    Honestly, I'm so scared of bulking. I'm already struggling with eating enough but then also accepting that I'll get bigger.. ah man. Thanks for this vid. Watched it for the 3rd time now.

      Same. I'm skinny and although I've been eating at maintenance for years I've cleaned up my general intake to more protein and less carbs. Combine this with my general workouts and I've started to lose weight but not gain particularly much muscle. If I want some muscle definition I'll have to start bulking and it just, scares the shit out of me. Soo much media is all about being skinny and pretty and gaining weight on purpose feels just so.... wrong. But I want to be able to actually show off my progress too. Gosh this is hard.

    Hi Sophie! Thank you for explaining everything so simply. I have three questions: 1) What is the macronutrient ratio you recommend while cutting? 2) How much cardio do you recommend? (You mentioned a step goal each day. Should that be 10,000 or more?) 3) Do you recommend doing strength and HIIT training during cutting too? Thank you!

    Op 1 of andere manier praat je anders en dit maakt het zoveel fijner om te luisteren.

    Fantastic. Information was a great way of clarification for myself that I'm doing things right.
    I just started cutting and may have made a huge percentage of the calorie deficit . Your info gave me the right info to allow myself a few more calories during the day .

    Hey girl, this was very helpful. Very calming voice indeed.. 2 Questions:
    1. How long does a person bulk & cut for? Please illustrate this cycle in an example of one year.
    2: My goal is to gain muscle. I can see some muscles here and there. But I’m not completely as we say in Dutch “droog getrained😜” How do I know I’m ready to bulk?

      Omg same girl 😭😭😭😭 I’ve been on a caloric deficit and lost 8 pounds and feel skinny enough to start gaining muscle but I’m afraid to gain the weight back 😐

      Evelin Soto sameeee 😭 I was looking into it a little bit more and found out that another way to figure out if you need to bulk or cut is by knowing your body fat % , less than or 20% you can start to bulk and reaching over 25% is when to start cutting again this has helped me a little

      Nicol Quijandria thank you girl, my body fat percentage is 18 but I still have some fat in my stomach area and I want to get rid of it. I don’t know if I should do the caloric surplus thing. If you do it let me know how it goes !!

      Evelin Soto omggg I was at 18% around the time when I posted the original comment I tried doing like a clean bulk and lowkey it became a little of a dirty bulk but now I have gained some pounds some and am at 19% almost 20% body fat and I have been trying to lift heavier and only do cardio once in a while I’ve taking progress pics and I believe it working in lifting a little heavier on my lower body and I physically don't look like I have gained weight around my stomach but I think I’m going to try and cut again bc even tho I still see like the two little ab lines on my stomach I miss being more lean 🥺

    Watching this I'm just like wow how did I ever manage to lose any weight with my haphazard exercise routine and ratchet diet. I lost maybe 15 pounds over the course of a couple years, and I put on muscle in the process as well. Watching this is just a wake up call to me that if I want to actually realize my fitness goals I'm gonna have to have a real plan. Thanks for a great video!

    So how long would you recomend cutting/bulking. I have been working out for A year and gained som muscles but also lost fat. I really want to get more muscles but also shred some more fat. Here you recomend cutting first. Should i just continue until Im “satisfyed”? And Then bulk?

    This is amazing thank you!! I've been trying to bulk for a while but I've actually been getting smaller, I believe my error was that I was not eating enough despite busting my butt at the gym😂 I am definitely stronger but I didn't seem "bigger" if that makes sense and it was really discouraging. However after watching this I feel much better and more motivated!!❤

    Would you say to Bulk first and then Cut? If goal is overall strength? Looking to get strength as well as the overall looks. Current body fat % is around 24.5. I did a cut for a while and then just maintained. I wouldn't mind cutting and then bulking. And then eventually cutting again. I'm 5'9" and weight around 166 on the average day. Goal is around 170-175 when finished. Thanks!

    I love how clear you make things when explaining each topic! for me personally I have more body fat in my upper body, mostly stomach area, and lean throughout the rest. I have 22% BF & am weighing 128 @ 5'3 & 18 yrs. Abs are not visible, but I am still not sure whether to bulk or cut..

    Is it possible to still bulk if you do a high intensity cardio workout 3times a week? I want to build some muscle but I go to Martial arts 3 times a week for 2 hours, and am trying to figure out how as a beginner.

    I started bulking an I realised there’s bulk /maintain then cut ,so I’ve started bulking while building muscle ,I always find bulking is brillient dunno why ppl get scared of it ,I’ve gone from size 8 to a 12 an it’s more muscle than fat ,I don’t think I will want to cut unless I’m in a competition 💁🏻‍♀️,an the calorie intake is very hard work but worth it 😍cardio i do as sets as your body can kill your gains if you run to much etc an I learnt that the hard way 🙈 so I fast pace jog ,bolt then walk fast 5 mins each on the days I don’t lift weights 🙂

      Yes, but most likely you'll get a leaner look, if you are bulking you'll look bulkier.
