Please don't take any notice of criticism from ignorant people; it is very obvious you are doing the best you can ;the amount of time and trouble you go to is amazing.
I’ve actually never seen any criticism on this channel- not in any of the comments here today . It’s one of the most positive channels with positive followers on UA-cam!
Morgan at Gold Shaw farm is having trouble hatching his goslings too, almost at the same time frame as your Pigeon looks to have got to. You sure are helping them propagate, doing everything.
Providing fresh cuttings and downy feathers will help. I watched birds take dog fur (post brushing) and spider webs for nesting materials. Master builders.
It is heart breaking that the baby didn't make it. Like you said three times is the charm. Now comes the watch to see if another egg is laid! Brooke you did a great job building the new platform. Now it is up the the pigeons to do their thing!! We pray for a baby now🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Brooke, you need to ignore people who leave criticism . They are just ignorant. It's a shame about the pigeon egg 🥚 I really was praying it would hatch this time. ❤❤
Yes shade cloth would be great. I made a comment about that but deleted it because I jumped the gun and did not watch all the video. Shoot me now. Love ya'll and love my time with you each day.
Awe, poor things and poor lil chick.. it's was trying to grow. If it's God's will, I have high hopes that will happen because everything I've read about them, it's super hard in captivity. I think you're gonna see it happen Brooke❤
Disappointing VC pigeon egg outcome for you all Brooke… stay positive as I’m sure a successful outcome will happen. Please continue to share their journey with us, good or bad… that’s life! Sending positive vibes your way. Thanks for another great video. 🙂
While you build some shade what you might want to do is take a empty plastic gallon milk jug and cut it out to make a shelter for a camera and mount it so the bottom is the back of it.
Sorry that you and us will not see a baby yet. I can’t see with all those hard sticks that any egg would not be damaged, and those big birds sitting on them. Well they are the ones doing it but maybe they never saw how couples made a nest. Good luck 🍀 for them and you ❤.
So sorry to you and the parents. I’m wondering if the egg didn’t accidentally roll out of the nest, even though they continued to sit, maybe they knew and did it on purpose. 😢🤷♀️💔
Brooke, please consider incubating the next egg? Also, do you think they may be genetically too similar? Maybe brother and sister? Does that even matter in the pigeon world?
All pigeons have a reputation for not building the best nests, we find their eggs all the time that have slipped out,or fell through the bottom or not using enough sticks. One never knows,I doubt it had anything to do with what you’ve done. You have taken such good care of them. I wonder if you could hold of an expert that raises them for any inside information.
Its nature. Thanks for showing th nesting, the laying, even the egg contents. Third time is the charm..hopefully. But regsddless Its ineresting to know their nesting behaivors anx laying attemptd. Just laying an egg in captivity is an accomplishment. Theyve madd progress with each attempt so Im syre it will happen. Please jeep xhoeing us the journey however ong.
I know Brooke and Jason are more disappointed than we are. The sturdy platform was a brilliant idea! Kudos to Bonus Mom Brooke! Since the 2 VCPs observed Brooke and Jason installing their new 'birthing room platform' hopefully they will learn the Smith's version of Teamwork and the next egg will be viable.
Good morning all. Sorry for the Victorian pigeons. I would put a shade cloth over the next to protect them from the sun. Hope next time will be the one and have a baby Victorian pigeon.
Your viewers, including me, are already involved in the life-story about these Victorian Crown Pigeons. Please continue to report on these birds. If you don’t, it would be like tearing out the last few chapters of a good novel that you already have begun to read. I’d like you to reconsider your decision.
❤yes, please let us be a part of the next chapter ❤😊❤ of the Victorian Crown Pigeons. Unless it was too exhausting for you to share. Then we want you to take care of our Brooke. ❤
You tried your best Brooke and thank you taking us along. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the egg - it was great seeing the inside of this egg. We are here to share in your joys and in your sadness because we are here for you Jason and MC. God bless you as you continue to take care of His creation. His Peace
Thank you for always being positive and sharing with us. Nature will let them have the baby when it’s time and we will all be here for it. Love y’all. Be good ❤
Brooke Jason and Mary Carl, we all know you always do your best for the animals in your care, sad but I am sure they will try again hun, just like nugget and goldie will! And we will be there with you when it happens! Best to you all xxx
At least you know the egg was furtile. So sorry it didn't mature. When is their normal time nesting in the wild. Early spring or later? They may not want to try again this late. would shade cloth over it help?
Look at you go girl. Cuttin’ it up. Bummer about the egg. Maybe they are still learning about being parents. Maybe they kicked the egg out knowing it wasn’t gonna make it? Have a blessed day. Glad you are feeling better!❤️🤍💙❣️🤍💙
From all I've heard and read, VC pigeons often have a hard time figuring out parenting. Sometimes it takes several years for them to successfully hatch an egg and then a couple of years after that to actually raise a chick to maturity. I'm kind of surprised the egg developed as far as it did. I guess what I'm trying to say is ya'll are doing just fine. Don't get discouraged. They will figure it out.
Brooke, sorry about the Victorian Crown pigeon egg. Hopefully they will consider the new nesting box you built as a 'five star resort' for their next baby! ❤😊
