In This Video We Are Going to Focus on The Staple Singers Who Have Sadly Passed Away. The Staple Singers Were an American Gospel, Soul, And R&B Singing Group. Roebuck "Pops" Staples, The Patriarch Of The Family, Formed The Group With His Children Pops,Cleotha, Pervis, And Mavis. Yvonne Replaced Her Brother When He Was Drafted into The U.S. Army. They Are Best Known for Their 1970s Hits "Respect Yourself", "I'll Take You There", "If You're Ready (Come Go with Me)", And "Let's Do It Again". While The Family Name Is Staples, The Group Used "Staple" Commercially.

For me , The Staple Singers ' performance with The Band in The Last Waltz movie ,is one of the finest of the Rock era . If you haven't already seen the film then please dont wait much longer ...it is phenomenally brilliant ,unsurpassed in musicality and excellence .It really is a must ,must see experience .

People talk about Jazz and Rock for the influence of music today. Not realizing that Gospel is a huge infuence to blues itself. I am a black american. I do not want to get into black gospel with you guys. It wil make rock look bad. Mahalia Jackson was one of my favorite fathers singers who song at the March on Washington
