Professional clubs have set piece coaches these days. That should be a specific role and specific staff attribute, where the quality of your set piece coach impacts the quality and efficiency of your set pieces. It's actually surprising this hasn't been implemented yet given their commitment to simulating football accurately.
Lmao exactly. Imagine telling a 16 yo CB kid with 10 tackling "Sorry, we can't have u train tackling, we don't know how to do that. But keep training your position and u may get good at it!"
I would love to see "Full player cost" that includes every single penny you have spent for that player - transfer fee, agent fee, wages so when you go to sell your player, you can know if you are really making a profit on the wonder kid you bought 5 seasons ago.
I made the suggestion on the official forum for the FM22 and it was noted as seen and closed by a moderator. Hopefully they will include it in FM23 in some form.
I'll speak as a developer. First, your suggestions sound really, really good. Normally, when users complain about something, they just say "this is not working, fix it". While you actually provide nice solutions. Second, and most important - if you really want those stuff fixed, and do not do it just for the content, make those videos early. Maybe at the beginning of the summer. Dev teams are usually very busy, and even if they find your feedback useful, it will be hard to implement and fix all those(if any). Time is just not enough in most cases.
I agree with the set pieces which has been infuriating for as long as I can remember. I think that if the suggestions made were implemented we would have something with a long term net positive for quality control which likely would not need changing for years.
You're absolutely spot on about set pieces. Also, I hope they fix short corners, it's so frustrating when half of the times they just pass back to an obvious offside... Practically unusable.
Set pieces needs to be overhauled imo. Would love having it linked to mentality. I don't need 6 players in the opposition box when I have the lead in the 90th minute and am actually holding out for the win. Too many times I get hit on the counter because I forgot to change the set piece routines when trying to go all out defend in the last minutes of the game.
Agreed. I would like to see system based not on a position but attributes. Kinda like Zealand said: put top 3 best heading guys in these positions, top 3 fastest here etc. I would also add a possibility to make 4-5 different set pieces into a rotation: first use this one, than on the next corner this one, than another one etc.
that's your fault though, you should do that by yourself. if you really want to win you will play the match engine proactively not just sit there hoping for the best 😂
i'd love for my youth/b/II teams to have some kind of "always use your damn subs before the X minute" type of stuff. also "play dude A then dude B" or "only play dudes xyz in wbl". because i am the bossman i can tell them irl so there is no loss of immersion.
I would add to that "Play player X on his natural position". Recently I have really narrow B team and U18s squads, so my managers tend to fit 2nd GK as a right back eg. just to make a 18 player squad🤦♂️ Why not just fit whomever you can into their natural positions and fill up rest with greyed out ones 🙄
@@Robi2009 Also I don't know if it was because my under 19s manager is poor etc but I watched one of my under 19s get a knock early on and he just played him on for another hour until he got tired! Take the poor lad off, it's fine!
You are absolutely right about second/B team development i.e. the German leagues. If my second team gets to the 3. Liga, they should at least be developing and using first team training facilities or at least allow me to upgrade second team facilities. It's frustrating trying to have an internal pipeline from u19 to II team to first team if they're not actually getting better unless I loan them out. Tactical familiarity doesn't even get better with them
I'd personally love incentives for getting a better manager contract for myself. Usually I don't care what contract the chairman offers me. Even if its cosmetics or something, or even unlockable features that make certain things better/easier.
I would also love to have some kind of influence on the boards expectations Even the smallest changes seem to be rejected Especially if I've been a consistently impressive coach for years I'd like some bargaining power
On the "Offering to Clubs" thing, if I take an otherwise content £40m valued player and offer him out for £100m just to see if anyone bites, he shouldn't get angry with me about his asking price at all. He isn't trying to leave anyway so why should he care about a hypothetical price tag? It's like the £100m price tag on Declan Rice - everyone knows he's not actually worth that but he's also not trying to force a move so he doesn't really care at the moment.
I've found your channels very recently Zeeland and I have found all your videos immensely useful and entertaining. Thank you for helping to feed my addiction
Football Manager became Director of Football. I wish they went all the way as a mode and allowed my to play as one, including hiring top managers for the first team
Set pieces and international management were two of my biggest gripes the last time I played this game - which was FM20. Nice to know its still an issue today!
