I was told 2 years ago I had to have both Knees replaced. My impression was the "Specialist"seemed in a hurry for me to sign up. I can walk pretty well no pain or clicking. I have been using your tips. Thanks
Good morning Dr.David I turn down the doctor to take medicine for the rest of my life, Iam so bless to see you your video by chance.I wish one day I can visit your clinic .REGARDS from Madel Crawley from Hongkong.
Hey Madel! We hope you can get your knees healthy and get back to normal again! You’re welcome to visit us in El Paso, Texas USA. Dr. David has visited Hong Kong 🇭🇰
Hi Dr. David how are I really feel good now like 85 percent. Before I was like no patient but its true it's a long process you know I always watch your advice to strengthen your glute muscles and its work. Thank you very much and God bless you.
My knee history: Jan, 2013 Left knee hurts after a 50 min walk in the snow in the park. Temp was just about freezing. (Was told it was due to osteoarthritis). Apr 2016 x-ray of both knees show mild deterioration of the cartilage.pain is due to the bone rubbing on bone. . .. (it has not been too severe) Weight exercises to strengthen the muscles in/around the knee Can jog as long as I can bear the pain as it also helps to build muscle around knee. I used to run 5km in about 30 minutes which I stopped in 2012 but kept cycling during the summer and treadmill during winter. This spring/summer/fall I cycled over 3000 km minimum of 30km in about 100 minutes. While walking on the treadmill now (Dec 2021), I sometimes jog up to two minutes at 5km per hour, to get my heart rate up (in an effort to not go back on high blood pressure meds! 60 days meds free, BP under 140/90 for a 69 yr male) Over the years, I was prescribed pain meds for the knee but after a while, I realized being active was much better medicine. Yes, I thought of re-doing the x-ray to compare to year 2016 .. . .maybe in 2022. Regards, Maisha from Whitby, Ontario, Canada
Knowing that there is not much research makes me feel better! 10 to 12 months is nothing compared to being told NEVER. I will keep hope that my body will heal as evolution and biology intended. Even if it takes 5 years until healing is something to push through the pain of OA.
@@epmanualphysicaltherapy Totally agree. I had weak abductors which I fixed. I feel way less pain and hope I am on the way to recovery. I can tell the cartilage is damaged, but believe that now there is space in the joint, healing can begin. Your video gives me hope!
Awesome video on healing the meniscus and exercise demonstration, can you make one for the patella tendon Another video elaborating on the food side of things that you started to talk about at end of video would be awesome too Keep up the great work 🙌🏼
Mine kinda healed by going to the gym. There's a machine where u sit and put the feet on a platform and push the weight up. I do just minimal weight and I hold both my kneecaps while I push. I also eat chicken feet, I boil them out. You're supposed to give them raw to dogs , it s very good for them. So, I make soup out of that cartilage. I'm not healed, however it's a lot better than years ago.
Hi Dr David, thank you for your educational videos. My PCP said, according to my knee X-rays, I have osteoarthritis in both knees. Fortunately, I have no chronic pain. I’ve been doing exercises you recommend including ‘tailgate swing’ (with 5lb ankle weights). In this video you mentioned too much activity can negatively effect the benefits of the exercises and therefore the healing process. Would you please specify which activities, or types of activities, I shouldn’t do (I.e. yard work, leg extensions, leg curls, etc.). Thanks again for your wonderful videos.
There is another proceedure called PROLOTHERAPY, where saline solution or an irritant is injected into the joint, this causes irritation, and is suppose to cause the body to then send healing material, blood ? to the site.
I have a rocker/recliner…because of hospital lockdown my knee surgery was cancelled. I changed from reclining to rocking the last year. My knee pain has improved. Can do more things for longer before have to get off my knees & rest. A big positive.
It's been a year since my injury and about 9 months since I've been doing your 28 day knee program almost every day. It has helped so much. I still get a little knee pain if I walk too far without an unloader knee brace. Do you think I will need the brace forever? Or should a few more months of exercise and tailgates be enough?
YAYYYYYYY!!!!!! This is fantastic to hear Aloha Dogs!!!! Thank you for updating us on your success!!!! It's hard to tell how long you'll need the brace...but if your knee keeps getting slightly better month after month, then go as long as your knee needs it. You'll need to keep getting stronger as well. There's no deadline if you're improving. For some, it takes months, while for others it takes a year or more.

Hello Juan! It's great to hear that you're starting our program. Swimming is challenging...if you use your quads while swimming, then it can be harmful for you. If you can make your glutes work while swimming then it can be helpful for a knee problem. It really depends on how you do it. Some people feel better with swimming while others get worse. It comes back to how you use your glutes. The more you can make your glutes work, the better off your knees are 95% of the time.

@@Jalpaandsienna I’m doing much much much better than before
By grace of god my lord Sri tirumala Venkateswara swamy 🙏 now I can run also up to some extent with 103 kgs body weight I’ll get pain sometimes but I’ll do exercise n take physio sessions like ultrasound n IFT heat n cold pads when it’s pain .. and I totally avoided sitting down n do not use Indian toilet n don’t give much pressure on knees like kneel down or related exercise .. i can sit down upto 30 mins max .. May be it’s because of more weight I’ll get numb n pain because of this chondromalacia.. so I decided from 2024 I’ll reduce weight n do more practice to become completely normal.. thanks to my physiotherapist Dr Vamshidar reddy (Gaama physyotheraphy clinic in Hyderabad) and his team had helped me a lot to become better situation from grade -II

Hi I'm from Sri Lanka. I have knee artharitis & have a piecing pain at the back of my knee towards the inside. I'm 63 & doctors say at my age it's impossible to heal.
Is it better to walk all day long back and forth in my house instead of sitting around, just to keep that blood flow going into the joint more?
Hey Artful Dodger, yes it would be better to do some walking at home rather than sitting around. Our bodies were built for moving! That's why we have joints and muscles!
My knee medial meniscus tear is now getting painful nearly 100% of the day! I have been resting it and doing glut exercises

Avocado, tumeric, green tea, berries, walnuts, seeds etc. are good against infammation. For the pain sometimes homeopathic tiny arnica pills are good.
Thanks for mentioning this. These can also help.
