Another tidbit. The glitch for rare candies also works for farming Bottle Caps at Game Corner in Celadon City. If you don't know, Bottle Caps can be traded to an old man inside the daycare at Route 5. Bottle cap = 1 perfect IV. Gold Bottle Cap = 6 (all) perfect IV.
It can also be used to get the fossil that spawns daily in cerulean cave to respawn also I know this becuase of johnstones shiny professor oak challenge in lets go
Pretty sure they were all designed to respawn on a daily basis. You can potentially get more Master Ball in Cerulean Cave that way, but the items there are random, so you can probably just restart for the 1% chance of a Master Ball...
Oh wow this game's kind of an oldie now compared to the newer titles huh. I really liked the affirmation that the rare candy glitch won't mess up the save file seeing as that's something most people wouldn't mention, so definitely appreciated.
This game was such a blast from the past. Because if you played Red, blue or yellow on the game boy colour, this is just a remake / revamp! The Nostalgia levels whilst playing let’s Go, Hit like no other Pokémon game to come out (in relatively recent times). The Go catch system is a tad different to wearing down wild Pokémon by battling, but in the long run. It’s way more efficient! 😊🫶
A lot of people don’t like these games because they’re kind of easy, but I think having a Pokémon game that beginners can easily pick up is a good thing, and it’s not like it’s unplayable for a longtime fan such as myself (well, okay, hitting the scene Gen 6 may not qualify as a longtime fan, but you get my point). I tried the rare candy glitch, and turns out it still works, I didn't get it right at first though, when I fast forwarded ahead one day, it didn't work, but when I did a whole month several times back-to-back, it worked each and every time! So, for those who are saying the rare candy glitch doesn't work anymore or is patched, you're wrong, it still works!
I know that several items have a chance to respawn after a day change, so I'm unsure if the rare candies are truly a glitch because it may be intended. The two I know of for sure are the randomized fossils in the end-game cave (I forgot it's name) and a moonstone in Mt. Moon.
The "You used an item thing" seems like such a small code oversight I was surprised it wasn't patched out overnight. They probably just forgot to set a variable for the opposing trainers name.
Does the cerulean city nugget glitch work in this game? Go to cerulean city, defeat the 5 trainers, but before defeating the rocket member in disguise, place all you pokemon in pc and only keep a low level pokemon, when you talk to him he gives you a nugget, if you lose and talk to him again, hr gives you another nugget
I think there are several items throughout the game that are hidden and are replenished daily. The rare candy spot is one of them, which is why changing the date works
For the infinite rare candy glitch cant you just do the same basic thing but go forward and back one day if it spawns each day without having to remember dates
For the 1:57 infinite rare candy glitch you have to go to that route and do The Local communication trade and then Change date then go to the online trade and change the date again for it to work.

Can confirm 24/09/24 this still works. Its more like a 25% chance now and you’ll have to go a few days ahead. If you ain’t getting anything, wait 24 hours and try again. Route 6 rare candy will respawn eventually and once it does, just stay standing there and rinse the date. Go forward like two days, then next go five. Took me two hours till I got 100
As someone that has a drifted left controller, lets go is insanely hard. I got to Lavender town in around 7 hours. I did try and grind for squirtle, charmander and bulbasaur. (For old time sakes.) That kinda took like 1 or 2 hours total. So it took me around 5 to 6 hours of actual story.
The rare candy isnt a glitch its a reoccurring hidden item like the hidden ones on cycling Road or underground passes. Eevee/pikachu tail will shake telling you an item is hidden somewhere
The infinite rare candies thing is because hidden items are set to a time replenish cycle after a certain amount of time has passed items will be restocked in the world
The glitch I want to know is, how do some ppl permanently mega their Pokémon and then take them online. Fought more than a few ppl with full mega teams and then, they could even mega into x or y on top of it, aka mewtwo x could mega into y because it was just a mewtwo according to the game. Also chancy hunting is 90k exp... sooo it’s faster than rare candy.
You can do this with the guy that gives you Poké Balls as well for money. Just use one or rid of one and he'll give you 10 more and have a total of 19. Not as time consuming, but you don't have to worry about all of that extra stuff dealing with online.

It can't be patched. I made this video with the game version of 1.0.2 ( can see this at 0:09 ). Just double checked, and the game's most up to date version is still 1.0.2. Meaning they haven't released an update since this video's been made. So I'm sorry, but it's physically impossible for the glitch to be patched. They would have to release an update to patch it

you have the automtic time off so when you do that glitch for longer than a min you need not only set the day 1 day forwath but you also need to do a min other wise it wil not be a full day

For people reading this, yes, it works with all hidden items. Bottle caps, fossils, and whatever else you find as a hidden items.
The spot where the Rare Candy you found is never had an indication of an item being present in any version, including old generations' versions of the same game. in Gen 8/9, these otherwise impossible to find (without looking it up or manually checking every single tile in the game) hidden items are highlighted with a sparkle. It's definitely not a bug. And being able to farm it by changing the date is also not a bug, that's literally fully intended behavior. It's literally how you're SUPPOSED to get unlimited amounts of certain items, including Master Balls (cerulean cave). You literally just discovered farming and were like "woah I shouldn't be able to do this" like yes you should that's the only way to farm these items and that's on purpose. The "you used an item" glitch happens *every single time* an NPC uses an item in a battle. EVERY time. There is no trigger condition for it. They just never wrote a different line of text for an NPC using an item. There is no "variable" Ekans' movement on slopes is less of a glitch and more of an oversight. The hitbox is not the same size and shape as the model. the Cerulean Cave lightning thing is not a glitch at all, not even close. If you look at the ground you can see that it's literally just different colored lighting throughout the cave, and the lighting used on models takes whatever is closest to it. Here's a bit of unintended behavior you did miss tho: LGPE have no anti-cheat. You can save-edit to create modified mons that have illegal moves (like giving Machamp Shadow Ball) and battle online, on-cart, with those obviously hacked mons. You cannot get banned in any capacity for this, they're not even looking for it. (not that using hacked or generated mons would have put you at risk in the first place, because they can often be traded too, and banning any console with hacked or generated mons would ban lots of players who unknowingly receive these modded mons.

I noticed while doing the rare candy glitch. Eevees tail will sometimes start wagging, really really fast for no reason.
That indicates a hidden item in the direction you're looking at. It's an intended feature to help find invisible treasures.

Rare Candy glitch is useless just Catch Combo for lvls it's way easier and you can get shinies like that.
You can do this with the guy that gives you Poké Balls as well for money. Just use one or rid of one and he'll give you 10 more and have a total of 19. Not as time consuming, but you don't have to worry about all of that extra stuff dealing with online.

For the infinite rare candy glitch, it seems to work best if you alternate between the codes (pikachu, pikachu, pidgey) and (pikachu, pikachu, eevee)
