The time you spend doubting yourself and wondering if you’re good enough for this world is a waste of the time you’ve been given on this world. I’m telling you stop it right now. Just stop. You’ll never be perfect, you don’t need to be. You’ll never be like anyone else, you don’t need to be. You will never stop fucking up or make mistakes. You are human. That’s what we do. And we learn, we grow and we do a little better every day. Stop expecting yourself to be some sort of image of perfection. It doesn’t exist. Your flaws, your tears, your temper, your insecurities, your heartbreak…it makes you interesting. Your joys, quirks, your passion, your enthusiasm…it makes you interesting. You’re human…It makes you interesting. Stop hiding it. Share it and shout it from the rooftops with pride. You will never exist again. Don’t you fucking get that?
Thanks for your free acting lessons, it’s hard when your a teen actor living across the world from where the real acting goes on and don’t have the money for those online lessons and have to balance school❤️
Hi Wendy 👋 We are currently doing the emotions in acting through improvisation and the importance of it in acting. When I had to come on stage with my colleague actor, I was given extreem happiness and he had to play sadness. We had to keep the emotion believable on during 20minutes. It was so much fun doing it. We both succeeded in doing it and the best thing (for me) was not the good critics, but the fact that everyone had to see a part of me :)
I have taken some acting classes, but YOU are the first person that truly helped me understand how to get into character, and you made it sound so simple!! I went through every emotion with you! I can't wait to start my journal. THANK YOU!
Your materials and acting tips helped me leave impressions on a few casting directors in UK!! Amazing!! 😄 Love to see more from you on the business side and how to maintain relationships with casting directors
You are smart! I do have a very popular training program with 4,400 students that take that course already. It teaches the business side and our actors are having incredible experience. You can find out more about it on the website: hollywoodwinnerscircle (dot com) or DM me on Instagram @wendyalane1 if you have questions and to see if the course may be right for you.
@@wendyalane1 Absolutely! And thank you again for sharing your experiences and knowledge about the industry and what it takes to become a successful or genuine actor.🎭
Wendy-you should definitely be an acting teacher! Excellent Excellent OUTSTANDING! A fun way to look at emotions is to think you are in a grocery store and you have to go to certain aisles to get what you want! 😉 But sometimes they change the aisles so you have to have another way/experience to get there...😊
Omg‼️I laughed and cried throughout this entire video😂😢 Such real life examples made for true understanding of truthful portrayal of emotions. Hilarious delivery on some of the examples as well as so sad, but much needed to paint that picture in my head of what needs done and how to do it! Thank you❤
All good info. It's merely being able to emote on cue, it's called practicing. So you can bring it up (turn it on or off) at any time you want. Of course it's nice to have a well written script that helps. But you may have to do this a dozen times (coverage) on camera. It's called technique, so stay in a legit class until you can do this on cue over and over again. Also be able to do ALL of these emotions at levels from 1-10.
Whenever I see your face, my heart fills with happiness. You have this je ne sais quoi, a feel-good charisma, Wendy. And I am crazy about your hair; it has so much personality! I love you.
Omg Wendy, I have the same circumstance with my 86 yr old dad and the same feelings about animals… so glad I found your videos. I’m 56 and decided I want to pursue my passion for acting. You are giving me inspiration! Also I love that you said “one time in band camp” 👏🏻👏🏻
We are from the same generation. If you are just starting out and following your dream I have a feeling my Master course will be just right for you. DM me on Instagram @wendyalane1 if you have questions and to see if the course feels like the next right step for you!
Who cares that you're 56!??? I'm 44 and did not dk my first play until age 25 and jsut last year finally got an agent . It definitely doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you . Although I obviously don't know you , I am very happy that you are pursuing this awesome craft !!!! KEEP PUSHING🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
When I want to emote happiness I think of music or my cat because those things make me feel happy. When I watch the news and see stories about the war, people dying, children dying, that makes me feel sad and also angry that there is injustice in this world, when I see stories on the news about natural disasters like earthquakes, that makes me feel sad for all those people who lost their lives. I recited an antiwar poem in the first week of May at an open mic night and I could barely get through saying some of the words because the injustice in the world makes me feel so sad. I love the idea of an emotional journal! I'm going to try practicing that!
omg i relate sm i hate seeing those pov tiktokers act so unrealistically and the comments say they deserve an oscar and their own netflix show like wtf

It’s why you say it.
Thanks. Been guilty of overacting or emulating some other actor. Ive still got a ways to go but 1) once I learned how to relax (which is an ongoing process) I have better access to the emotional palette. 2) learning my lines very well has allowed me to focus on the other person(s) in the scene. There are plenty of times I still suck but much less so than ever before.
