Why would anyone buy any console now over a PC with almost ever major release now available digitally. Hell you can even stream Playstation games to the PC. Maybe you can make an argument for the Switch because its such a different animal but I wouldn't waste any money on a console right now.

Yeah, imagine where they'd be had they not backtracked on the DRM stuff. Think about how bad the pre-order numbers must have been for them to prep for weeks for their messaging around the issue at E3, only for them to immediately reverse it like a week later.

The J Allard cameo bit was so great. He was really cool and an inspiring ambassador for the Xbox. His E3 conferences back in the day got me so excited for the future; Allard & the 360 itself even looked futuristic with the multi-tonal grey colour scheme. Microsoft is so disappointing now - where's the focus on nurturing exclusives, and the relationships with first-party developers?

Yes, with Xbox 360 you launched HD era of games. Because it's not like I played Quake 3 in 1080p and 60 frames in 2001 on Pentium 4 and Geforce 3.

The 360 sold HDTVs to a mainstream audience. Quake 3 and the like sold expensive video cards to a handful of nerds. Not the same thing.
