Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the easy steps and breakdown of the installation. I’ve been a windows baby my entire life and was comfortable in my zone but after forcing copilot AI onto me, I’ve finally had enough of MS’s invasive bullcrap. Will be binging more of your videos in the near future and thanks again for helping new converts like me!

Very good, thank you. The timing on this was great, as I'm starting my Linux journey.

I have a question, did you download Rufus to your external usb? Or did you download it to Windows?

I have a hp pavilion laptop, bought it in 2010. It had windows 7 on it with 2gb ram. Upgraded it to windows 10 which I shouldn’t have because it became slow. I eventually made up my mind to install Linux Mint Cinnamon hoping it would work faster & better than windows 10. I installed it 2 weeks ago and each time I switch the laptop on, it takes 15 to 20 minutes to eventually get to the insert your password screen. Do you think I should reinstall Linux mint cinnamon? If so, to do it, would I just switch it on & go to boot options & install from usb stick?

    Hello!
I really hope someone can answer this question for me!
Is there a chance to install Linux Mint XFCE version and keeping the windows data? I'm trying things out for the first time and my computer is too old to take cinnamon!

I wouldn’t set a windows user up with cinnamon or mate starting out. I’d set them up with xfce it’s lightweight and easier to configure and customize.
