Hello Friends!!! I am so glad you are here! Here is a great St Joseph Novena if you are looking for a good one for before your wedding day! theabbotscircle.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Marriage-Novena_2015_Final.pdf
My husband and I will celebrate 67 years of marriage this year. Our wedding Mass was at 9:00 AM....only time weddings were done back then! It is such a blessing to share our Catholic faith. It has guided us through many hard times throughout the years. One thing I did just after we said our vows was to place a bouquet of white flowers on our Blessed Mother’s altar. I think you’re doing such a good job on your channel. I enjoy watching, even though I’m old! God Bless❤️🎚
I love your comment Rene, when practically EVERYONE around me is either divorced or are in the process currently. Congratulations to you and your husband, I hope your anniversary rocks! ❤️💙🙏🏼
Married 28 years. During mass we kneeled before Mary while the Ava maria played and we presented Mary with flowers! It made mass longer but mass was the best part of our day!
You are so right about all of this. My Husband and I have been married for 35 years and although he was not Catholic or had never been baptized I was and we had a Catholic wedding. We raised our Children Catholic and after 32 years and some health challenges he told me he needed God and wanted to become Catholic and he was fully initiated at Easter vigil 3 years ago. ❤️
Our priest had my husband and I do our nuptials at the beginning, followed by the mass, which was TLM. We paid to have the choir sing and to hear these 16th-century hymns sung on our special day was completely overwhelming and so, so beautiful. You are giving some solid advice here. Ladies, take note...
This was our wedding, also. Better than I could have ever imagined. We didn't even have a big party afterwards, just hung out with family and ate a home-cooked meal. The Mass was truly the star event, and I wouldn't have had it any other way!
Married for 15, together for 20, 6 kids later, and my most favourite memory of my wedding day, is after the Mass at our wedding, after we were announced as Husband and Wife, we went down the the Church basement while people were filing out, and we had 10 minutes of just quiet, him and I in prayer. We thanked God for one another and asked for strength and unity. So my advice is to find the time to pray together in a quiet place on that day, and make sure to pray always everyday of your marriage with each other...as a family but as a couple as well 🙏🙏❤️
My wife and I have been happily married for 29 years. We had our wedding anniversary on June 20. We have no children, but we have each other and God in our lives, and are both catholic. Communication is key in marriage. We had a wonderful catholic wedding with a mass. God bless You Heather and Eric.Your videos are awesome. thanks for sharing.
My daughter, the groom, and both immediate family prayed a 54 day novena. But we prayed a rosary 20 minutes before the sacramental ceremony lead by the grooms father. My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed in the back of the church while the groom, groomsmen, and families were up-front. It was beautiful to see not only the bride and groom unite, But that both families united before God through His Mother, our Mother. Powerful and beautiful. The Mass was the center of it all. Our faith is awesome! 🕊💖
These tips are so beautiful, Heather! My husband and I went to confession a few days before our wedding and it was the best feeling in the world entering into marriage with both of us having clean slates. We also had a full Mass at our wedding and loved the witness it was to all of our friends who were not Catholic! I absolutely agree that if you live life the way God intended you will have a grace-filled life. I wish everyone could see that!
I agree so much with your last statement, Lisa! I think the problem is that many people think a grace-filled life is one with no problems, no difficulties, everything goes the way they think it should, sunshine and rainbows all the time. So when they think they've been doing everything they're supposed to and then troubles come, they turn away from God in bitterness and anger. I think part of the problem is poor formation, so we've really got to all do our part in making sure children are taught to expect and handle life's challenges well! And let's really pray for all the adults who are struggling to see the point of living according to God's plan.
