    I've had them for the last two and a half years, and I consider myself an intermediate level city skater. I skate everyday, to and from work, and also recreationally including skatepark and other rough stuff.
    They're holding up great. Of course, I've been slowly upgrading them, but that's another one of their advantages; they're compatible on many levels with most freeskates. They have 165/195 mounting, most aftermarket buckles would fit, all wheels and bearings eventually need replacing too...
    So it's a cheap beginner skate, but it might very well be a boot that lasts years and holds up through a skater progress.
    And any beginner will have a better experience on these than on any cheap soft fitness skate, so it's more likely that they keep skating.

    I've just had my 49th birthday and got a pair to learn on (Mid life crisis anyone? lol). I had seen them get good reviews on other vids so went to my local Decathlon store to try them on. Which I am glad I did as I felt more comfy in a size larger than I would have ordered online (Saved me a lot of hassle returning them). With no previous experience they seem comfy, secure, not to heavy and so far easy for a beginner to skate on and a great price. Thank you Rich please keep the vids coming.

      Don’t give it up!
      When I first started skating, I tried it for a few months, decided it was unrealistic around my area, and confined my skates to the garage for the best part of a decade. How I wish I’d persevered, I’d be a much better skater at this point!
      The skills will come, your overall fitness will come, you will become more efficient as you progress, trust me!

I live right in the city of Birmingham so I'll be looking to tear it up as I get more confident, responsibly mind, as you are careful to set out in your other videos, a commendable philosophy.

I try to be responsible; I’m out to enjoy myself but I don’t want to do that at the extent of being rude or anti-social. I want to promote skating and show it in a good light where I can.

    Good. I think anyone buying a more cost effective skate would be excited by this video. Really pleased you are doing this. i havent seen any reviews (back to blading has one for a low cost skate but its very short video and not put to the test like these) for low cost skates. The overall impression UA-cam gives people coming to skating is that you need to spend £200+ Luckily i never saw a UA-cam video before i bought my first skates. Otherwsie i probably wouldnt have got any, wouldnt spend that sort of money with zero experience of skating.

    Cool.. Nice skating! I'm not familiar with Oxelo skates, but they seem to roll just fine! 70 quid? Sounds pretty good to me, especially for anyone just starting out. I first skated on a crappy recreational pair of skates, two part axle bolts that kept coming loose, no frame adjustment (riveted to boot) awful support, and worse wheels, just a painful experience. You'd hate a first pair of skates to put any would be skaters off skating for life! These look a much better bet.

      Hey thanks, Dude. Yeah, this is my angle for testing these; we need more skaters, right? I’m hoping to show these can offer an affordable route into inline skating for new-comers. Now I ordered 40 and 39. I usually wear 43 shoes and my feet are 260mm long. Am I doing something wrong? Also the boot is the same as the Tempish SR Pro, just the colors are different.

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  3 роки тому +1

      This surprises me as mine seem true to my regular foot size. Could it be to do with foot width?

    • @Flowmotion-Parkour
      @Flowmotion-Parkour 3 роки тому

      @@RichHayterSkater Thanks for your answer :) Yes, my feet seem to be narrow, like about 100mm. I am going to try on the 40 and 39. I read, that the boot will get wider over time, but also that the foot expands during skating. How ist that affecting the fit? Should the skate be a bit narrow, so it will adapt to my feet over time or go ahead with a skate, that fits good already in the beginning?

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  3 роки тому

      It’s a hard shell so the boot won’t adapt; it is however fairly flexible when you crank up the buckles and I find it does tighten more than my FR1s. The liner will lose some puffiness and become thinner over time, which is worth considering.

    • @Flowmotion-Parkour
      @Flowmotion-Parkour 3 роки тому

      @@RichHayterSkater 40 was way too small. The outer plastic boot is the same in size 42 and 41. 40 and 39 are also sharing the size. However I took the 41 and I could put something between inner boot and outer boot. So far skating with them was great :))