Me too. And the scouts. I spend hours to set all of it with my 20 scouts just to realise 2 seasons later, it was totally useless cause i still have to find the players manually...
It really sucks that no matter what happens I will buy the new game but this year has to be a huge year for Football Manager, feel like the past couple years there's been a lack of huge updates and one of the huge updates (Dynamic Youth Ratings) was a lie which is honestly a scandal when you really think about it. There is a huge amount of changes that can be made to the game and it would be really disappointing if we don't see huge changes. I think we've outgrown the tactics page, there has to be more development in that area of the game, more specific instructions or even give us the ability to set up how our team wants to press as I genuinely think just telling your team we want to have a high line of engagement is quite vague and sometimes it's hard to achieve the specific purpose you want your teams press to be. Why does every Premier League club have so much money? Owner personalities need to be added, maybe that's a licensing issue but would be great if we could have clubs like Liverpool not have 100M to spend every season as that would be quite realistic, not every owner gives their team a 100M transfer budget. Graphics are horrendous, have been for a long time, it's a simulator game, doesn't feel much like a simulator when the graphics are horrendous. F1 Manager really raised the bar in that aspect and has made me want to see that in FM23. Set-Pieces, yes to everything Zealand has said, 100% spot on. National team management, it's the year of the World Cup what better year is there to completely rework how international team management works? Can we get another full explanation on how dynamic youth ratings work? How staff works needs to be reworked too as there's no evidence that having more sports scientists/physiotherapists equals to less injuries and a lower length of injury. There's been simulations done by Reddit users that show it genuinely doesn't have an impact. Staff need to be smarter, as in my DoF needs to actually have skills in negotiating contracts, would be cool if I could actually delegate a lot of stuff without being worried the delegation will cause havoc in my team because my DoF decides to give a back up player a ridiculous contract
Agreed with most items. One thing I’d add is that while consumers believed dynamic youth ratings was a big sell for us, it actually wasn’t a large ‘feature’ from SI.. it probably should have been if they are in touch with their customers and could have been implemented better.
I have had every version ever, going back to 93. I'm in the same boat. Been watching some CM 01/02 streamers lately. The days of being able to blast through seasons in hours. Less reaslistic but more fun.
Budgets for clubs are based on the clubs income, it’s not just if the owner gives the club money. If Liverpool make enough in a year to set there transfer budget to 100+ million then they should have every right to spend it, that has nothing to do with the owner
Liverpool has like a 26 million transfer budget. Total funds are much higher, but that's accurate. FSG has the money it just doesn't all get spent quick.
I pretty much agree with everything you suggested. I'd like to see the following changes. We can train tackling on individual training. FFP to only show CURRENT rather than projected as 99.9% the projected is bollocks. The board to allow you to choose what affiliate club to go with at all times if you've been with the club for 5 years or more. Better stadiums but that's more an unrealistic suggestion Better regen faces but again same as above. (Newgan saved my life) When you send players out on loan, if you select them to play as striker and they play mostly as striker, they shouldn't be able to come to you and complain. General better interface. I feel the game now there's far too much clicking for me to get to where I need to go. It's not just the training screen where this is an issue. Scouting priorities pisses me off as well. I should be able to select 20 players and say to my scouts "scout these 20 first before anyone else". There's probably loads more but that'll do for now. Quite ridiculous with all the issues I'm in the year 2109 ffs.
*Reuse the main tactics screen for set pieces* ...but change the Role / Duty *Open Play Tactic (Defender Centre)* - Roles: [CD, L, BPD, NCB, WCB] - Duties: [Defend, Stopper, Cover] *Defend Corner Tactic (Near Post)* - Roles: [Tall, Small, General] - Duties: [Shoot, Flick-On, Poach, Cut-back] ...there may even be interesting things you could do around instructions (types of run, etc). Best of all, if it worked the same way as the main tactics screen [Quick Pick] should put (generally) the right people in the right roles. And it could fire automatically every time you make a sub.