Please don't take any notice of criticism from ignorant people; it is very obvious you are doing the best you can ;the amount of time and trouble you go to is amazing.
Agreed, Lord, didn’t anyone ever tell them if you can’t say anything nice don’t say it? I’m sure Brooke is devastated 🙏🏻🩵
Very well said. Amen.
Agreed
I don’t think there will be a problem if it’s not the last one. It doesn’t matter Brooke, your birds, your farm. God bless.
Thank you both so much, inviting us into your beautiful home and family. 😊
Aww...we're getting closer to a baby. Maybe the 3rd time is the charm❤
So sorry the baby didn't hatch... love you all so much! Continued prayers! God bless ❤
Poor Victorian Crown couple, they tried.
Providing fresh cuttings and downy feathers will help. I watched birds take dog fur (post brushing) and spider webs for nesting materials. Master builders.
I can feel your disappointment! You are so amazing and nurturing! Big hearts break easily.
Even though it's sad thank you for sharing the bird story with us!!
😀💝Y'all are so kind & good!
Well, maybe next time , sorry, we won't be able to see them anymore, but whatever you think best, Brooke, I love the new box, much love from Ks ❤
It is heart breaking that the baby didn't make it. Like you said three times is the charm. Now comes the watch to see if another egg is laid! Brooke you did a great job building the new platform. Now it is up the the pigeons to do their thing!! We pray for a baby now🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Go, Mrs Cog!
Thanks for the update! I appreciate your honesty and forthrightness! I think the new nesting box is the ticket - third time's the charm!
Brooke, you need to ignore people who leave criticism . They are just ignorant. It's a shame about the pigeon egg 🥚 I really was praying it would hatch this time. ❤❤
I havnt given up Brook, I’m sure a lot of us have not given up! I would love to still be involved in the next laying
All the luck in the world on the Crown Victorian new nesting box !!! 👍👍👍 God Bless Always
Hope the new nesting box works for them to lay another egg. Good job Brooke and Jason.
We have to learn from our mistakes! Love and Light!
Your family brings so much joy in our life. You also show the good and bad on the farm. Your real!!!! We love you guys. !!!
Ya'll are a team to help the birds
Thanks for that update Brooke. I think you’ve got it this time - they’ll love their new sturdy nesting box. 🐨👍
I enjoy seeing the ongoing stories about the Victorian Crown pigeons, whatever happens. I’ve learned a lot I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
Yes shade cloth would be great. I made a comment about that but deleted it because I jumped the gun and did not watch all the video. Shoot me now. Love ya'll and love my time with you each day.
You made progress! You got further than last time.
New box looks great.
I love this plan 🙏 GOOD luck all 😅
Nice nesting box. I bet they will like having a shade cloth. Hopefully 🤞3rd time, the egg will hatch. ❤
I love peacocks 🦚 beautiful
3rd time is a charm for the VCP's. 🤞🙏💖
Sorry that the chick stopped developing, but hopefully they will try again in the new nest box. We know you do all you can for all your animals.
Awe, poor things and poor lil chick.. it's was trying to grow. If it's God's will, I have high hopes that will happen because everything I've read about them, it's super hard in captivity. I think you're gonna see it happen Brooke❤
❤ Thank You for Sharing this real-life situation!
God Bless
I'm so sorry. 💔I was so hopeful. Hopefully the 3rd time IS the charm!
Please report when they lay another egg. We are invested in their activity ❤
Disappointing VC pigeon egg outcome for you all Brooke… stay positive as I’m sure a successful outcome will happen. Please continue to share their journey with us, good or bad… that’s life! Sending positive vibes your way. Thanks for another great video. 🙂
Try to put a shade cloth over the nest when you get it built. That might help🤷♀️
No worries, they will get there in time.
Please relocate your Cameras so that you will know if it rolls out of the nest and what the progress is. If they lay another egg.
Nature just happens.❤
While you build some shade what you might want to do is take a empty plastic gallon milk jug and cut it out to make a shelter for a camera and mount it so the bottom is the back of it.
Love your Channel !!!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️
Sorry that you and us will not see a baby yet. I can’t see with all those hard sticks that any egg would not be damaged, and those big birds sitting on them. Well they are the ones doing it but maybe they never saw how couples made a nest. Good luck 🍀 for them and you ❤.
As the nest turns...and these are the days of their life 😢😮😢❤
Maybe a small piece of plywood over the top? Push the nest back a little…I’am getting paranoid about that egg falling out.😂
7:11 she got further than last time, so moving in the right direction.
Don't give up on the Victorian Crown Pigeons, they are still trying,
The nest looks just like those pics I've seen of the wild ones.
I love seeing Scott twerking! 😂
❤
I found an article that the San Antonio Zoo in Texas has had these birds for years. Maybe they can give advice as to nesting.
So sorry to you and the parents. I’m wondering if the egg didn’t accidentally roll out of the nest, even though they continued to sit, maybe they knew and did it on purpose. 😢🤷♀️💔
It’s smart how they knew not to keep sitting on the egg. Male emus will sit forever.
Momma and Papa may have known the egg was not viable and intentionally ejecyed it from the nest??? 🙏🙏🙏🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
It’s just what nature does, in their own time it will happen.
Brooke, please consider incubating the next egg? Also, do you think they may be genetically too similar? Maybe brother and sister? Does that even matter in the pigeon world?
Maybe because it was fully exposed to the sun….the shade may be better because of the heat…..maybe over heated. Don’t know

