    Makes dreads faster than I finish in bed 😂

    It doesn't matter, it's still not truly locked. It only looks kind of locked. It has to go through budding and the rest of the phases like every other starting method... It will still frizz up and go through the ugly phase and it can still be undone if not careful because it's not truly locked... It'll still take about a year.

    So big question, with doing crochet locks is there an ugly dread phase or is it pretty decent looking?

    • @jamesbennett8637
      @jamesbennett8637 Рік тому +13

      Crochet or instant loc’s have a matured look immediately after they are constructed, and can be washed and styled. Crochet or instant Loc’s will also tighten more as they age. And instant or crocheted locks have no ugly stage.

    • @Red-ev8ls
      @Red-ev8ls Рік тому +1

      Really depends on hair as I crocheted my dreads and while they were considered locked up as I was able to wash them right away in my 11 months of having them they look drastically different now then when I first got them I wanna say they started to look “mature” for me around late 3 months to early 4 months I had around 2 inches of length originally and in my 11 months My hair grew to 6 inches

    • @Red-ev8ls
      @Red-ev8ls Рік тому +2

      Also depends how much you crochet it my mom did mine and it was her first time around it so I’m sure a professional could make them look much more mature than my first experience lol

    Man doing this to get dreadlock the pain is unbearable. It's like a needle poking on the scalp. Just imagine just sitting there for 6-7 hours it's actual torture 🤣
    It's my first time getting instant locs and man my lips is dry and whole body stiffened to the point that I get cramps on my left chest because I press it hard to take the pain.
    Anyways, I got a full head locs with only 21 or 22 locs. Because my hair is thinning especially at the top of my head and also lots of breakout hairs that aren't the same length.
    Hair type wise. Mine is 2a-2c. Freezy and brittle but less hair.
    My crown area have only 1 locs, 2 on the front and another 2 on the center that makes a total of 5 locs on the top of my head.
    I'm taking a hair, nail & skin supplement and a scalp therapy by Herbal Pharm. it's my 3rd or 4th day so not much different yet.

      @@xicegod6297 The pain part is when he start to crochet near to the roots. After that he go down lower doesn't hurt at all.
      Today I visit the loctition to do maintenance because the shaft has hair sticking out.
      And yes he pull the hair and then crochet them. Hey thanks for the advice.

      You should use hemp oil on your scalp. It's better than castor oil.

    • @Anonymous-ss1ee
      @Anonymous-ss1ee Рік тому

      @@CarynDPrescott I use JoJoba oil with 3 spike of tee tree oil in it. My shampoo is ryo to promote hair growth. And I'm using Finesteride 1mg prescription to slow the hair shredding process and increase hair growth.
      Now there are tons of new hair growth and those baby hair going crazy. Left on my crown area, where I can still see my scalp, but its growing.
      Still with dreadlocks and I'm enjoying the journey.