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO MILES AND HIS TEAM, I AM VERY VERY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT NATIONAL TEAM MANAGEMENTS. right now I'm managing Indonesia and try to make it qualified for the next world cup but its really weird to not have control about training, morale and all other stuff that usually available when managing clubs
I absolutely hate the "ask the agent about availability" because it gives you options, but it doesn't matter which you pick it's always the same outcome. Also, sometimes the agent will set the price between 1 and 15 million that makes no sense. I feel like if you say you're disappointed with the asking price in some cases the agent should throw you a bone and lower the demands a bit. Not always the same generic "I have to admit I'm disappointed"
i would like to see a player hall of fame to add to the existing manager hall of fame, could be cool to see how your regens rank amongst the best players of all time in terms of ballon d'ors, league titles, goals, assists etc.
I would LOVE to see a fix to the finance system. I dont want to keep guessing how much an upgrade will cost or how much money I need in order to turn pro or get another coaching license etc! Just tell me "Youth Facilities upgrade will cost X amount. Do you want to go through with it?" or SOMETHING like that! ID LOVE IT!
I'm subscribed to your channel, but I see a lot of youtubers and you are the best person to actually make a very good way to hit that subscribe button. Props to you. And you are also a very good manager and know a lot of things. Just want to give you the praise I think you deserve. Keep up the good work. Hope they listen to the feedback, they need to do changes to a lot of things. Have a good day Zealand. 👌
Ze is super informative, funny and most of all I believe he could be a world class commentator, I freaking love his tone of voice and when he fools around and announces goals and missed chances…. Deserves many more subs … cheers
Those are all things that should be corrected, but doing this kind of requests less than one month off the launching is not realistic :) at this moment the game is done, the last touches and bugs... Unfortunately I don't think we will see those changes
I found a workaound for the asking price thing. I set the asking price that the agent says is cool. I confirm, but don't leave the screen. I then adjust the price again (up or down) and see what he says to it. This time it will be correct, and I have not since seen one player complain about it afterwards.
My humble guess: none of them will change and there will be no fundamental change at all. It seems they mainly focused on console to have more players in and got some licences because for console you cannot install the facepack and other stuff.
I mean from the update they give so far, the biggest update is just having uefa competitions license. There havent been any actual big update since fm20 and this year they lied to us about dynamic youth ratings which is supposed to be the big update lol
@@bkak2245 i love FM to the death but this is so true. this year they really need to fix some shit. the last 2 years were pretty disappointing and im not gonna pre order or buy it until i know that they actually fix their stuff. i dont want licenses, i need bugfixes and actual features
Probably that's why the best thing to do is what a lot of players (myself included) will do, and that's it to buy it once, wait a couple of years, and buy it again. Since most of the times, they don't improve it too much from year to year to make it notorious.
Particularly relevant to international management, we need to be given the option to toggle what leagues/competitions are included in the Last 5 Matches. Some guy who’s averaging 9.5 isn’t necessarily going to warrant a call up if it turns out he’s just been up against U19s
For me communication with players can always be improved, the are so many times when I wish I could have discussed something with a player without it becoming a full blown row. Learning the "correct" responses from your videos has helped though tbf
The National Teams one is so important tho! If as a club manager i can ask my board for better facilities, how come if I'm a NT manager and I'm successful, I can't ask the same?
This set piece "creator" is the same as in FM16 when they added it to the game including the same bugs as in FM16 + a lot of new bugs. And they also removed probably the best thing - the possibility to have different takers for different routines when you have loaded more than one. The only way how I can save some time while editing the set pieces, again and again, is that I have squad selection held in combination with a saved tactic to rotate it and it ensured that set pieces are alright and players don't change their positions. Or they don't disappear from the pitch.
The demise of scouting is such a bummer to me. I personally always found the most enjoyment in that area and the redundancy of the scouting network has killed a lot of my enthusiasm for the game. Lots of awesome suggestions here but I fear given how little has been done in recent years that FM23 will be more of the same with the standard UI tweaks.
Most of these issues and potential improvements can be summarised by saying this: make the game less opaque. This year especially the game has been harder to understand than ever before. Tell us why things happen and what you can do to avoid or get those things done. Why does a player get angry? What could I say that would convince him to stop being mad at me? What are the best options? Why does a club wants to buy my player? How far can I ask them to pay before they leave? And so on and so forth. Causation and effect. In certain situations real life is easier than Football Manager because we usually know or can fairly accurately guess what causes what
The training intensity should be set automatically according to physio's advise (as priority choice) AND the personal setting (if no advise from the physio). Right now, we need to click "adjust to physio's advise everyday.
