If it's any help there are some versions of Sonic that have a mowhawk (sonic satam, Sonic underground and adventures of sonic etc.) It's a good frame of reference to maybe just start with a mowhawk sort of...style? And go from there? I'm spitting ideas here definitely subbed to see how this goes. You can do this!

Use on the right track with that hair dryer puller tool u was using. Just gotta add Jamaican lime twist firm wax. Sonics hair is like wicks/(fat dreadlocks). U just part it how u was, use wax for hold n leave it alone.

One thing about a lot of kids, they seem to not care if it doesn't look like what they wanted. If you tell them you'll do your best & that it may not turn out like they want, they're just happy you tried. I tried to do a tiger face on my little brother. I thought it looked absolutely horrible. It didn't look anything like the picture. He absolutely LOVED it, though.

I love how Black parents are allowing their sons to grow their hair out. In my day and traditional environment, most Black boys couldn't do that, apart from a high top fade (and even that was a challenge in my parent's home, lol). Our hair is amazing. We are amazing. ✊🏾🖤

I'm so jealous and happy this child has a parent that cares enough to teach her son about haircare. Both of my parents and all my sister's have pin straight, super fine, thin hair. No one ever taught me what I was supposed to do with my thick wavy/curly hair. So I just slicked the front part back with a hair band and called it good. My mom used to make me brush my hair three times a day and would get upset I didn't want to brush it while it was wet. My dad told me I looked like "the red-headed stepchild"(which is wrong on so many levels), but I literally didn't know what I was doing wrong. I'm so glad I had access to the internet.

Yes, this tip is going to come from a white woman but I’ve been braiding hair for over 25 years. I’m gonna help you with the part it might work for you it might not but hopefully it will so here we go.
Go get yourself a mechanical pencil. Yes, the kind that you press on the top in the pencil comes out on the bottom.
Use the pencil to draw your zigzag on his head. It will help you get the perfect edges. You might have to go back and correct a little bit but because it’s so skinny it works it really does and when you grease the parts, the pencil will come off that’s the best part ever , I have a son that’s mixed and that’s what I always use on him. Good luck with the sonic though I’m interested to see if you actually do accomplish this one in the future. I’ll check back periodically.

@@brys4621 what ? Did you read my comment? I said the best part of having a boy is that you can get their hair CUT at a barbershop. CUT as in getting hair cut short with a lineup, a typical male haircut. You still have to wash the hair & moisturize even if your child goes to the barbershop and gets a low fade & lineup to keep their hair clean. It just won’t be as much work because they will hardly have any hair.
