This channel is about giving you the knowledge on automotive repair. Automotive repair has given me so much frustration and also rewards. Two people have been my mentors but after 30 years it is time for me to pass on my knowledge. I have learned a lot about UA-cam and looking to keep expanding my skills on video and audio editing. I am working to create my best work so far for this new season. I am looking to keep pushing forward for new content and projects. This channel has had a few stars and I am not one of them. We have seen a few characters come and go. From the start I knew the cast would change and that each step has given us a chance to learn new things. We say Goodbye to: Crimson Hemi (08 Dodge Ram), The Black Peal (15 KIA Soul Plus), Red Sled (02 Saturn SC1 5 speed) & The 2wd TANK (02 GMC Sierra)

Will you make another video when you get the correct parts?
@@Aimhigh-sl4js yes
Actually thats false..there are emissions
You’re a g
30 minutes talking? Thanks God I can see before wasting so much time. OMG.
My 15 f150 is worse than my 03 sierra which is a dbw
@austinpotts35 the newer the vehicle, the worse it gets. This is why we are seeing more 4 cylinder turbos. But this is making a whole new set of problems.
Question I'm having what if you only have one factory key and the key fob has been broke off and discarded. How can you program it without a diagnostic scanner? The owner says she has a key for the door but doesn't start the truck. Wouldn't door key be the same cut as the ignition? And couldn't I use it? Even though it's not programed? I thought of buying simple key kit or a scanner but if I can do it without the expense it would be nice.
Man I wish my 2001 tacoma looks that clean on the under carriage. Ivr been taking it on thw dirt road quite a bit lately and needs to wash the under carriage.
Thanks for sharing! What seal did you use on the top edge?
Painted a toothpick black, pushed "A" button down, wedged in toothpick at each back corner, broke off flush does the trick. They also make a bypass wiring harness for like $100.00, but I like simple and cheap better.
Alll wrong
120k no issues
Didn't got the chance to watch your live, i was building my civic it was running fine im planning to put 20 camlobes because my stock is only 16
Mission accomplished! There are thousands of EV's rotting in scrap yards due to battery failure! And thousands more unsold vehicles in The Big Three storage that are all electric because nobody wants to buy that bull crap! Sadly the government is still making them make these though and I'm pretty sure only half the current car companies in the world are going to survive the next 20 years...
Don’t buy I got a 2022 in the shop 31k miles and on the 3 battery pack and 2 alternator
Did you hook the hose back up before driving?
EV high speed rail across the country? Absolutely! Let's do that! Full EV vehicles? NO! Hybrids, sure. Full EVs? Simply not practical for most people.
That's your opinion..thats the dealer job
How did you get the latch mechanism out without removing the window glass track
Unbolt the window track and move it out of the way. It doesn't need to come out.
I’m still trying to fix my Chevy hood gap
Sounds like you have a bent hook hinge. Compare them to new ones or good ones from a junk yard.
I’m still trying to fix my Chevy hood gap for some reason my hood at the back sticks up and I can stick my fingers between the hood while it’s closed
Thanks for the tips! There’s no oil coming out of mine, can I just replace the pulley?
At that time that I did that repair, just the pulley was not available. So I changed the whole bracket. This part is very important to keep the belt tight, so if you are having trouble with it. I would replace the bracket, shock and pulley as one unit.
what if I just have one original key
@@raulmarin8704 this is the MAIN question everyone is asking. I’m asking it too. NO ANSWER. Hello???? WENONLY HAVE ONE KEY
That’s what warranties are for. No issues with my 2019 that I bought new and it’s under warranty until 100,000 miles or until 2027
WOW! research much ?
Did you know a 1500 Denali only weigh 600lbs more than a Tesla? Did you know if more cars had this technology there would be a significant drop in car accidents and in turn lower insurance premiums and traffic related deaths? Now you do. I’m commenting not because I own any of these I drive a manual transmission car with zero tech in it. If you’re gonna try and argue against something make sure you make valid points. Hope this helps.
If it is an older car that is misfiring or not running right, having watched a lot of repair videos there are a lot of things that can be wrong. Replacing timing belt/chain usually is not the issue other than stretch or slips, injectors, coils, plugs, fuel delivery, many engine mechanical issues, bad sensors, non-OEM parts.
I left the inner fender on mine. Took out my old one. Very easy
Why I a chain hanging under the bed of spare tire
I just replaced one on my extra cab. That thing was so hard to open with I almost broke my door handle. It's amazing that not only will the door open so much easier, now when I close the door it doesn't sound like you're hitting two pieces of metal together.