A small glitch that makes me super mad is how German II teams work. Unlike normal reserve teramsw, you can't ask for increases in the amount of staff that work for them
To get a B team in playables right now, you need to edit them, set their rep to max, save scum around the dates and then let them pop in. So frustrating and it feels wrong but it's a load of fun to get there. Luckily, most B teams from Belgium top flight are now in playable leagues! Looking forward to my beloved Standard Liege!
Regards scouting - have an option like player attribute masking at the start of the game where you have all players in the game visible. Like they used to be on older cm's. Setting up scouts is boring. I want the option to have all players in the database I select searchable by any team if I choose. Also, a get rid of Brext/wp rules option.
Actually googled that b team issue, an answer was the reputation of players, I just threw in as many high reputed old players that I could to get them promoted after a season of doing so. Knowing how or when that is enough would be really valuable though.
To get your B team to a playable league is easy with the editor but unfortunately that's the only way I've found. It seems that clubs get promoted at random but a big weighting is given to the dice roll based on team reputation. If you edit your B team reputation to 99999999 etc then they will most likely get promoted. You can then bring it back down after they get to a playable league. HOWEVER, it is very important to ensure that you are responsible for handling contract negotiations for the B team. If you don't, then during the summer when the leagues update your players could be offered crazy contracts. One star guys on 250k a week because the game thinks you have the reputation to justify that. It can cripple your finances. So that's something to watch
They also need to sort out staff. When you try and sign new staff you have to compare individual members to find your weakest. Why can't they just add the stats (which are there) so you can easily compare existing to potential. Not just potential against each other
On the subject of improving reserves/B teams, I've always wanted more financial detail on a lot of things but one of those is the cost of running those teams. Like, the game asks you each year if you want to keep the team going, it'd be nice if it said "This will cost X but you will get approximately Y revenue from it" so you can make a call if it's worth it. Like Brentford cutting all their youth teams. Maybe it's in the balance sheets or forecasts or whatever but I've never anything concrete on it. Just would be nice to be able to make that call of, hey this reserve team is gonna cost you 10m a year, but I'm in the Prem so that's no biggy. But if those teams are costing you a million and you're in League One? So long reserves! I know finances are broken and eventually something will come along to save you (Hello Keverton) but to me I'd rather keep some air of realism and try and work within budgets.
Love the vids Zealand.Agree withe every point you made,i'd also like U15's being added to the game.Would be fun developing someone from such young ages like (12-14) to a senior team legend!
I would like more control over individual player instructions, such as target a specific player when running or dribbling allowing you to exploit carded or weaker defensive players. I would also like use of the dark arts like wind up a certain player or give them a little dig or rough treatment. More set piece freedom as many have said, more in depth financial and general club and transfers. Sports psychologists, and more control over club philosophies and youth football
I would add better nation building to this list. I play in Sweden have won the Champions League like 5 times in 10 years, have some of the best players in the world. Yet other teams still think my players are only worth £10m max. Don't even get me started on dynamic youth ratings or television rights.
I've suggested before, but I'd like to see an overhaul of the Reputation system. It's too abstract at the moment. Have it be linked to personality and media handling style. Introduce a commercial element too, so players can become more obviously distracted by social media and press coverage if their personality is set a certain way.
All very good. The cynic in me is saying that FM has already reached out to yourself an a few others ta tell ya whats coming, just cause that’s 4 vids I’ve watched (about what so an so wants from new fm) an yas are all basically saying the exact same. “Best time now to make international management better” Etc etc
its cause they all hashed out what they dislike in the network game, i assumed everyone realized that console and uefa license is everything in the game this year. This is really lobbying for 2025. I assumed 2024 will have the womens game as the only addition.
The transfer reason thing is great, kind of how MLB The Show does the Trade Block screen, whereby they show you what positions a team's looking to fill so you know what to offer them for one of their guys. Something similar could be done in FM to understand how desperate the other team is for your player and what you could get out of them.
A simple want of mine. If you take over a new club you can clear individual trainings to default. So often I come in and that screen is a mess. Being able to default this would be a super easy fix.
We should have the option to choose an attacking formation and a defensive formation. It would give us much more "freedom" when we are making our own tactics, and putting players exactly where we want to.