One never knows,I doubt it had anything to do with what you’ve done. You have taken such good care of them. I wonder if you could hold of an expert that raises them for any inside information.
That’s so sad do you think they will use the old nest after loosing two already
So sorry, it’s hard when they only lay one egg at a time.
Good morning Brooke🌄 Have you tried making freeze dried Dr. Pepper! Next time surprise us!!!!
Do you think it was damaged and they kicked it out of nest?
I would say they egg did not fall. I feel they pushed it out of the nest knowing it was not viable

Just like humans, sometimes things go wrong.
🙏🏻❤️
I think the pigeons didn't feel their chick moving and one of them tossed the egg.
Gosh I hate that happened, but I really think you have done everything humanly possible. Their not making this easy, are they?
😢❤❤❤❤❤😊
😮😢😢😢😢😢😢
Third time's the charm.
Maybe that mama bird knew that the egg wasn't going to survive, so she kicked it out
Brooke take down that Nest mybe thay well go in the one you Builded so sorry for the loss again 🙄😘
Don’t hesitate to report an egg. This is real life on a farm, good for educating people on that.
They may have pushed the egg out other day cause they already knew baby was gone
That's my thoughts....
❤❤Very encouraging that the egg was fertile! It will happen.
At least the egg was fertile, they will continue to try.😊
Hello Brooke, the baby didn't die from the fall. The baby died naturally, they know it and they kicked the egg out of the nest.
That totally makes sense.
Was thinking the same
Hey don't give up....keep showing the Crown Pigeons
That's sad, but it is their second egg. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.
Oh, so sad😢 But please keep showing everything that happens in the future… it’s very educational.
I know Brooke and Jason are more disappointed than we are. The sturdy platform was a brilliant idea! Kudos to Bonus Mom Brooke! Good morning Brooke, sorry about the Victorian crown pigeons. Blessings to Cog Hill and all the fur/feather babies.
Don’t give up, Brooke! I’m sure those two pigeons won’t give up.
3rd time is the charm, put a new dead tree in there.
I agree. Never give up, even if you’re birds in love.💖
Good morning all. Sorry for the Victorian pigeons. I would put a shade cloth over the next to protect them from the sun.
Hope next time will be the one and have a baby Victorian pigeon.

You tried your best Brooke

so sorry about the baby... BUT now you know they can have a baby... I think 3rd times a charm!! next one will be a success!!
I know you’re so disappointed. We are, too. But, please keep showing us. I so enjoy it! And, YES, the third time is the charm! 🙏🏻
Of course you should show us when another egg comes! I loved watching both times. We’re in this with you guys!
Aww I’m sorry, Brooke. ❤️
So sorry Brooke hopefully next time we will succeed.❤
So sad the egg didn't make it. I am so rooting for the Victorian crown birds to succeed. Thanks for helping them so much, Brooke

❤😊
Maybe the Victoria Crowne pigeons are just practicing? So sorry Brooke😔 Please always let us know when they sit Brooke 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Hi Brooke. The VC pigeons are learning. I’m sure that they will be proud pigeon parents soon. Keep up the good work and good care.
They may have known the baby died and kicked it out
I think so too
Agree
Possibly!
I agree.
I would agree with that! Nature is ingrained in the wildlife. So that is a very good possibility!
From all I've heard and read, VC pigeons often have a hard time figuring out parenting. Brooke, sorry about the Victorian Crown pigeon egg. Hopefully they will consider the new nesting box you built as a 'five star resort' for their next baby! ❤😊
So sad, but nature happens. You are doing everything you can. Thanks for keeping us updated, I hope you all have a great rest of the week.
