I heard the Aston Martin CEO say once in an interview that he wanted his company to be the last in the world to offer manual transmissions. If he really means it then good on him for keeping the traditional driving experience alive.

Okay, seriously? Whoever is going around repeating other people's comments, please stop.
Edit: Still going at it, eh? What else can I say but "Welcome to the Internet".
This car has the perfect balance between elegance & aggression.
I love the way they designed the bonnet, but the front is nor quite my taste. It is to aggressive
Its like Mr. Darcy on four wheels.
Henry, camera man and Aston Martin, thank you. Brilliant film. Magnificent car.
its like Q reviewing the car he made for JB
gay
no u
LOL. He is like the more handsome version of Q. And the Vantage does a good job of carrying over from DB10
Who the hell is Q and JB?
@@Ray-bn7hr it’s been 2 years wow time flies. But JB is James Bond and you can search up Q from there.
Jeremy was sad ten years ago... and boy, the V12 is still alive. Pure brilliance.
@@Carfection Well, that's very fine by me. Long live the analog and long live the Carfection team! Great content, been here for a while, and I have to admit, I adore the way you guys treat the cars, feel them and respect their individualities. Cheers.
But we are unfortunately heading there, still... Slowly... A slow death...
I bought a V12 Vantage in 2010 on the back of that Clarkson video. Still have it, and it’s still brilliant.
@@joylightclub Future collector car for shure, and a timeless driving machine 👍
Also a touch of the same music Clarkson had in his video. Classy guys, Classy.
Another Henry masterclass. Keep up the narrative and raw emotions, my friend. Excellent video.
Shoutout to the crew involved too. Just brilliant.
Wow, that's much more eloquent than I could have said. Kudos Mr Henry and crew!!!
I feel like even Aston knows that the new Vantage doesn't even begin to come close to the old one.
The old one sounds better, looks better, and will age better.
I agree the old one is well nicer in every way
Wrong.
@john m Well if there's any car to take an engine from Merceses is the one as it's worked well for many other Super cars. Plus Aston makes it it's very own. -Also The Dodge Challenger Hellcat sits on an old Merceses E class chassis. And it works wonders.
Carfection I’m not so sure about that. The old Vantage was just pure class in terms of looks, in my opinion.
It’s not that the new vantage is bad, it’s a great car, it’s just that the old vantage was perfect.
Of all the cars I’ve owned, my V12 Vantage (Carbon Edition) is the one I wish I didn’t sell. Pure magic.
Thx Harry
Wow, have any pics? Sounds beautiful.
The old vantage is such a gorgeous body, I wish the new one is that beautiful
N/A V12 manual transmission 😍
And a hydraulic steering.
@@after_midnight9592 Perfection
edit: If you want ultimate perfection - McLaren F1, no powersteering + manual + n/a v12
@@r129r16pfl For one car, I'd still take the V12 vantage. It's a proper GT, meaning more class, luxury and comfort.
It's not a stripped-out attention seeker like the F1 or Zondas, but still analogue enough to let you do all the work, without annoying fanboys popping phones at you.
This is the one, the lottery winning first purchase
7:40 that reference to the 997, E90, and Zonda gave me goosebumps
Always loved the Vantage in all its guises. They just look so right.
This is Dream i have had since i was a boy setting eyes on, in the flesh, my first sighting of an Aston Martin Vantage, this is the car i always wanted, but sad that i will never own, some things have to remain a dream, but WOW ! what a dream, that exhaust sound haunts my dreams. Perfection. Thanks for sharing Henry.
How to make a stunningly brilliant vehicle even better, all your Christmas presents in one present. The style the quality the sound, all the best to the few who get to own or drive this excellent Aston.
Thank goodness there are people in the world with the resources to commission these cars so the rest of us can enjoy their beauty and sound. What a gorgeous machine 😊
Another fantastic video. Thank you Henry and the rest of the Carfection team.
Let's hope there are many great driving experiences ahead of us.
Henry Catchpole, Chris Harris, Jason Camissa ; probably the top three car reviewers on UA-cam, each with their own style.
Great video as well always!
This is always awesome, Henry! I think I’ll never ever get bored of your videos.
