entered the black hole to Earth along with Cid. This movie oughta be good
The Plot twist of going back to earth made me for the first time in a long time, Go and check out the Manga because I couldn't wait to see what happened next instead of waiting for the next season. Needless to say, I am now caught up on the Manga... lol.
For the cliffhanger ending, i think there is news they want to make a movie where Cid and one of his shade( i don't remember who) isekai back to real world that is already destroyed by monsters.
I love how the last episode talk about the different realms and in it the guy said the giant missing empire went from the one world to the other world then got destroyed in the other world that’s my guess why it didn’t return to it’s orginal realm
there's something intriguing, aat the end of s2 we see cid being the only one going into the black hole but in the kagejitsu episode it seems that beta went into it too 🤔
The time dilation would be i think because the different orbits , og earth might have a longer orbit, and new planet a shorter one, being fantasy we could say that it works out that the faster the planets goes over a lap the more time it passes from the perspective of the other planets
Earth arc is a pretty short arc out of all the arcs so far. But its the most interesting in my perspective. Also beta was supposed to jump into that portal as well and accompany cid to the earth realm but we didnt see that happen 🤔🤔🤔
I think Cid getting isekai'd is a coincidence because it was the beginning of the realms passing each other and he just happen to get caught in the beginning of an eclipse like how when a Luner/solar eclipse happens and there can be partial ones or full ones so maybe the realms can be linked until they fully pass each other.
Yeah thats a big possibility.. it was hinted by nishino that she was now 20 yrs old but still wearing a school uniform means that cid death was at the same time 2 world merges.. the world became chaotic after his death that it was survival of the fittest scenario and the luxury of foods and clothing become scarce..
i have a theory about cid originals world and how he is so strong compered to normal characters from his world now. i think that when world collied they transfer thing of equal value so lets say maybe a lot of monsters with high magical power transferred to cid original world and he got transferred with the same combined power that they held thats why his power is so vast compered to other from that universe. and his power will be the same for his original world because it got split by many people of that world

One thing the realms also opens up is that the cult itself might not be restricted to just the realm that Shadow Garden calls home. During the Blood moon arc Beta questions how the cult was able to utilize the demon blood.
Similar to how in the brief glimpse we got of Akane Nishino in her twenties is shown to be a knight capable of welding magic. Did Earth scientist figure it out on their own or is someone or something pulling the strings to provide knowledge on how to utilize the magic monster blood. To what end is unknown but it opens up loads of possibilities for the series to explore.

the hint of multiple world are actually spread along the story, I think what crossing between world isn't just monster but also humanoid. whenever past scene shown there always seen only human race, so most likely the other races came along the way. these "crossover world" wasn't really new concept either, like GATE actually bringing this up quite early in the story

I'm just wondering about the chronology of the various realms' intersections.
There's Cid's reincarnation, there's the existence of humans in two realms implying some past intersection, there's the introduction of magical energy to Cid's new world at some point in its history, there's the demon and/or robot invasions, etc.

I’ve noticed the consistent theme of Characters getting kidnapped in this anime.
Just saw the last 2 episodes, loved the recap! But Iam thinking the biggest shock will be when it turns our it is not all different worlds orbiting around a central point, just one world connecting different points of it's own timeline together to send stuff back and forth that end up forming itself. And Cid is the cause, the all powerfull being, sitting at the center of whirling timeloops swirling around him as it were xD

Maybe the realms colliding when Cid reincarnated explains his absurdly high magical power or something. He was probably caught in the crossfire of an immense of magical power in which was leaking towards Earth causing himself to gain a portion of that power for himself.
He wasn't born with high magical power, he only got the bare minimum. It is already explained that his power and skills are the product of sheer training.
No, his magic was below the average, but because he train and modifying his body, he goes beyond transcendent.

The time dilation would be i think because the different orbits , og earth might have a longer orbit, and new planet a shorter one, being fantasy we could say that it works out that the faster the planets goes over a lap the more time it passes from the perspective of the other planets
Yeah, it is only a few years passed in Earth since Cid's disappearance while he spent more than a Decade in Isekai.
Earth arc is a pretty short arc out of all the arcs so far. But its the most interesting in my perspective. Also beta was supposed to jump into that portal as well and accompany cid to the earth realm but we didnt see that happen 🤔🤔🤔
the studio is probably cooking something up. In Kagejitsu s2 (chibi short ver. of the anime), they mentioned that Beta was also missing.
This shows multiverse is really cool just confusing as heck. I hear them explain it and I'm like time to listen to that again.
I think Cid getting isekai'd is a coincidence because it was the beginning of the realms passing each other and he just happen to get caught in the beginning of an eclipse like how when a Luner/solar eclipse happens and there can be partial ones or full ones so maybe the realms can be linked until they fully pass each other.
Yeah thats a big possibility.. it was hinted by nishino that she was now 20 yrs old but still wearing a school uniform means that cid death was at the same time 2 world merges.. the world became chaotic after his death that it was survival of the fittest scenario and the luxury of foods and clothing become scarce..

i have a theory about cid originals world and how he is so strong compered to normal characters from his world now.
i think that when world collied they transfer thing of equal value so lets say maybe a lot of monsters with high magical power transferred to cid original world and he got transferred with the same combined power that they held thats why his power is so vast compered to other from that universe. and his power will be the same for his original world because it got split by many people of that world
