It isn't. The writer has zero idea how to properly write a main character. They have to be redeemable, likable, etc, not a one dimensional bully character.

The way that one of the best written series of all time came from what seemed like a one-off skit blows my mind. The way the most recent episodes gets my blood pumping is something that no other piece of media is able to elicit from me. Could not be more hyped for the final two episodes, I know they're going to be amazing.
Idk, to me the writing leaves a lot to be desired. It's an enjoyable series to be sure, but calling it the "best written series of all time" is extremely hyperbolic. Killing off Charmander before the MissingNo/Mewtwo plotline was finished was an extremely stupid mistake and makes the whole series feel incomplete and disjointed. With Charmander dead, he'll never be able to take responsibility for the mess he created when he trapped Hitmonchan in the other dimension. Now, Mewtwo will be waiting in Cerulean Cave forever for a Charmander who isn't coming. This doesn't make sense. Plus, in no scenario could I ever think that a Caterpie was capable of killing a Charmander, even one weakened by a Squirtle. Caterpies don't have hands. They can't pick up sharpened objects and stab another Pokemon with it. The worst a Caterpie can do, even to a defenseless Pokemon, is tackle or bite it until it faints, or spin string around it to slow it down. That's it. So, yeah, there was some pretty poor writing in this series.

DANG THE FIRST FIGHT WITH CATERPIE WAS SAVAGE! Edit: These episodes were the best thing to bingewatch on New Year's Day. I am really upset that Charmander died. That absolutely broke my heart. The way Squirtle was treated by the Caterpie and Chimchar's similar death. Ouch. These flashbacks were insane. Well-made, and sad 10 episodes 😢.

I get at the end of the day, Squirtle's conflict with where his agreeable nature lead him, as well as how to become an effective leader is far more interesting then Charmander finally learning how to be a decent person. But man, I do miss his presence in the story. His provocative and blunt nature was very interesting to watch play out over the series. It's too bad he never got to become the Charizard he was meant to be.

Shippidge has come such a long way and this series is outstanding! Episode 10 was incredible and the graphics and the way things were made. It was definitely worth waiting a couple of years to see episode 10. I can’t wait to see the two final episodes of this series. Even though it’ll take a long time it is all worth it in the end!

The weedles are sooo pure. Like perfectly voiced and their arc fits their timid yet misplacenly confident personalities. There's just something so perfect about how they were done.

Geez I hadn't realized how short these episodes used to be. Also 1:14:15 Turtwig voicing what literally everyone is thinking. Well. I have a few questions, but that was the first one.
The others being why does Squirtle look so old if at the end when he evolves he looks young again. Why was Mewtwo, one of the most powerful pokemon, so certain that Missingno would end the world if clearly 10 years later a bunch of caterpie did that way harder than it did. Especially since humans appear to be extinct now. Anyway, excited to see him meet Dialga and Arceus and whatnot and go back in time to save...well, a lot of people. Was honestly surprised by the sudden protag shift.

Squirtle has bags under his eyes as a way to symbolize he’s depressed and tired, he looks young again when he evolves because he’s figured things out 2. Mewtwo was probably just under a lot of pressure to get the Missingno situation under control, we all overthink things when we’re stressed. Also, the caterpies didn’t end the world, they just destroyed some parts of Kanto in the war. And humans very likely aren’t extinct, they’re just off screen because the protags are in areas that don’t have human society

This is some serious extremely well written story, i wouldn't be surprised if they're actual professional writers. not to mention the smooth animations and epic voice acting.
this was so funny, up until episode 7 i was laughing. the twist in episode 9 was heartbreaking, honestly! i hope something good happens in the next two episodes.
Predictions: 1. Most likely Squirtle(Wartaurtle) will find the Pokémon gods and have them reverse time so he can save Charmander. 2. Charmander returns as a ghost type Pokémon(which was referenced in Episode 8). 3. Mewtwo will appear, angered by the fact that the starters never came to him all those years ago and will play a vital part in the next episode. 4. Episode 12 will probably end with each starter in their final evolved forms and live happily ever after.
Since episode 10 was telling Squirtles story in the sinnoh region, and Shipp has confirmed that episode 11 will show mainly Bulbasaur, the end of the series is likely going to include Charmander in some way. And since episode 10 was in a different region, episode 11 and 12 may also show different regions! Looking forward to episode 11!

Originally, it was just a skit, and ep2 was a sequel skit. Ep3 is when I decided to continue it as a story. Around episode 5/6 is when I planned out the ending and all the plot leading up to it. So far, no major changes to what I set up in like 2015/16.

This is a masterpiece. Squirtles arc from standing up to Charmander, completely submitting himself to Caterpie, trying to replace his friends and ultimately defying destiny itself and proving that you always have a choice and that the only one in charge of your actions is yourself. He let go of the past and now is going to seek bloody retribution against the gods.
Seeing Bulbasaur refer to Dirtle as his “best friend” for a brief moment makes me think episode 11 might be about Bulbasaur and Dirtle teaming up to find Charmander as a gastly or something

Shippidge has come such a long way and this series is outstanding! Episode 10 was incredible and the graphics and the way things were made. It was definitely worth waiting a couple of years to see episode 10. I can’t wait to see the two final episodes of this series. Even though it’ll take a long time it is all worth it in the end!

Well. I have a few questions, but that was the first one.
The others being why does Squirtle look so old if at the end when he evolves he looks young again.
Why was Mewtwo, one of the most powerful pokemon, so certain that Missingno would end the world if clearly 10 years later a bunch of caterpie did that way harder than it did. Especially since humans appear to be extinct now.
Anyway, excited to see him meet Dialga and Arceus and whatnot and go back in time to save...well, a lot of people. Was honestly surprised by the sudden protag shift.

1. Squirtle has bags under his eyes as a way to symbolize he’s depressed and tired, he looks young again when he evolves because he’s figured things out
2. Mewtwo was probably just under a lot of pressure to get the Missingno situation under control, we all overthink things when we’re stressed. Also, the caterpies didn’t end the world, they just destroyed some parts of Kanto in the war. And humans very likely aren’t extinct, they’re just off screen because the protags are in areas that don’t have human society

Since episode 10 was telling Squirtles story in the sinnoh region, and Shipp has confirmed that episode 11 will show mainly Bulbasaur, the end of the series is likely going to include Charmander in some way. And since episode 10 was in a different region, episode 11 and 12 may also show different regions!

Technically episode 9 is nearly totally focused on Charmander. So episode 12 could be the reunion between them, somehow.

Originally, it was just a skit, and ep2 was a sequel skit. Ep3 is when I decided to continue it as a story. Around episode 5/6 is when I planned out the ending and all the plot leading up to it. So far, no major changes to what I set up in like 2015/16.