Thanks Heather, beautiful to hear. We are a blended family so in addition we also incorporated our children into the nuptial mass by saying the prayers of the faithful. My son carried a marriage crucifix down the aisle that the priest blessed and which now hangs in our bedroom . When in challenging times, we pray before that crucifix. The last thing we did was to wash each others feet as an act of service and love .May God bless you and your family
We had a betrothal ceremony when we became engaged. I believe we received graces to help us prepare for the actual wedding six months later. We also tried to keep our wedding reception joyful and holy. We invited our priest to say grace before the buffet and had a picture of the Sacred Heart (that was later Enthroned in our home) next to the wedding cake. Our Lord watched over us as we celebrated. We were really pleased we went with a ceilidh/barn dance too instead of a DJ. It all helped to keep the atmosphere fun and family friendly.
I need prayers. My daughter is getting marry next June 2022. She grew up catholic. She is planing a non catholic weeding. My husband and I pray for her conversion
Dear Carmenza, don't lose hope. I myself got married 9 years ago, non catholic wedding, i was far away from God but things changed during years and we got married at church 3 years ago with a ceremony of baptism of our 2 kids. Now we are preparing for christening of the 3rd one. We are a Catholic family, praying rosary with kids, reading kids Bibles etc. This needed to come at right time and was my journey not anything pushed by others.
Few things that made the day special. Picking the readings was something we thought about a lot and also who read the readings. I was very intentional with those and making sure both families were included in some way. My husband and I chose to walk into the church together, which was very special. It was about our commitment to each other and God and that just made it very clear. Finally, we had a very detailed program book that included all the responses and also when to stand, kneel, and explanations about parts of the Mass. This made everyone feel included and no one felt odd about not knowing what to do. This was important to me, I wanted everyone's experience of the Mass to be good
It seems that we often forget to prepare our souls for the sacraments. Too much time and effort is spent on meaningless things, and while these are somewhat important, they don’t last. God bless you and yours as well, Heather.
This is so timely. I am getting married in October this year. Thank you Heather for your tips and suggestions. I am inspired and encouraged when you said, “marriage is amazing… that is a great way to holiness” 🙏🏻❤️ Makes me more excited and hopeful😍 Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭
My husband and I are going on 5 year married in October 2021 and everytime I think of our wedding being blessed by God during our Catholic mass I feel so fortunate and grateful and humbled. We did the Engagement Encounters retreat before wedding and although it was mandatory it was THE BEST thing to prepare for our sacrament of marriage. it was amazing how much we learned about each other that weekend. we were there with 50 other Catholic couples that were also preparing for marriage but they had us just focused on each other, it was incredible! they had this phrase that i always tell others getting married now, " A wedding is a day, but a marriage is a lifetime" 💒🔔💐👰🤵❤ its so true!
Beautiful video! I recently saw a video of a Catholic wedding and the husband washed his bride’s feet. Such a cherishing action. As always God bless you and your family 🙏
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing! The world needs more of this. I've been to so many weddings where you can see that all the attention was paid to making the reception perfect & it's like the church part was seen as just the little preamble & I'm just there screaming inside "you've missed the whole point!!" But it can be really difficult to point this out to a couple as they're planning their wedding because they're already dealing with so many pressures and demands from family that if they weren't already thinking of it they'll just see your suggestion to focus more on making their wedding day holy as just another demand/criticism. So again, thank you for sharing - I hope this video inspires many couples.
What a beautiful and thoughtful video! I have my own memories. We included the double rosary ritual in our wedding ceremony and for me, wow, it was heaven on earth. We also got to choose the readings. It is nice to share this with your girl friends, your daughters, but when we have only boys (like my case) I find great value to share these tips with them and their future spouses (great opportunity to really connect). I find lots of value to this video. Thank you!
I am a Catholic Church Wedding Coordinator. I highly suggest doing the flower to Mary. After the ring exchange. I've been married 30 years & my Husband & I just did this.
Thank you so much for this video! No joke you validated what my fiancé and I are going to do for the literal month leading up to our wedding! A lot of people have been judging us! We have a really great best man! He’s going to blindfold both of us so we can pray the rosary without seeing one another on our wedding day!!!