These are usually my favorite videos to watch, and this one doesn't disappoint!
stupendous editing, narration and display of the car.
I usually don't listen to everything in a UA-cam video and end up scrolling to the end. But this video had me hooked from the get-go. I listened to every word. The background score, narration, beautiful camera work and the on-point narrative all enhanced the the viewing pleasure so much.
Thank you for a beautiful upload.
up until now I was thinking that Aston's done a brilliant job tuning the new Vantage's exhaust..........but even that fades away in comparison to this V12 symphony........man it sounds utterly magnificent
Would take any manual V12 over the new one anyday
damn right, Testarossa vs anything automatic, come at me bruh..
$$$$$$$
Willy Lamb a used vantage v12 manual is cheaper than the new AMG powered vantage, they’re on autotrader in the UK from about £60k, bargain!
Although I would buy the V8, that V12 is really amazing!!!
Excellent Henry,it looks and sounds amazing.Great video made with knowledge and passion.
Outstanding on so many levels - there’s always been something VERY special about a big Aston and this is just wonderful - engaging, quirky, immersive and ridiculously pretty - the sheer look of joy on Henry’s face says it all! Keep them coming Henry! - you da man!👍👍👍
There is something about your films, you always manage to convey the feeling or soul of any given vehicle you may be reviewing. Between the beautiful settings, stunning videography, and hosts that know exactly what to say, Carfection is truly a dream team and every film a joy to watch. Long live Carfection
The quality.... THE QUALITY of each single video! Thank you, Carfection! Thank you!
Almost cried at the first part, realising it will end soon.
Absolutely stunning, and another terrific review Henry.
Excellent content, great description, and overall a well put together review. Thanks.
my name a jef
Absolutely lovely review! And the strong musical reverence to that well-known episode of TG is not to overhear.
I completely adore your films Henry, you’re one of the few journalists who portrays the romance/relationship between car and driver. It’s something so hard to quantify and yet you do it with ease. Can’t wait for your next!
Words cannot describe the elegance of the equipments used in this car. A wonderful car indeed.
Great video Henry, Ben. Beautiful images and sound of this fabulous car...
Thank you Henry. Another super review and a super car it is!
As always - great review and well put together. Henry. Well done
another fantastic video, guys! Keep up the great work.
I'm blown away both by this car and this outstanding review of it, I'm so glad that there are people like you guys still making these kinds of amazing videos that these cars deserve 🖤 Also, didn't think I'd like any other NA V12s as much as the ones in the F12 Berlinetta and 812 Superveloce, but boy is this one something, well deserving of such an elegant beast fo a car.
Exquisit. What more could you possibly want from a car. Just perfect!
Magnificent review and car. I owned the 4.7 L Vantage 8 and loved it every day
i cant hold my goosebumps for the whole video , well done!
Incredible car and production... keep them coming guys!
Henry Catchpole: LEGEND.
How u describe each car. It’s soul. It’s heartbeat. Only you can. You are like the William Shakespeare of motoring journalism. Everything you say is so exquisitely articulate and eloquent. I how your videos to my American kids and show them what English is all about. Thank you very much.
Ps. Oh I forgot. The car is EPIC. BEAUTIFUL. As a 2020 vantage amr owner. I can only dream on this one.
Meant

Thanks Aston Martin for understanding and remembering what real driving really is!
Henry you films are like a story of love and yearning for an old girlfriend, always leave you feeling warm inside.
Well done, Henry.
A jaw-dropping icon of the marque, very tastefully presented.
How refreshing not to have some loud-mouthed Clarkson wannabe forcing near loutish laughter upon us once every minute (or more)…
Thanks for your authenticity.
This proves that these types of cars wont ever die out. As long as there is demand. Even in the smallest of output. They will be made.
Superb video Henry and what an Aston 👌🏻
Take over Top Gear.
Just brilliant, Henry and team, just brilliant, bravo 👏🏻 just keep doing more stuff like this..👍🏻, and damn what a beautiful car..❤️
Wow what a car, truly amazing, can only imagine driving it. Great video 👍👍
I think that everyone who makes this content is doing a great job this is probably one of the best car reviews I've ever seen
5star Henry for this & that Car.... just brilliant
Absolutely brilliant. Car and video. Thank you.