They had this for the vast majority of FM's history. Initially using With/Without ball screens, then using Arrows from their current position. I liked both systems better than the current one. E.g. Wide-centre-backs was announced almost like a feature!! But you could do it easily in the past
Player valuation should be less dependent on league reputation, and more dependent on club/player reputation. It's ridiculous that a player isn't worth anything because they play in a low top-10 reputation league, if said club has worldwide reputations and makes deep Champions League runs, including winning the entire thing. Regarding B-teams and youth leagues, I agree. Another thing I'd like on that point is being able to set priority. I've had some of my best U19 players put on the B-team for a friendly I didn't want them to play, because the U19 league is more important to me. But the game decides to pick them out of my U19 team for some reason. Had my U19's lose a UEFA Youth League quarterfinal, because the game found it more important to have them play some B-team friendly the previous day.
I would love to see dynamic league finances/competition money. I'm not saying you should get UK level TV money while playing in Gibraltar, but it would be nice that as leagues improve or decrease in reputation their prize money can go up or down.
The main thing they should fix is the tactics screen. Tactics are the most basic element of the game but in FM they are almost irrelevant with the most counterintuitive system imaginable. Coming up with your own tactic is impossible unless you are using an asymmetrical set-up which shouldn't be obligatory. Each of the three phases of play should have a separate tactical setup, separate set of instructions and even separate roles for the players to fully and accurately simulate how football is played.
I'll be honest, the asking price, agent and player split, and the way the clubs can come in for a single offer and then bugger off never to be seen again if you over reach on a negotiation are pretty much the sole reasons I didn't buy the game. I'll be dilligently watching Zealand's FM23 games to see if the transfer system has been sorted out before I think of getting the game as I refuse to struggle selling players when the struggles are nothing to do with my own mistakes/
Auto training schedules . Save your schedules so they get to be used automatically . 2 matches per week etc . Also pick tram by stats . Average rating passign accuracy .
What frustrates me most, probably, about match engine is goalkeepers kicking the ball long towards their striker always seems to go over my defenders. They always misjudge the flight of the ball, and their striker is through on goal. I've tried adjusting the height of defensive line, and it didn't help matters. Granted, I never dropped it below standard, and I never will, but if my defender is looking at the ball and anticipating it... I don't think it's a defensive line being higher is the issue.
And DO SOMETHING about my own team's deep set pieces. Not the ones on the opposition half, but the ones on my half. The amount of times I have seen one of throw in takers throw the ball long and then giving the ball to the opposition is mindboggling. And it has been like this for years. This year, I started noticing that free kicks deep on my own half will be taken by a CB, who then proceeds to kick the ball straight to an opposing striker who then scores an easy goal. It almost made me throw my PC out the window the second time it happened in the same season.
The changes to national team management would be excellent every save I start the end goal is winning the world cup I usually dominate with a few clubs to get there first.
On scouting - Ajax have something close to 400 scouts in Brazil and close to 800 South America wide. Of course I wouldn’t want an inbox filled with reports from all of these scouts that would be tiring but FM must start to emulate these detail levels the game has been stagnant for a little while. Similar regarding transfers there need to be an awful lot more pressure from board/agent and players regarding their moves, is it fair if a player refuses to play while they try and force a move? No. But it is real. Make a move SI
I would like official support to be a Director of Football with a manager under you. Results have less impact on your job security but club finances and transfers are more important. You can moan at your manager to play players the same way we can currently moaned about our loan players that don't get played enough. Name change works be nice too.
The problem is, we should make this videos when a game is out already, for example, this FM 23 needs to fix should be out like 1 week after FM 2022 is out.. because obviously they wont have time to 'fix this' , so if the set pieces are the same , you should just rename this video to FM24! Love the game still tho, and love your channel Zealand :D
When the game allows free positioning of players in tactics and not fixed positioning then it's a football manager game, until then it just forces you to put the players where they want.
Low key wish they got in touch with the NCAA and got a college soccer where you recruit players out of academies, it is essentially the USA's U-18s and U-21s. It'd probably get more people to do a US save
other thing is the formation defending and the formation attacking. in the channel taticamente he says that. his team suffers on 1x1 on counters because of that. if the game has this option like fifa and pes. yes this games already have that... the life was more easy than change manualy on every attack and defending phase.
