i saw this in my theater class when finals happen and we had no finals, so we played some games, took a break and we watch this. it was so funny we all loved it!
It's been ages since I've seen any RSC stuff, I watched the complete works when I was in high school, and havn't thought about it in ages. Thanx for the laugh and trip down memory lane :)
Obi-Wan is in a reference to Star Wars (and the rest of the classic trilogy and prequels) Obi-Wan Kenobi was both Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker's first teacher (Jedi Master) he is known for wearing a earth toned brown robe which is why he calls him Obi-Wan.
That is brilliant! I remember when we did that for one of my classes in high school... we ended up watching Young Frankenstein! One of the best finals I'd ever had!
my teacher said that "an english department student must know about William shakespeare" and he played this drama in our literature class and it's so funny...
I so badly wanted to see them perform live. Sadly, even when living in the UK and when they were touring California and were performing not far from where I lived, I still couldn't manage it.The live performance must have been incredible fun!
Well they both are in symbiotic of each other, you can't have the success of one with out the other and the success of Star Wars allowed for Star Trek to revisit their past characters from the cancelled TV show and create the movies that we now have to enjoy!
My drama teacher showed this to us in class and it is literally the best thing to come from anything shakespeare
Ariel Piver I can’t say I wholly agree, nevertheless, I’m truly glad that you like it and seem to hold it in high regard! 😁
My english teacher showed us this video in class. At first I was like "Meh, it will be so boring". After 5 minutes I think I just cried from laughter.
The part where he says "Well I didn't write it." He was a writer for their performance XD
I saw this in middle school. Changed my life
I truly hope it changed your life in a hood way. :)
I did this show in high school and it was one of the best periods of my life. It was so much fun.

Thank you so much for posting this. I've been really wanting to watch the whole thing instead of just bits I found on here : D
That's because it is. He's intentionally alluding to both Star Wars and Star Trek at the same time.
I do... the little sarcasm in their changes is funny if you catch them!
My professor played this video for his theater class, i found it hilarious, thanks for the upload XD

its the area around the nose also. the cheekbones throw it off though.
Austen looks like a mix between a young Robert Wagner and Daniel Hugh Kelly.