Heather you are so incredible. God has worked through your channel and yourself to help me in more ways than I can write here. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord. 🙏🏼🤍
Thank you so much for reaffirming everything we both want for our wedding to be. The foremost confess and to take the holy bread. Once we had decided that this for us was the most important thing to do, we also committed ourselves to abstinence for the next 6 months. Thank you again, I can’t wait. 🙏🏻😘❤️
I LOVE the ideas in this video! A novena is definitely a good one. And I love the idea of giving a rosary as a bridesmaid gift. I was just thinking today about what would make a special anniversary trip, and I came up with doing a tour of some of the most beautiful Catholic cathedrals in America with your spouse. Learning about the church’s history and architectural details, while attending mass in those cities and praying for one another at each location, would be amazing. Washington DC has one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen:)
Thank you for reminding me of how very important GOD IS in marriage. My hubby to be is in Army currently, & Covid hit, so we have not had a church wedding yet. I'm praying daily for my fiance( we met later in life-late 50s,hes 60) so I'll be blessed with a stepson who already calls memom❤️. Took a lot of years to find a wonderful Catholic man! Also have you heard of the Maria knot(I think?) a large Rosary is wound around the joined hands ad prayed over. That's what I'd like to have.
Could you please make a video about the importance of modesty on the wedding day, some couple dance in inappropriate ways or do the garter toss in front of the kids.
Thank you!!! Me and my fiancé love our faith and we want our day to be as holy as possible especially because we are very young to be getting married in nyc and it’s a true leap of faith 😂❤️🙏🏻 going to confession before is such a fantastic idea! And mass during wedding is so special.
Wow, that is beautiful. God bless ur marriage. Sweetheart, I have been married for 50 yrs., I did pray, but not to the extent and depth of ur preparation. I can still, do better and thank u. 🙏❤️👏👍🌟😘✝️
Nothing wrong with asking them to pray the rosary with you. They might do it with you if you ask them. I hope they *DO* give you this gift of time and prayer.
Awesome video. I'm trying to figure out now if I should invite some old friends to the wedding. These are people I had been friends with for a while. I don't know if it's the Holy Spirit prompting me, but I want everyone to be there to see this very special moment. It would be incredible to have everyone there.... praying about it and going to talk with my to-be-spouse. 🙏
We are praying a novena to St. Therese, leading up to our wedding day on her feast day! I recommend praying a novena to the saint of the day, or of course St. Joseph 😊 So many gifts God has given us already
Just wanted to share one thing I've done. Sometimes, I couldn't make a wedding that I was invited to because of long distance travel. It was tough to take time off of work or find the funds. At around the time of the wedding, I would go to my local parish and have a holy hour. I'd dress up just the same as if I were going to the wedding and pray for the couple and their marriage. Even if it wasn't at the exact same time as the wedding, I found some time that day or that weekend. That way, I could at least be present at the wedding through the Blessed Sacrament. The day before my wife and I got married we had a holy hour before our rehearsal and invited those who couldn't or even those who could to do the same if they wanted to join us there or at their local parishes.
Heather I enjoy your videos. Your wedding video was beautiful. I was married to my late husband for 3 and a half years. He passed away June 21/ 2021. I remember my wedding day with joy. Your ideas are really good. I wish I could of had more years with my husband but sometimes things happen and the reason is beyond our understanding. Can you suggest anything that I could do as a Catholic to help me with my loss ?
God bless you and heal your broken heart, losing your husband after such a short lived marriage. Yes, God's ways are not always our ways and we cannot grasp or understand why things happen. Continue to pray for God's comfort, for your husband's soul and surround yourself with people who are uplifting. I pray the Rosary every day for nearly a year now, and one day a week a Rosary Zoom with some dear friends who I met in church choir. Try to start or join such a group. It will bring you peace and joy. Additionally, it is like a support group and we all pray for each other's intentions. It has been such a blessing, and we started with Zoom due to the pandemic. Keep praying...God has a beautiful life in store for you. Follow His lead....
