the problems with fortnite fps drops will only stop untill they add the option to precache games shaders, every single game since 2014 has that but fortnite in 2024 doesnt. 😎😎
I'm actually having massive stutter issues this season on DX11 and Performance Mode, but when I change to DX12, I get little to no stutters at all, but at the cost of lower FPS and input delay. I get like 30 - 60FPS, blurry graphics and have very noticeable input delay, when I open the map and move my cursor, there's like 500ms - 1s delay and it's really annoying, especially when I'm fighting someone with no input delay at all. DX11 and Performance Mode: Very much unplayable, I freeze and stutter every 1 - 5 sec, it's like I'm playing on PowerPoint. DX12: Playable, but have insane input delay and the game looks blurry and low quality.
If you want good green tree and see through storm do, 150% brightness, user interface contrast 1.12x , color blind mode tritanope and color blind strength 10
I was actually impressed that they resetted my dx11 settings which I have definetely changed before as recommended... They just messed up everything with this update. I feel like changing those dx11 settings helped a lot but this fps drops still persist. Its 1ms when fps drop from 360 (consistantly) to 7 or some... Thanks anyways :) Im sure this guide will help all your new followers
You can leave the fps on unlimited if you have the nvidia reflex low latency on on + boost. Love the content I watch all of your videos and became better because of them, keep up the good work!
Hi Jerian. About Forever Zone Wars: why did they change the points system? It was perfect before, points for time and kills, and loss of points when you die, perfect. The way it is now is a mess, and there is no incentive for players to try to stay alive longer, so everyone just goes all in all the time.
'Disable fullscreen optimization' works the best imo. I cap my fps at 165 because my monitor is 165hz but my cable only allows 144hz and I was dropping from 165 to 30 but disabling the 'Full-Screen optimization' solved my issue
Epic says View distance has no baring on the fps of the game. Its only there so your able to tell what something is on the ground like a gun from further distance. We tested that and FPS showed no changes same for latency. Lower end pcs might benifit but most dont run low end pcs anymore.
Thanks for this video but @itsJerian I just got a brand-new acer nitro v16 and it seems like I am not able to access the display settings in NVIDIA after updating all the drivers and a whole lot. I am launching my game on 30fps How do I fix it?
I'm having a problem that when I enter on a match, it automatically changes my resolution back to native, I use 1200x900 on fullscreen, I don't know why it keeps switching back to native 16:9
@izvy Just figured out, fullscreen stretched seems bugged, change your desktop resolution to your desired res, and use Windowed Fullscreen / Borderless in game, it seems the only way to keep the res.
game mode should actually be off or on depending on whether you're on windows 10 or 11. Generally it's good to keep it on if you're on win11, but off if you're on win10
for the Nvidia control panel stuff (GPU settings), it won't have a huge effect on fps drops those are 99% of the time CPU-bound frame spikes so idk if you don't quite understand what you're saying or if you're lying straight up about that. I've got so much love for you Jerian but leave the explanations to those who understand and stop spreading misinformation. even on max settings at 2k (1440p), it uses about 12 gb of VRAM meaning unless you are playing on max settings and resolution optimizing your GPU won't have a massive increase in fps or a massive decrease in frame times (input delay) I very well might be wrong seeing as I have a background in computing graphics and not general gaming/performance do let me know if I'm talking out of my ass. for example, I play dx12 high settings at 2k and I've optimized my CPU usage and background processes and I don't get any frame drops (I have a 12600k and a 4060ti which I would consider a pretty poverty spec build) and still get 360 stable with no drops below 320.
mind you if you have a GPU with less than 6gb of VRAM you will see massive spikes since the max cache will be roughly half of your VRAM leading it to dip into your system memory (ram) basically halting your game until it can load and then re- cache the next set of visual processes.
i cant lie, i basically have to use dx11 for my low end pc, performance mode is really slow and buggy on my £300 pc, and it runs well with dx 11 anyways what im saying is that performance mode is for people who play on really good pcs or have a moderately good cpu, which i dont have
why is it that my windowed mode is 1680x1050 but my fullscreen is 1920x1050? ive done tried to fix this in usergame setting priorities but cant seem to fix it. i wanna be on my res on fullscreen.

We got jerian's Fps Boost Guide for 42069th time
He's going to keep doing this every season.
And it fire each time
Only here for the colorblind settings
42069 in the mighty November 2024 is crazy 😭🙏
Cause some people come back after not playing for a year so it's to update it every season
The fps drops in performance modes are insanse this season
I get 200 fps in dx12 and a stuttery 100 in performance mode😭
I’ve been looking for someone with the same issue whenever I use performance mode I get the worst lag spikes I can’t even get a kill
@@user-ns9fc ur most likely on amd, perf mode is shit on amd
@ Rtx 2070 super my processor is amd tho, ryzen 7 3700x

im pretty sure u need to higher ur graphics settings (put it to medium/high) in pm/dx11 its a complicated problem but worked for lot of ppl
U gotta be in preformance mode. Then cap it at 60fps. It stopped most of the stuttering but anything capped over 60fps is not gonna run well
I have not noticed any of this using dx12.
If you want good green tree and see through storm do, 150% brightness, user interface contrast 1.12x , color blind mode tritanope and color blind strength 10
interface contrast does nothing to your game except change the colour of ur stuff like settings screen

Papa jerian what’s the difference of low latency mode on and ultra on nvidoa control panel
yo jerian, how is your taskbar so dark and transparent? my taskbar is not that dark and transparent, do you use a 3rd party app or something? thanks.

Thanks again jerian!
you should do a video on nvidia color settings
lets go big boy thanks for the tips
OMG BRO UR THE BEST THANKS U SO MUCHH

can u show nvidia settings on windows 11 in the future also, cuz i have a lot of extra settings on there that u dont and the other way around also.

You should do a fortnite challenge with a different hue or just black and white.

im having a different issue normally i run a stable 360 but my fps won’t go past 70?? i have it set to unlimited
My goat
Idle energy saving is good yall should be using it because it only kicks performance when you’re afk
dx12 performs better than performance mode this season, idk why it just does 🦈
On AMD gpu use Dx12 on low, game runs way smoother.
My GeForce experience says something went wrong and to reboot my pc. I’ve rebooted my pc about 5 times and nothing worked.

Could you please show how the game looks like with digital vibrance on 65

12:58 but what about using a custim crosshair? I heard Crosshair X is only available to use in Fortnite with Windowed Fullscreen 😮
yo Jerian i actually have the same water bottle u have i saw it in the boltz vs cam video😄

also one thing that might help is verifying your game files
Jerian do most of these settings apply to amd?

finally a video
I don't know if it is because I'm on windows 11 but when disabling full screen optimizations, compatibility doesn't show up
I actually found with this new season that I have to use dx11 instead of perf mode otherwise I literally can't play the game, even in creative
game mode should actually be off or on depending on whether you're on windows 10 or 11. Generally it's good to keep it on if you're on win11, but off if you're on win10
It's not depends on the Windows. It depends on the game. Some games may benefit and some don't. 🤷🏻♀️🥴
UA-cam recommended me this in 1 minute
made all the changes he suggested and now my game has hella frame drops
THANK YOUUUUUUUU
jerian how do i get streched res fortnite removed it with chatper 2 remix
change your display on settings to your res and change the in game settings to windowed full screen