Ours cracked in 3 months lol fk these things
@@neon697 the quality has gotten really bad for the last few years.
good video, lots of extra talk, could have cut that in 1/4 and still had all relevant info
I just did mine didn’t need to remove grill or lights at all.😮
Reallyyy Late Comment, But I'm Just Now Having a Problem and I Hope You See This Comment. I Have a 97 Sr5, It wont unlock on the drivers side. The key will juss move it halfway then when you pull a handle it jerks it back down. I can't open the door inside or outside because it's basically still locked. I was finally able to get it enough to open the door and have to leave it unlocked or im fucked again lol. My question is, will a latch for a 98 fit a 97? Ones for the 97 are discontinued and goodluck finding a wrecked one lol. Its power locks. Please Help haha i'm about to pull my hair out.
@MyChemicalRemix sounds like the rods got bent. If you know where they are bent, you can bend it back. Or buy new rods.
@@BadWrenchAuto Appreciate the Reply. I've had trouble with this in the past and i was able to confirm that a 98 tacoma latch assembly will fit a 97. I think for 35 dollars, i'll just replace the whole thing and be done with it. I knew it was coming at somepoint lol. It made it 27 years though. Thank you for your video and info.
I had to emergency stop the wifes kia soul 2021 just the other day. I couldn't believe how quickly that thing stopped!! Are those brake rotors easy-ish to change? I've not even done a pad slap on my yet and it's at about 36k miles.
They just mention after the mass air flow sensor, nothing else.
the biggest deal I worry about with doing a brake job is to be sure that the calipers are not rusted to the point the pads cannot move. I delivered mail in my own vehicle for years, rotors last a long time, so do calipers. 600 plus stops per day, never took to a shop.
Really appreciate the video, just half the video didn't pertain to setting the clock. Would maybe recommend cutting that down to keep views rolling on your videos. Thanks again
what if i just hit with a beefy impact driver
Cool
If you look up the life of a Denali its 100-150k. After that it needs overhauling. Thats usually around when they start leaking
Simple… Don’t buy a Ford truck. Never Ford.
Do I actually have to have two stock keys or can I do it with only one I just bought a '08 Dodge Ram 1500 It only came with one key I'm scared I'm going to lock my keys in the car I'm trying to get another key The dealership gave me a ridiculous price can I program it with only one key
What about 6 cylinder
If the customer comes in wanting a ‘pad slap’ or ‘rotor swap’ only, we will do it but NO guarantees. If it vibrates, squeaks, or has poor brake performance that’s on them. It’s a waste of time trying to lathe modern Chinese rotors. The min spec is 2mm under the actual thickness brand new. How do you bed new pads to old rotors? That doesn’t work. You sacrifice brake performance big time and screw a set of pads that when the rotors are glazed and it’s time to change, you can’t use the pads you just put on.
Hey, what about the oil dip stick? There's a bracket under the manifold that make it really hard to get the dip stick out....what did you do to work around that braket?
@davidlepore4552 I dropped the headers in from above the valve covers. It was not too bad because they are shorty headers.
drive til the the Fins show on the rotor
Lots if wasted time!
I had wrecked my truck from the driver side head into concrete barricade Idk if something is wrong with the frame or what we fixed what we had to and when we install the fenders is like they not aligning right and it won’t reach the corner bracket 19:15 is where you was tightening that part and fender I got the fenders from a bubble eye Chevy
@Lsx.6a6y it sounds like they're is frame damage. This could be a bigger issue that might affect vehicle alignment. I would have a body shop check the frame.
WHAT??? Lmao this is not true, you’re 1/2 correct
Don't forget you can get a brake caliper rebuild kit for quite cheap, theirs no need to replace the whole caliper.
No need to replace unless you can’t get the piston(s) out. Most stores around me anyway haven’t kept them in stock in so long and a whole caliper is usually $20-$50 with no core. You can still order them though. Put front brakes on my truck few weeks ago. Came with rotors so why not. Weren’t bad but I have known the rotors were grooved for a while now, very grooved. So I did them. Found one side had sticky caliper slide pins so cleaned those up and stops the same but new rotors don’t shake yet when braking.
@@308dad8 some times the bleed screw won't seal some times the mount threads get stripped out things like that I rebuild them but it is not fast and I usually have to order the bits on line so, you're not doing it the same day that you find out they are frozen or have an issue. be careful when you blow out the pistons. You can break a finger or the caliper if you're not careful.