I need fm to fix players conversation.. when players are tired, fatigued or have high matchload they still want to play every match..and if I don't select them in first 11.. they want me to make a promise..why can't I just tell in player conversation section that you are tired and I'm not going to select you.. Secondly we need training trill assigned to specific players to increase match sharpness eg subs or reserve players
For me, the game is near-perfect in the ME area, at least for FM21 (I haven't played FM22 yet) I've discovered quite a few resolution to almost all the questions out there. However, the pressing needs a bit more specificity or rather player diligence (I think the ability teamwork probably fixes the diligence because of its definition in the game). Like the cover shadow. Granted, I have no idea how well it works in FM22 but FM 21, I was able to create the cover shadow using "show onto" on the pressed player while positionally marking the player to be covered. From my discovery, there's a couple more things involved though. It works but I need more to reflect the specificity of real life. The thing about a club not coming back for the same player you rejected a bid for could be their transfer budget. At least in FM 21 that's what happens. If their balance is way smaller than what you're demanding or the players value, after the first rejection, they don't try again.
in fm22 every team averages 90% pass completion rate including non league teams and every team passes 10x better than Barcelona in their prime so to say the ME is 'near-perfect' is hilarious. its garbage and represents real football in no way whatsoever
re: training praise button i wish was an easier mod script solution, if there not gonna put it in the game. Also just move players around with the same instructions on set pieces. If people break stuff with set peices, i'm not that bothered, i just wish i had the ability to cross to a specific player like i can for set peices.
In a Wrexham save where I’ve dominated the premier league for a decade I find it hard to develop u23 players at the club because the u23s haven’t been invited to anything like PL2 still so I have to loans out about 20 players a season so they can actually develop, my u23s are still playing friendlies all year against teams in the 8th tier and below
I play FM Xbox-version-whatever-it-is-called-just-bring-back-touch-to-PC as I don't have the time to play the full game, but I'd like to see the backroom staff just a touch more padded out - so many players retire and usually end up as a head of youth development and it's weird. Also players asking for a certain amount in wages from you to sign for anybody else for a fraction is really frustrating.
Even though the Free-Kicks are completely bugged it won't get fixed but Miles would continue to say that rather than fix this they would rather keep adding more stuff that "looks good on twitter" but suffers from the very same bug
In my Apollon Smyrnis save (Greek league) a club with no b team when I try to loan players to clubs from 2nd and 3rd division, It says that I cant loan players to clubs that are on the same division as the b team.
1.I'd like to see a Marketing/promotions department, you could hire someone brilliant to over see it, the higher their marketing/promotional skills, the more impact on gameday revenue, concessions, jersey sales, and club reputation. If you don't want to delegate you can get involved all the way down to the quality of food and set the prices (shite Burger, cheap beer or caviar and Dom) mascot no mascot, amentities around the stadium. Set a budget and they can help you to recoup costs and gain revenue. If this doesnt interest you, just like training or scouting you can delegate and forget about. I think it would be more realistic if you at least cared about the fan experience. 2. I'd like to see the Attribute- Experience, even the best wonderkids that didnt have a high score of it , would get overwhelmed in big games make bad passes, play poorly or lose stars for road play until they adjusted to the lifestyle. Grizzled veterans with high experience pass more and dribble less as their physical attributes diminish. Just a thought. 3. Your personal contract should have some weight to it, if drop your salary to 25K, then your reputation and stars rating should take a dive, however if you command a huge salary, that should reflect in your stars and whether players want to come play for you. It could also effect how the media treat you as well as other coaches or getting loans from other clubs.
We need a tackling training set , a bravery/aggression/work rate training set that should be improved with better tactical/mental coach attributes in order to transform a player playing style like Conceição and Klopp do a bunch of times, we should have more fluid set pieces and tactics with more complexed options, the history of a player shouldn’t just be the performance in the league should be the performance in the clube throughout the whole season, and the most important thing at this point better graphs and stadiums please.
The set piece thing is needed but my question is….how realistic is it? How often do you see Liverpool put VVD and Matip on the near post and jus get Trent to ping balls in there. I feel that though set pieces need revamped in terms of UI I think they also need a major revamp in the match engine. It’s not right that because you have a 6,8 defender with 13+ heading that you are guaranteed 8 goals per season if you stick him at the near post.
