INSTALLING NEW SHOCKS & MOLDED CARPET | Peugeot 504 Restoration (Episode 8)

  • In this episode I replace the rear shock absorbers on the Peugeot 504 and I also begin working on refreshing the Pug's interior. Firstly I pulled out the gross 42 year old faded carpet and replaced it with some nice new black molded carpet.

    Just discovered your channel- great videos. Lots of memories of 504s from my childhood. My dad had a few - doing 40000 miles a year. Would love to get one and do some work on it.

    I have a steering wheel, but I am in South Africa. Interesting to see the differences between your car and the local once by us.

      There are quite a few differences I am from SA too. Had a 504 carburetor model just like this one in the 1990s. For instance the air filter was different. Wonderful cars though

      Lucky there is a guy locally who was a Peugeot repairer. He now sells from his home garage.

    How did the rear brakes turn into this shape?

      These are the standard rear disc brakes so not sure what you mean? They actually look the same as the front brakes.

      Hi mate. I found mine online. The first set i bought was wrong. I used Monroe through ebay maybe.
