I would never stay at that place. They pretty much let anyone pay for a room regardless of any corrupt activities. I don't blame Elisa's parents for suing them. There should have been NO WAY anyone could have gotten to the top floor except an employee. They should have had inside security also.

The troublesome part that mindboggles me is the edited elevator video, once again, that only could have been accessed by the staff. It’s cut at multiple parts AND we can’t see the actual seconds, minutes stamps at all! It’s definitely been tampered with.

I do feel horrible for the people who drank the water, but most of all for Elisa and her family. May she rest in peace.

I worked in downtown Los Angeles in the mid-1980's. Richard Ramirez was a regular customer at a drugstore I worked at near Pershing Square, about three blocks from the Cecil Hotel . Of course, we had no idea that he was a serial killer. He was just a skinny guy with bad skin who always seemed to be wearing a black t-shirt whenever he came in the store. The only reason Ramirez stood out at all had nothing to do with him personally. A store employee; named Mr. Sherman, who used to tell really bad jokes; I mean jokes that were so not-funny you would sometimes laugh at how unfunny they were, saw Ramirez wearing a black AC/DC shirt while standing in line to buy some beer, said to me and another person I worked with, "Kurt, Michael - Look at that guy (pointing at Ramirez' t-shirt). Is he AC or is he DC? A ha ha ha ha ha!" (I told you he wasn't funny. I think I face palmed when he said that.) The only reason I remember this is that two or three months later Ramirez' picture was plastered on the local TV news and newspapers and he was captured that day or next day. The day after that we started talking about Ramirez; how many times we had seen him come in, and I specifically told Mr. Sherman; our un-funny comedian, that he was lucky that Richard Ramirez was standing at the back of a long line of customers that day and didn't hear the lame joke that was made at his expense. I don't think Richard Ramirez would have reacted well to humor made at his expense.

Elisa lamb : the manager and maintenance people seems so guilty. The manager, she shows no emotion and says why would we have an alarmed fire door and someone opens it and we don't go and check and the excuse could be the alarm didn't go off. I don't believe that for a second. She says i think she got up through the ladder. No if you was being pursed you would go through the fire door inside and set off the alarm and that's a fact. She also to tells her employees not give statements. The maintenance guy knows where the water tanks are and it may not be the maintenance guy who is involved. But someone in the hotels aswell as as the manager is involved in this Cecil hotel killing.
The motive is because elisa went into a room she wasn't permitted in and seen something she shouldn't have quoted in the Netflix series.
I think the lapd and the last bookstore could have connections but if that was the case that would be a whole different story

Actually Richard Ramirez flopped at the Hotel BRISTOL..i know what the movie says, and what the media is saying..and what those who weren't even alive in the 80s are saying.. my voice is drowned out by those who weren't even there..both the Cecil and the Bristol are flophouses..the Bristol is still open as far as i know..if RM couldn't flop at the Bristol he would flop at the Cecil..i was charged $11 for one night in 1984 or 1985..the BRISTOL had a flag banner hanging off the second floor that said $2 a night.. i didnt stay over because I was out all night..you wouldn't want to stay at either place..they had no locks on the room doors and a shared bath . Its not as if these hotels had rental contracts..General Assistance day these hotels filled up but the GA checks were not enough to pay for a full monthly rental..
The reason they're saying RM stayed at the Cecil is theyre piling it on with all the rest of the deaths over there..the developers tried to renovate the Cecil into another boutique hotel but they had money problems so it is closed up today.
