Wow, that first movement is really beautiful, the glassy-ness of it all is so accentuated with these quasi-hocketed lines. The mix from an audio perspective is very fun and gritty as well!
2nd movement is a delight with it's interesting tonality and rhythmic and contrapuntal vitality...in the background there is a trace of something Mendelssohnian. Lovely, imaginative and dynamic string quartet...bringing out what is best in quartet playing. Gorgeous harmonies in the final movement.

Questo livello musicale è stato fortemente superato anche dalla musica da film. La scrittura di certa musica è essenzialmente solo narcisistica. Ho almeno 5 allievi l'anno che scrivono cose più belle e interessanti.

I attended a intensive with Kian back in 2022, his counterpoint skills are absolutely ferocious! Great guy, and this piece is fantastic as well!

Man that first movement is just... something else. Probably one of the most beautiful pieces of contemporary classical music I've heard. Amazing.
