With a 1.5 hour runtime, I can now confidently state that Starter Squad is more than half complete. Two episodes to go.

(if a Poké Ball is broken before a Pokémon is sent out, then that particular Pokémon cannot be used until their Poké Ball has been repaired) it means it won't do any harm to that Pokemon.

Following this series on all this years it's just incredible. I will always remember of it as a part of my childhood. Like, when I was 7 or 8 years old the series started and I saw the first episode. A Kinda weird... but very, very good childhood.

I get at the end of the day, Squirtle's conflict with where his agreeable nature lead him, as well as how to become an effective leader is far more interesting then Charmander finally learning how to be a decent person. But man, I do miss his presence in the story. His provocative and blunt nature was very interesting to watch play out over the series. It's too bad he never got to become the Charizard he was meant to be.

The way that one of the best written series of all time came from what seemed like a one-off skit blows my mind. The way the most recent episodes gets my blood pumping is something that no other piece of media is able to elicit from me. Could not be more hyped for the final two episodes, I know they're going to be amazing.
Idk, to me the writing leaves a lot to be desired. It's an enjoyable series to be sure, but calling it the "best written series of all time" is extremely hyperbolic. Killing off Charmander before the MissingNo/Mewtwo plotline was finished was an extremely stupid mistake and makes the whole series feel incomplete and disjointed.
With Charmander dead, he'll never be able to take responsibility for the mess he created when he trapped Hitmonchan in the other dimension. Now, Mewtwo will be waiting in Cerulean Cave forever for a Charmander who isn't coming. This doesn't make sense. Plus, in no scenario could I ever think that a Caterpie was capable of killing a Charmander, even one weakened by a Squirtle. Caterpies don't have hands. They can't pick up sharpened objects and stab another Pokemon with it. The worst a Caterpie can do, even to a defenseless Pokemon, is tackle or bite it until it faints, or spin string around it to slow it down. That's it.
So, yeah, there was some pretty poor writing in this series.

Shippidge has come such a long way and this series is outstanding! Episode 10 was incredible and the graphics and the way things were made. It was definitely worth waiting a couple of years to see episode 10. I can’t wait to see the two final episodes of this series. Even though it’ll take a long time it is all worth it in the end!

I calculated what the three starters levels would be after episode 9 with standard game-logic and Charmander ended up level 25,(He would have become a Charmeleon after defeating the Hitmonchan 16:40) Squirtle level 18,(He would evolve into Wartortle after helping Charmander kill the forest king 23:30 Also i didn’t count Squirtles training with the Caterpies but if you want to i added 10 levels to all the Caterpies who trained together so Squirtle would be level 28 with that logic) and Bulbasaur level 15. Here are some interesting things I had to do!
First and foremost anytime the crew encountered a wild encounter i looked in game where these pokemon appeared and at what level and went off of that
Also, anytime Char kills a human i counted it as a Hitmonchan at lvl 1
I counted Char as being with his OT but both Squirtle and Bulbasaur are caught and then released so i gave them boosted experience when they are classified as someones pokemon
Also I wanted the leader Caterpie to always stay a bit ahead of the other ones so i had him always be three levels ahead of whatever the caterpies nearby were.
The first pokemon that is kinda hard to tell what level it is is the Hitmonchan, although he says in the first encounter “I’m almost level 35” So i put him at level 34.
I’m guessing Gaven trained up Bulbasaur a bit so im giving him four extra levels
When Char burned down a mart, I looked in Cerulean Mart (that's the closest one i think) and counted how many people were in there and guessing no one survived.
The Caterpies train under a long period of the story so any Caterpie i think would have participated in that training is getting a plus 10 levels
For the Butterfree trainer i just took his pokemons wild encounter levels plus 10 like the Caterpies
i literally watched this rewatched this series 5 times for possibly 6 years , if this was a movie it would be my favorite. Love the humor and patiently waiting for the next episode

When a fan creates a product better than the official ones, it’s weird, and this series is an example of a fan creating a series about Pokémon talking and doing cool stuff being 1 trillion times better than any official Pokémon product, including my favourite one, detective pikachu, even that movie can’t even compete with starter squad
From “Come on kid, pick me. I breathe fire.” to “What are you going to say? Something.” I’ve known about this series for a long time, and I finally decided to watch everything so far. This series is INCREDIBLE and I look forward to episode 11! I know it’ll be a while, but hang in there. You got this :)

Originally, it was just a skit, and ep2 was a sequel skit. Ep3 is when I decided to continue it as a story. Around episode 5/6 is when I planned out the ending and all the plot leading up to it. So far, no major changes to what I set up in like 2015/16.

Before I start my rant, I just want to say that I REALLY like this series (at least up until they kill Charmander). It was really funny and had some nice character development. Your work is crazy good and I could never hope to come close to creating something like this. I really respect how hard you guys worked on this series. I will now begin my rant. I HATE how they treated the last episode with Charmander storming the base and the progression of episode 10. They treat Charmander like this evil villain lizard. The only truly "bad" thing he's done is break the "rules" of turn-based combat. But given episode 10 and how Squirtle reaches the same conclusion, they seem to kind of write this off. "Charmander killed the main Caterpie's brother". Yeah...for XP and food, like ya know...the Pidgeotto? Who has definitely been doing it for longer, since he's a Pidgeotto, but we don't see the Caterpie creating this villain legend for him. Nope, just Charmander, cause he killed that specific Caterpie's brother. Then during the break-in episode, he gives EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM an option to surrender and give him back Squirtle. They respond by attacking him as an army, so, of course, HE DEFENDS HIMSELF. Then Squirtle comes in all high-and-mighty "you killed so many innocents". Like bro, THEY ATTACKED AND TRIED TO KILL HIM FIRST. Charmander even referred to Squirtle as one of his only friends that he would do anything to get back in a previous episode, and Squirtle just repeatedly blasts him with water and doesn't even try and stop the Caterpie from killing Charmander. Then after ALL the bloodshed that Caterpie makes him do, he just lets him release him and waddle away? What about all of Charmander's character development that Squirtle doesn't get to fucking see? What about the Mewtwo-Cerulean Cave plot line that just gets swept under the rug? I will admit, I did not see their comment saying that the series is more than half complete and that their working on the next episode. So it is entirely possible that they planned all of this and are going to have Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus find some way to "reset" the timeline or something. If that is the case, then kudos Shippiddge, ya fucking played me like a mainline Pokemon game. Checkmate, I got BAITED HARD.

@@princeassim8353 You're right, but we later see he's willing to kill butterfree for food as well. Looking back, I don't actually think he killed Pablo for food, just for XP, but my point is that other pokemon in the universe do the same thing, but there's no "cult of killing that guy" for others, just for Charmander. I just think considering how Squirtle treats him in the last episode, it annoyed me is all.
Again, huge respect for the writers, I couldn't do something like this, just something I noticed that bugged me is all.

This is a masterpiece. Squirtles arc from standing up to Charmander, completely submitting himself to Caterpie, trying to replace his friends and ultimately defying destiny itself and proving that you always have a choice and that the only one in charge of your actions is yourself. He let go of the past and now is going to seek bloody retribution against the gods.
Charmander has always been my favorite Pokémon but this makes me love him even more

I feel like for the 11th Wartortle will fight many precarious foes. I'm hoping for
Pokemon like Garchomp or Spiritomb or Mamoswine. The list goes on and on really. Basically
I want the 11th to be a test of Wartortle's strength as he takes it out on them when confronted.
*My number 1 hope though is for Baulbasaur and Charmander to return*
