As a longtime Innova Birdie thrower (Polecat with a thumbtrac basically :D) I struggled with the feel of the Rattler, especially with forehands and flick putts. It feels lighter and flimsier... it will be great for tossing around and playing catch, but I just couldn't feel as confident with it. Always glad when companies make these guys in Premium plastic, but I wish it felt a little chunkier. Great video, buddy!
Loving the custom plastic on the Robbie C Wizard! I've been sick so I haven't had a chance to practice with it but I've been spinning it on my finger all day in anticipation
I use my glow Loft Hydrogen as my ultimate style disc for those touchy approaches. Never heard of the Rattler so I'll have to hunt one down to try. The Glitch never vibed with me and I am also curious about the new Spore.
I'm super backhand dominant in general but this season so far I've been making more of those little forehands with a touch of anhyzer and also scoobers either outside like 55-60ish feet where I become I very weak putter or even closer in the wind. and all sorts of scrambly style looks on wooded greens. bergs and sinuses; they get a lot of chain height hangtime and my comebacks are manageable
Robbie C. You need to call out the J White Crew (All 3 of them) when you cover Carter Memorial in Trussville and that climb of the " little mountain on hole 8" :) Great Content
Rattler is a 2 speed. They also had ESP, ESP FLX, Cryztal FLX, Jawbreaker, and whatever that “Crazy Tuff” thing they made for the Memorial was. Hit up Infinite or Spinners On The Green if you’re interested.
If a Glitch, Polecat, and Birdie are 1 speeds then the Rattler is a 1 speed. Also obligatory flight numbers are fake and especially 1 vs 2 speed is fake.
Halo Star Polecats are hilarious to me. In the early '00s I putted with DX Polecats that were so soft you could fold them in half, and everyone thought I was insane for even buying one. Twenty years later I come back to disc golf and all the meme teens are throwing $25 Polecats.
they are great. not sure how the original halos fly cause i never got my hands on one but i can throw it on a high anhyzer and it floats so good. you can really power down on it and it will stay straight with a little bit of fade but not much unless you rip it full power. ive only reached about 275 with mine so far. but paired with the star they fly very different @@RobbieCDiscgolf
I’m sorry, but this halo plastic is not premium. I have a halo pig and it’s the cheapest feeling plastic I’ve ever thrown. And it gets big gouges out of it if it hits anything other than grass. Honestly, the only plastic that inova makes that I like is the star plastic. I really wish they had a slightly less squishy star plastic that they would use for the pig and some of their other putters. The main issue I have with Inova is the cheap plastics on many of there discs. I’ve been spoiled by MVP and thought space athletics.
thankfully this is actually Halo Star. The Halo Nexus pigs I would completely agree are base plastic and my nexus pigs wore out faster than any R-Pro i've ever thrown! Completely agree!
@@RobbieCDiscgolfok I didn’t know there was a halo star nice to know. Do they have any pigs in a nice plastic that lasts a long time? I know you are the pig farmer so I assume you know of all the options they have available right now. I can only find cheep feeling pigs sadly. Otherwise I like the shape, flight and designs on the discs.
@@mikemikemikemikemikemeup that has been part of Robbie's journey to find a premium plastic Pig. We were so hopeful the Halo Pig would be the answer, and heeven did a pig battle with them... but they are not great. So the quest continues. There are a bunch of us wanting Premium Pigs... but we are still waiting. :D
@@ogdiscgolfersad. I really like everything about it except the plastic. I guess I’ll just keep switching between the pig and some of my other overstable discs like it. Do you know of any company that makes a disc similar to the pig? I haven’t found another disk that has the same shape and feel that the pig has.
Shout out Robbie! I’m having a fantastic day! Thanks for asking sir!
The Rattler is one of Discraft's most underrated molds. They are so fun to throw and can be such a great weapon for upshots, throw-ins and long putts.

Finally someone makes a. Idea with the Rattler, it’s the original glitch type disc before any other!,,,

Love my halo polecat, got my first and only ace to date with it; also nice wrestling reference with Jake the snake
I hate I’m missing the compound and not able to meet you. If you wanna hit Dundee I’ll make whatever time

Have you ever thrown an opto beetle from latitude 64? They don't make it in any other plastics, or any heavier than like 147g... VERY unfortunate😢
I have! I actually have a video about it here on the channel, comparing it to the glitch! I love it!
You had me at "premium plastic 1 speed"

I love my polekat. I got the new halo Kat Mertsch polecat and a star polecat and I love them both. They actually fly a lot different than one another
How are the Kat ones holding up?

I putt with esp rattlers. I used to putt with D Rattlers, but they were very stiff. I use newer D Rattlers for a lot of my approaches.
How is Robbie today? And that was a Lazer first shot!
The world's slowest lazer, haha.
I’m pretty sure I saw you at University of Montevallo the other day when I was leaving. The gnats are awful out there!
Are all the disc selling sites crazy, or is the Rattler actually a 2 speed? I'm getting a lot of 2 2 -2 1 when I do the research.
The Berg is always available in premium plastic.

Nothing so far that flies/feels like the Pig. Hopeful Innova will eventually make some Premium plastic.
Birdie has was approved 3 years before the polecat... just sayin
“Has was”?
Might check your scores they don’t seem correct
