Great video thanks. I struggled lining up all the holes, so good advice keeping everything loose until the very end. There was a question on bolt size. The bolts are M8-1.25x20mm. And like you said taking a 12mm wrench.
Thanks for the tips removing these skid plates, mine was missing quite a few bolts and only had zip tires( SMH).... Needless to say, I found replacements too... Great video!!
I noticed that oil will drip on the front skid when changing the filter. And after getting the powder coating done its easier to remove them than clean them.
Great video! Do you know what size those bolts are? Also, were you able to find the OEM bolts or did you just go with ones that matched? If OEM, where did you get them from?
Thank you, the stock bolts are 12mm. The only bolts I could get was from my local auto parts store was a 13mm. You can get the stock bolts from the dealership but they are very expensive. The bolts from the auto parts store are exactly the same except the bolt head size. I got my replacement bolts from Napa.

I can see why bolts are missing because these skid plates have to be removed to do the oil change.
@@BadWrenchAuto I have never taken mine off to do an oil change.

I would have to talk to Toyota about that one. I don't know if they have a specific name for that part or if it's just a cross brace.
Your opinion, can I just leave skid plate off ?
You can, but it will not protect your frame and engine off-road. I will also affect fuel mileage because it will add wind drag will out them on.