I will be praying for you Kat. You have touched my heart deeply. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my Michael before we even wed . It's been several years now, and God has given me much healing. I had to give away my wedding dress and shoes without ever wearing them. Michael was the love of my life. One thing I hold fast to is the fact that not everyone *gets a love of their life* . I've known women who never married, never got proposed to. Even though Michael is gone, I still hold onto what I learned being with him & by loving one another. I am very sorry for your loss. Please allow yourself to grieve as much as you need to. And I suggest that you join a grief group. That can help very much. SENDING YOU LOVE, SISTER IN CHRIST. I was afraid that I wouldn't heal. But I have healed. I think of the poem {{ Footprints in the sand }} . I know at times, Jesus has carried me and only one set of 👣Footprints are on the beach. My faith has INCREASED since Michael passed away. But that took time.
@@harmonygordon6901 thank you so much for your message. I am so sorry to read that Micheal passed away before you were married. I can only imagine the pain you have endured. Thank you for your comforting thoughts that many women do not find the love of their life or are proposed to. That is true. My husband Tony was the love of my life and I am grateful for the short time I had with my husband. Like you I fear that I might not heal from this loss. I loved my husband greatly. We had plans and they will never be realized. I pray the rosary and as Heather suggested I pray for my husbands soul and for strength to get through the pain of loss and the sorrow. It is hard to understand why? I miss him so much. It gives me hope that you have said it takes time but you have had healing. Thank you so much for sharing your story. The rosary is powerful and I will continue to pray it and have faith that God will help me through my sorrow.
Thanks for sharing Heather I can see the joy of your marriage in your face you said something very important to invite Jesus into our marriage.! We didn’t do that we never prayed together before our marriage I don’t even remember if we went to mass together 😞 I don’t know if I felt at that time that he was my last chance/option to get married we did everything wrong before we got married and I think now we’re paying the consequences 🥺 I’m not sure if I want to continue with my marriage.!! Please pretty please pray for me 🙏
I will pray! I am sorry your heart is so heavy but know that even if your marriage started without God there is ALWAYS time. God wants you to bring your marriage to him and he can start the healing process, there is always hope! I have several videos that might help you, I will link them all here, the main thing is to focus on God and he will help:) I will continue to pray for both of you! ua-cam.com/play/PLV7v_81j_oZbsKlSgedOtyL9a6NKniWRK.html
Sorry to get into your conversation. I just want to say something similar happened to my marriage but I started praying the rosary and offering the holy communion for our marriage and it's being a year that everything started to change. But you have to have faith and patience.
God is a redeemer. Remember to It takes patience, time, prayer and most importantly FAITH. It can be done. Keep leaning on God and his blessed Mother and keep your focus on them to help you. If your spouse doesn’t he will at least know or see you do and that seed is planted. I will pray for you.
Why not start today? With confession and with the novena to St. Joseph. What is good before marriage is good within. God forgives and God heals. Be blessed, you and your husband. There is so much love.
it was so different with me :D I thought about my dress a lot, like about a statement, so, I was fully covered, heavily veiled (I had 3 veils), and no makeup. I put on mascara because my mother asked me to do at least something :)) I did my hair by myself, and I thought about sewing my dress by myself, but it was a bad idea :D. No bridesmaids, no party, (I am neurodivergent, I just can't talk with girls and I don't want to), but the longest type of mass we could choose.
🌸🌷🧘🏾♀️Thankyou!!! ♥️🌷🌸Now I know that when I see something ( slangish-vulgar ) or ( trashy ) ( drama ) ( gossip ) I will turn around walk away, put my earplugs! Remove immediately because what I want is to be in ( high-quality ) in elegance, to have my family and to focus 🧘🏾♀️ on my husband and family! I purchase cameras 🎥 I hired my (family -lawyer) 🌸♥️🌸🌸
Can you do a video on divorce? My uncle and aunt were Catholic and married through the church and they never got a real divorce but they were separated and they didn’t want to be with each other I was wondering if you could do a video on that
Then they are still married. They are NOT divorced. Divorce doesnt exist to catholics. Seperation for extreme reasons is allowed but they are still married.