Car, magnificent; film and review amazing! So many thank you's!
Awesome car and excellent review. IMO Henry is the best car reviewer out there.
This car writes poetry on every road it drives.
My feels have been hit, and that car made other feelings happen....
Love your reviews. What a video!
Gorgeous details on this AM!
the car after which you could have stoped automotive development ... No way, it could get possibly better one day!! Incredible video by the way !
They essentially did....all AMG now. I've had the pleasure of driving new Vantage and DB11. The specialness is gone.
Been looking forward to this since seeing your Instagram post!
These V8 and V12 Aston's have some of the best exhaust notes of any car ever.
Perfect. I would keep this forever. Absolutely motoring heaven.
Well done!
You‘re absolutely right with the watershed, named as Porsche 997, Zonda and so on!
Fantastic video, fantastic car!
These are simply the best car videos.
Great video. The format (focused, knowledgeable and mindful) is hopefully the future. Hooning, arrogant, humble-bragging hosts are who really should be fading into the sunset.
Another perfect discussion about analog motoring and its final breath
This is very touching moment, as such cars is not more producers.
Awesome video as always, well thought out and balanced opinions.
Henry and Chris Harris are pretty much the only car presenters that I will stick around for no matter what. I find myself clicking away early with most other people.
Best car ever built by Aston. Only one thing could make it better, an open Ferrari type gear change gate for that wonderful tactile feel that I miss so much in modern Ferraris.
Soooooo fancy! Excellent video!!
What an exquisitely designed car! And that Sound!
Thank you Henry!!!
Nothing beats the feeling of a v12
A blast! Insanely beautiful 😍
Anyone else hear Countach 5000qv at the end of the video? Very juicy sounds. Lovely video.
Great review and shots of this analogue beauty! Hopefully this won’t be the last of the analogue era.
Beautiful and interactive
To me the pinnacle of analogue cars was around 2005 with cars like the Porsche Carrera GT, Pagani Zonda F, Ford GT etc..
After that we have had a few examples (like the 997 GT3 RS 4.0), but I feel the Bugatti Veyron and (perhaps even more notably) the Nissan GT-R kinda marked the end of that era..
That's basically the same era that Henry is referring to? The 997 was 2004, V8 M3 was 2007, the F430 was 2005, and he says Pagani too. Not sure if you're disagreeing with him but it reads like you're saying "I disagree, to me the pinnacle was 2005" … which doesn't make any sense if that's what you're saying lol if not, then ignore me good sir
@@Maniacility I'm definitely not disagreeing. That comment was written kinda out of context before watching it entirely
Makes sense! You and Henry are both right though, what an era for cars!@@Ctrl952
I don't know what's it with Vantages and emotional tributes: first Clarkson, and now you! Magnificent review, lovely lovely lovely.
A masterclass from Aston Martin, A Masterclass from Carfection! well done
Super sick👍🎬🇬🇧excellent presentation 🤘
To me this is the perfect Aston. Thanks.
Beautiful car, but outdone by the glorious production and commentary from Henry!
Great point about the ‘analog’ nature of the car, increasingly more difficult to find. How analog is enough? I can imagine that few would be able to drive this car with control, smoothness and discipline; this much power and visceral feedback. You have a great level of skill on the road.
Good lord, that is a gorgeous car, sounds AMAZING!
Wonderful review.
Amazing work, as always. Now I've got to go back to the Analogue Supercar video, for the 13,000 time, just to watch him drive the Mclaren F1 whilst reviewing other motoring icons of the same ilk.
I really really like this generation of Vantage!! They are really cheap to get, absolutely beautiful and very easy to find in manual! Yet another dream car!
A beautiful car. Sounds great as well!
Watched it once, had some time to spare, watched it again: that's what the combination of Mr. Catchpole, Aston Martin and great music does to you.
What a car, love the details on it like the drilled bonnet. It's also nice to see a UA-cam motoring film that doesn't start with 'Hi guys it's.....'
One of the nicest supercar I have ever seen
My new favourite super car. Absolutely stunning.
Every car should have analog Aston Martin dials, especially the new Aston Martins.
That is an amazing well designed interior.