"Assistant manager organises set pieces" should be an option in responsibilities by now
Yeah especially since often used irl
Professional clubs have set piece coaches these days. That should be a specific role and specific staff attribute, where the quality of your set piece coach impacts the quality and efficiency of your set pieces. It's actually surprising this hasn't been implemented yet given their commitment to simulating football accurately.
Or a set-piece coach
Or just a new staff member that is specialized in it
There should be set piece coaches too
they need to add an individual training routine for tackling, its stupid that we dont have that. they added one for heading but not for tackling
Lmao exactly. Imagine telling a 16 yo CB kid with 10 tackling "Sorry, we can't have u train tackling, we don't know how to do that. But keep training your position and u may get good at it!"
"Well, I guess my CB will never outgrow his 9 tackling issues"
I think the idea is that you can't practise tackling on your own.
Fr
Not sure… you would need to have a corresp being tackled
I would love to see "Full player cost" that includes every single penny you have spent for that player - transfer fee, agent fee, wages so when you go to sell your player, you can know if you are really making a profit on the wonder kid you bought 5 seasons ago.
Holy shit that would be so cool
I made the suggestion on the official forum for the FM22 and it was noted as seen and closed by a moderator. Hopefully they will include it in FM23 in some form.
I am loving the "Zealand is being held in an undisclosed location" vibe of these videos as you get settled
Time is just not enough in most cases.
which games do you develop if i may ask
these complaints have been made for years everywhere let's not pretend they care lol
He has been saying this all year and the complaints have been made last year also
I agree with the set pieces which has been infuriating for as long as I can remember. I think that if the suggestions made were implemented we would have something with a long term net positive for quality control which likely would not need changing for years.
the issue is SI is kinda a cult, they don't like being told they got something wrong
You're absolutely spot on about set pieces. Also, I hope they fix short corners, it's so frustrating when half of the times they just pass back to an obvious offside... Practically unusable.
Every.Fcing.Time. In lower leagues its even worse. 90% of my corners ended offside in German Division 3...
They should expand on match plans, so you should be able to have match plans for different scenarios that then have different set pieces built in.
that's your fault though, you should do that by yourself. if you really want to win you will play the match engine proactively not just sit there hoping for the best 😂
i'd love for my youth/b/II teams to have some kind of "always use your damn subs before the X minute" type of stuff. also "play dude A then dude B" or "only play dudes xyz in wbl". because i am the bossman i can tell them irl so there is no loss of immersion.
Also would like to add that you can start off at a clubs u19 etc as that’s where most managers start, would be fun to do and more realistic
I would also love to have some kind of influence on the boards expectations
Even the smallest changes seem to be rejected
Especially if I've been a consistently impressive coach for years I'd like some bargaining power
Isnt the added bonus of a better (more money and longer) contract, that it is more difficult to get sacked?
On the "Offering to Clubs" thing, if I take an otherwise content £40m valued player and offer him out for £100m just to see if anyone bites, he shouldn't get angry with me about his asking price at all. He isn't trying to leave anyway so why should he care about a hypothetical price tag? It's like the £100m price tag on Declan Rice - everyone knows he's not actually worth that but he's also not trying to force a move so he doesn't really care at the moment.
should be more like the opposite that the player feels honored by the high Value
I've found your channels very recently Zeeland and I have found all your videos immensely useful and entertaining. Thank you for helping to feed my addiction
Welcome to the community, sorry it took you so long 😁
Football Manager became Director of Football.
I thought budgets were based on actual real world budgets? 😅🤷🏽♂️
Better stadiums but that's more an unrealistic suggestion
Better regen faces but again same as above. (Newgan saved my life)
When you send players out on loan, if you select them to play as striker and they play mostly as striker, they shouldn't be able to come to you and complain.
Ah dang it, that subscribe was so sneaky, that i actually subscribed a channel for once after being asked. well played sir. well played
*Reuse the main tactics screen for set pieces*
...but change the Role / Duty
*Open Play Tactic (Defender Centre)*
- Roles: [CD, L, BPD, NCB, WCB]
- Duties: [Defend, Stopper, Cover]
*Defend Corner Tactic (Near Post)*
- Roles: [Tall, Small, General]
- Duties: [Shoot, Flick-On, Poach, Cut-back]
...there may even be interesting things you could do around instructions (types of run, etc).
