'Meant To Be' Performed by Self Proclaimed Rockstar, Johnny Austin, Live at Fusion Fest! 11.2.2024

I was invited to run show/run sound at Christina's Holiday Kickoff Party on The Fusion Stage the first of this month, so I brought all my gear, literally all of it, including my wife's one of a kind "Danelectro, Sunburst, Hollow Body, Longhorn Bass! I've been playing bass most my life, my family band, The Arrleys, that I started with my brother, cousin and best friend in Jr High, needed a bass player, not another guitar player, so I switched to bass like Paul McCartney & Brian Wilson! In doing so I opened up a whole new instrument to write music with. I wrote this song with bass chords and released it on one of my solo albums, but I never performed it live before, so I took this opportunity to share it as part of my solo set during the show. I'm pleased with the result, and I"m sharing it now for posterity. I hope you'll have good things to say, but I'm open to all feedback!