We have a catholic wedding planned next for next year.. we have 2 beautiful kids already I am so anxious that we will be judged for going ahead with a catholic wedding when we already have children
I really wish I would have been taught the Catholic (or even simply Christian) faith and traditions growing up. Now, my husband has divorced me and with someone who is Catholic (I wasn't Catholic enough as per him) and he wants to annul the marriage. 😔
Hello Friends!!! I am so glad you are here! Here is a great St Joseph Novena if you are looking for a good one for before your wedding day! theabbotscircle.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Marriage-Novena_2015_Final.pdf

Aww I totally missed this, my husband and I just celebrated the sacrament of marriage this past Friday ❤️❤️
Convalidating my marriage on Saturday (June 26)! :)
So excited for you!!!
CONGRATULATIONS. Today will be special. Praying for your marriage NOW.
I've always loved St Joseph but wish I knew these things 30 years ago. I think it would have helped me in the early years.
I really want to pray a Rosary with my bridesmaids, but none of my friends are catholic :(
Nothing wrong with asking them to pray the rosary with you. They might do it with you if you ask them. I hope they *DO* give you this gift of time and prayer.
Thank you for sharing!!!❤️🙋🏾♀️
Awesome video. I'm trying to figure out now if I should invite some old friends to the wedding. These are people I had been friends with for a while. I don't know if it's the Holy Spirit prompting me, but I want everyone to be there to see this very special moment. It would be incredible to have everyone there.... praying about it and going to talk with my to-be-spouse. 🙏
Watching this video again, 5 days before my wedding day 😊❤️
We are praying a novena to St. Therese, leading up to our wedding day on her feast day! I recommend praying a novena to the saint of the day, or of course St. Joseph 😊 So many gifts God has given us already
So excited for you!!!
Thank you so much for this video, now I want to do that on my wedding day !! ♡♡
I love this video! Thank you 😊
Your hair looks beautiful! 💕 love your videos, you are such a blessing!
Beautiful! Heather, where did you get your miraculous medal? It is so lovely!
Which mystery of the rosary did you pray with your bridesmaids?
I'm getting married next year may 20 2023
Congratulations
Thank you. Beautiful video. I bet you were a beautiful bride!
I can’t wait to get married by the church 💝
So excited for you!

Sorry to get into your conversation. I just want to say something similar happened to my marriage but I started praying the rosary and offering the holy communion for our marriage and it's being a year that everything started to change. But you have to have faith and patience.
I will pray for your marriage too... I also recommend daily rosary... The family who prays together stays together 🙏💕
These are great ideas tysm!!
Wow! I think you made this video for me 🥰🥰👰🏻♀️👰🏻♀️
🌸🌷🧘🏾♀️Thankyou!!!
I only did two things out of the list, not the best. I wish I could turn back the hands of time. My refuge is in our Lady of perpetual help
Beautiful 🙏🙏
We have a catholic wedding planned next for next year.. we have 2 beautiful kids already I am so anxious that we will be judged for going ahead with a catholic wedding when we already have children
How'd you know I just set my wedding date today??!!
Ahhhhhh!!! You converted!!!
“Born again”
I want to have a catholic wedding
I really wish I would have been taught the Catholic (or even simply Christian) faith and traditions growing up. Now, my husband has divorced me and with someone who is Catholic (I wasn't Catholic enough as per him) and he wants to annul the marriage. 😔
I'm confused. Is it beautiful because of all of the Catholic decorations or is it beautiful because of God?
❤
Super!
I gave you a thumbs up on this, but I'll have to pass👼🙆♂️ Thank you...🤴🤱🌟
