Parasyte: The Grey (Korean: 기생수: 더 그레이) is a 2024 South Korean sci-fi horror body snatcher television series directed and co-written by Yeon Sang-ho. The series is a live-action spin-off of the manga series Parasyte by the Japanese artist Hitoshi Iwaaki and depicts a confrontation with unidentified parasitic creatures that live on humans and have the urge to kill humans. It stars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun. It was released worldwide on Netflix on April 5, 2024, and received generally positive reviews.

That's the premise on the anime one.
The parasytes are not "gooD", this alien did not have any choice, she was the only body in the area to take control of with the limited time they have as a worm finding a host. Lucky enough the girl was fatally injured.
We agree on the facts. That’s why we have a “good” alien by our standards of categorization. You can change the labels but we aged on the facts presented.
For the purpose of discussion. “Good” is important for who can we trust or should ALL the aliens be killed, etc
The girl does sound like the friend from Queen of Tears...but she's actually an OG techno idol in Kpop. But a wife from Queen of Tears is in this episode. ;)

@@jamorant640 Lee Jung Hyun...if the character had an alien in her pinky it would match her idol days since she used it as a mic.
Good adaptation, has some faults but this is generally how adaptations should be made. Set in the same universe but a different story without trampling all over the original work or ruin pre-existing characters just because they can for whatever delusional reason people spew. Overall enjoyable show especially for what's going on with entertainment industry these days.
Even if the adaptation have the same story, it still can be good if they done it right. For example is Death Note og LA

Adorkable is right about the shotguns. idk why theyre using pump action shotguns for this. semi auto shotguns have existed for a long time. the anime even used a type of full auto shotgun, i think it was the AA-12? but a lot of companies have been making semi auto shotguns for both civilians and cops so its weird theyre using pump action in the show.
maybe the showrunner just thought the pumping looked cooler or something?

The first word that the woman is saying is not "Annyeong" if I remember correctly it's like "Anya" and it's not in any language, it's just her own way of greeting. They have explained it in a video or post.

I hate the facts korean try to copy japanese parasyte series but later for some certain reasons,I change my mind...it was thanks to japanese live action original certain character make appearance as cameo make me interested.
Imitation? copy? Don't you know the spin-off concept? That's funny
What a ridiculous inferiority complex and jealousy ! How could you imagine Koreans would copy Japanese culture which is far inferior ? Copying the other way around happens 10 times more frequently.
For reference, parasyte's original author Hitoshi Iwaki praised the drama.
