  • Lots of interesting scenarios go down in this Tesla FSD v12.3.6 video, especially that interaction with the bus. Still experimenting with camera setup, so please let me know what you guys like!

Tesla Robotaxi is impossible, because FSD still needs *100* *percent* human supervision at all times.

Good camera setup but would be even better if you split screen with FSD render and other half showed all the camera views. That lets us see behind and to side which is important many times. Thanks for the vid.

It's illegal to use fsd on public roadways. Your car's computer does not have a drivers license.
Luckily, people keep posting videos, so it makes it really easy to capture the evidence and submit to DMV/DOT with a formal complaint. We have a small group of folks who just starting the legal process, so hopefully we can get some citations going for these criminals who think its okay to beta test on the same streets as our children.

FSD does pretty well on a very easy drive:
6:08 A wide right turn. Not good.
7:13 Slanted (diagonal) parking spots are not supported
10:18 FSD cannot support HOV lanes automatically
11:12 FSD goes into HOV lane, way too early before a Right turn
14:37 *Human* *intervenes* , no confidence in the Autopark
If the gas pedal is pressed even once, that is an *intervention* .

The problem with fsd is not that it can not do stuff. It is the false sense of security it lures driver into and than the 1% case where it f... up. The driver should alway be engaged and FSD removes that. Alone that Tesla did not allow any neutral company to certify it and lets normal people test it in public is a questionable practise.

_The problem with fsd is ... the false sense of security it lures driver into_
This is a common claim among those seeking to spread FUD about FSD. If it were true, it should be reflected in safety results-right? OK, let's look at that. Teslas with FSD engaged have driven about 1.5 *billion* miles in nearly four years. NHTSA reports that the 2023 fatality rate for human drivers is 1.26/100 million VMT; so average human drivers driving 1.5 billion miles would have experienced 18.9 fatalities. Meanwhile, NHTSA's recent analysis of Autopilot and FSD accidents and fatalities reported that there has been *one* fatal accident among Teslas with FSD engaged during that same period. This makes it clear that FSD Beta/Supervised is something like 20 times safer than an average driver; and it seems unlikely that this would be the case if, as you and others claim, FSD is luring drivers into a false sense of security-at least, enough to cause accidents.
_The driver should alway be engaged and FSD removes that._
Spoken by someone who obviously doesn't have FSD. If I avert my gaze from the road ahead for more than a few seconds, e.g. looking at the display, I get a warning to pay attention to the road. If I get multiple warnings, I get a strike, and FSD is disabled for the remainder of the trip. If I get multiple strikes, FSD is disabled for a lengthy period of time. True, any safety feature devised by humans can be defeated by humans; but the astonishing record of safety of FSD Beta/Supervised is pretty strong evidence that there's isn't any widespread defeating of the Tesla FSD attention monitoring going on.

@@BigBen621 There is no FUD about Tesla FSD, just facts:
After almost *four* *years* in beta, FSD continues to make mistakes on any challenging drive.
FSD is a simple minded Level 2 assistant. Nothing more.
FSD requires *100* *percent* human supervision at all times. What a disappointment.
After many v12 point releases, common problems go *unresolved* . The improvements could be described as *Baby* *steps* .

You are breaking the law, and willfully. Your tesla does not have a drivers license and you have surrendered control of your vehicle on a public roadway. Luckily, your car's computer can be used against you as evidence.

_You are breaking the law, and willfully._
That's absurd. Do you claim that the scores of million drivers who engage adaptive cruise control and lane centering, which have been included in many of not most new cars for years, are similarly breaking the law when they allow these features to control their cars? The main difference is that FSD has an aggressive attention monitoring system, while many of the cars with adaptive cruise and lane centering have little or no attention monitoring.
