- Why does God seem so mean in the Old Testament? Doesn’t it seem like some of the things He says are harsh and sometimes even mean or unfair? Well I don’t believe that God is ever unfair or mean. Everything we see Him do in His revealed Word is with a purpose. Let’s look today at some of those harsh statements from Leviticus 26:14-39 as God tells Israel what will happen to them if they don’t listen to Him.

This made me cry because I suffered panic attacks while in sin and when I read this God came to me and I was overcome with the words im so sorry I hurt you oh how could I have ever done that!

God knows how to reach us individually. For me, He does it with love. Works every time. He says he loves me and here comes the flood gate and I melt like butter. And, With the inability to comprehend things, he puts things in my way to show me. Like you for example. I struggle with some understanding about things, and here you are popping up on my feed and I go check you out and what do you do? The very thing I am needing to help me get along with my bible study. It took me over 20 plus years to even get to be willing to comment to reading the old testament because I would get angry at God. But Things in my life has happened to get me to the point where I am ready, But again, I get frustrated with God because of my not understanding and he sends you to me and I thank you for doing what you do, it has been very helpful. Please carry on. I just started Numbers today.
We have our on going bible study from Genesis & now we are in Leviticus 22.
We realized really God's law is so hard & that how we really need Jesus Christ for us to come near to God as God intended. Our willingness & enablement to fulfil God's law is by & through the enablement of Christ Jesus in us & the in-dwelling of God's Holy Spirit in us. God bless us all for our journey in God's Kingdom. In Jesus MIGHTY NAME! AMEN. 🙏
