I put the 2 finger clutch lever by 1Finger on my RX and love it! Gave me excellent clutch control, comfortable, can pull lever with one or 2 fingers now and because of this improvement in clutch control I hardly stall anymore in the woods. I’m also running a Hinson clutch which has stiffer springs, how awesome is that!!!!!! I researched for ever and really wanted to stay away from an auto clutch, this did it boyz! This lever took 40 to 50% off my clutch pull and keeps more fingers on the grips which is huge, also gave me the ability to feel the clutch. I race Harescrambles up here in Michigan with this bike and am a force to be reckoned with 🤘🏻
SirShadowShark your welcome, really made me enjoy the bike, stock clutch hinders good clutch control quite badly. I believe it’s called Steady Garage in California, have them in stock. If you have trouble let me know I’ll double check that name. There’s a rubber boot wire harness under left radiator shroud, open it up, the 2 wires for clutch switch are in there, just plug them into each other to bypass the switch, super easy no soldering needed. I recommend the 2 finger Mx lever. Quick tip! Cable slot on new lever was a tad tight, so I filed it wider just a touch and it works great. Clutch cable on the Honda is a bit fat.
@@dtrim7450 Thank you so much man! I'm gonna place my order tomorrow on them. Super hyped about them! Ill definitely keep you updated on the process if you want! :)
SirShadowShark Sweet! Let me know how it goes. Message me if you have any questions 🤘🏻. Adjust your main cable adjuster so you have just a little slop on lever and from there use quick adjuster on lever to softening it right up to feel but still have engine disengagement. There are two holes on lever for cable, use the one closer in, it makes the pull easiest, outer hole gets more of a stock feel. Remember to file open the cable slot a touch if needed, my cable was a bit big and was kinda squeezed in there, don’t want rubbing. I actually only had a small drill bit on hand and stuck it in sideways to open up cable slot, was quick and easy, then used a piece of sand paper to smooth it out. Im sure your a bit mechanical having a bike but just wanted to give a few tips for success, took me about 20 minutes, easy job.
I have an 09 450 and love it in the woods. Turned up the idle and changed out the clutch and she doesn't stall. I don't have an issue with overheating. I love the bike. Great video and feedback
I’ve got a 2005 crf 250 that I’ve been doing up, it’s a lovely bike to ride and start, I love it. I’ve also got a 2002 crf 450 and the power is great, brill Mx bike but if you stall it it’s an absolute pig to start, job to beat it on a mx track but in those conditions I’d use my 250 crf .
I really like my rm250 on trails, plenty of power, light , nimble, 2 stroke does get hot as easy as the crf450r and the clutch is nice and light. I dislike this bike on a track tho, 4 stroke easier to ride for me.
You need to look further ahead of your front tire and get comfortable enough to trust the bike and your riding form to make up for mistakes at least if it's not super rough then when you get use to it you will have a easier time I can tell your struggling using more energy than needed
Fantastic video! I have a 2018 CRF450RX with recluse clutch and a heavier flywheel. I will be adding a trail tech fan. I'm enjoying it so very much. I also have a Baja light kit. It's a street legal dirt bike!😂
Hi there . Which one is more capable (better) off road : Honda crf 450 or Yamaha WR 450? Which one is more realiable?i am 190 cm tall and robust 125 kg i don't know which is better for me. Very good video, nice review in these off road muddy conditions😎👍
i have a crf 450r its not good for enduro its a handful and just wants to go. 1st gear crawling along is a nightmare on them they are designed to fly lol good workout though on tricky trails lol better of with a husky 350 for enduro
Can't be tentative with that machine. I ride a CRF 450R on trails similar to some of what I saw here. Some very tight, technical terrain. A lot of bike for that kind of riding. Have to stay on top of the clutch. Good job, enjoyed the vid, cheers.
I’m looking at getting a 2020 450r in a few days. I’m going to be doing more trail type riding (not enduro type trails) and some track riding. I went to the shop today the salesman has one 450r and one 450x. He said the 450x is more suitable for trails because of the 6 speed and the 450r is flat out a race bike. I’m completely torn between the two now because I was dead set on the 450r. I’m afraid if I show up at the track I might be clowned on for the headlight and kickstand lol and feel like I have no business near a race track and the bike won’t have that “cool factor”. Our trails here are wooded logging type roads. Not real technical tight crazy stuff. Do u think the 450r will be a good bike for that?
@@MrPsh-xs7ul Absolutely great bike for dirt roads, open trails and of course the track/ gravle pit. Great for hill climbs and built to fly over jumps when done right with the proper setup.
The Free Radical Art thank you. I spoke to the dealer and he wasn’t much help help. He just said “this is a race bike and this is a trail bike”. I’m gonna go with the 450r. That’s my dream bike. Would u recommend a different sprocket for trails? Or would stock be fine? Like switch back and forth depending on where I’m riding?
@@MrPsh-xs7ul I would recommend a 51 tooth rear sprocket. Also a heavier flywheel helps with low rpm riding for technical trails. For some it is simply to much bike. I have the mods I mentioned and it is still versatile enough that I don't think about changing sprockets. If you want a bit more jam for the track or gravel pit take the restrictor out of your muffler. Put it back in for trail riding in the hot months though as it can reduce the chances of sparks escaping as well.
Yeah I’m still happy with it. The 250 is more nimble and lighter but the 450 is a really fun bike. I think I need both in my life! Excited to see how you get on with yours
Great channel, just subscribed. Just purchased a crf250r to get into enduro, looks like heaven in wales. Would love to road trip to there and ride some of thise trails
Nice vid mate 250s are just as hard to ride Enduro only down thing is for me the 450s are just heavy lol but for Both 450 and 250 mx bikes just need good throttle and clutch control to stop them stalls, 450s might overheat quicker to I don’t know but my 250 has overheated once outa 4 years and that’s cause running crappy coolant at the time haha ✊️👌
I forgot I let my friend rob try out my bike and he adjusted the clutch to the way he liked it, that’s why it was stalling. Just realised that now. I need to adjust it back to my preference.

I've got a yz450f and all I do is enduro and I love my bike but I find the gearing to be alot different to my mates with enduro bikes just wondering if you have changed your sprockets for tighter single tracks also seems you have e start and a battery you should rig up some radiator fans to help with the over heating issue just though mate love your channel by the way 👌🤙🇦🇺

thats why the enduro bikes have built in fsns to cool them down as there isnt much air in woods and when your just riding about slowly

Larger Flywheel to lug it more. Reduces top end but increases lugging capability.