Well done by editor and animator once again! Also, thanks Zealand for the narration. 🤣
i am suprised you didn't mention player and media interaction it also needs full overhaul
"I feel like I need to start more matches" dude that started 10 out of 11 matches
Or even better. An option to turn them off.
ID LOVE IT!
Yeah I asked to expand my stadium and I'm shocked that it costs 50m for just 8000 more seats.
@@justImagineIJ Couldn't agree more, love Zealand i really mean that. ❤
Gonna try this
My humble guess: none of them will change and there will be no fundamental change at all.
There's no competition and hasn't been for decades. That's never a good thing.
100% agree on the international management side - any options that make building up minnow nations viable will get a thumbs up from me 👍
This set piece "creator" is the same as in FM16 when they added it to the game including the same bugs as in FM16 + a lot of new bugs.
That whole transfer part was excellent, all class ideas.
Would love them to add some optional background music/menu music and some noises when clicking on things
Hi Zealand. I'm 29 and I watch all your videos.
Regards scouting - have an option like player attribute masking at the start of the game where you have all players in the game visible. Like they used to be on older cm's. Setting up scouts is boring. I want the option to have all players in the database I select searchable by any team if I choose. Also, a get rid of Brext/wp rules option.
I first played FM11. The free kick routine becoming a corner routine near the corner and leaving the back post open was a thing back then too.
5:40 is where the video starts
Actually googled that b team issue, an answer was the reputation of players, I just threw in as many high reputed old players that I could to get them promoted after a season of doing so. Knowing how or when that is enough would be really valuable though.
Congratz on 100k on Twitch! 💜
If you spam click the rewind in the beginning you get a dope intro soundtrack. Kinda like Yu-Gi-Oh. Dududududuu duel.
Lanky John is a great player, a must-buy in every save
They also need to sort out staff. When you try and sign new staff you have to compare individual members to find your weakest. Why can't they just add the stats (which are there) so you can easily compare existing to potential. Not just potential against each other
Staff never seem to improve either. Badges should have big effects on stats.
7:40 a solution to this would be praise a mentory group or position group/training unit. a happy medium
“Best time now to make international management better”
Etc etc
its cause they all hashed out what they dislike in the network game, i assumed everyone realized that console and uefa license is everything in the game this year.
Setting up academies in other countries to bring players through your youth development would be good.
Thanks you for this vid Zealand
San Marino League needs to be added
Surprised you never mentioned Club World Cup, that competition is so broken this year
Yep. It’s better to “throw it” so you can save on injuries.
BRO! You are the best FM UA-camr! 💪🏽💯 Maybe, someday, in the near future, you can make a FM Mobile video? 🤔😅
I really wish you were able to "scout" for sponsors and negotiate those deals. would be great in lower league to be able to get some money :)
Got those Tifo Football animations goin on, nice
Auto training schedules . Save your schedules so they get to be used automatically . 2 matches per week etc . Also pick tram by stats . Average rating passign accuracy .
"Then this random midfielder that is tall"
"Lanky John"
I dont know why, but that line hit me different.
I hope it wont be all about meta tactics: gegenpress, tica-taca, high pressure.
Absolutely on the global praising the team training and B teams to evolve topic.
The one bug i hated the most is you can get offside taking a corner.
Zealand makes a video with very good points
Sports Interactive : " I'll just type it up on my invisible typewriter"
Mass "praise training" would be so useful.
Low key wish they got in touch with the NCAA and got a college soccer where you recruit players out of academies, it is essentially the USA's U-18s and U-21s. It'd probably get more people to do a US save
the throw in when your lone strikers comes and receives the ball short while being explicitly asked to stay forward drives me insane.
My only hope they could fix/offer more of camera angels especially for corner 😌
other thing is the formation defending and the formation attacking. in the channel taticamente he says that. his team suffers on 1x1 on counters because of that. if the game has this option like fifa and pes. yes this games already have that... the life was more easy than change manualy on every attack and defending phase.
@@DRx6 like I said I haven't played FM 22. Read again.
re: training praise button i wish was an easier mod script solution, if there not gonna put it in the game.
Chairman mode please. I've been hoping for this for the best part of 20 years!
amazing idea
