    I've watched a lot of these, and I don't think I've ever seen one before where the rug was so caked with crud that it didn't even lie flat. What a transformation.

    I think it would be a nice addition at the end if you showed us the BACK of the rug before and after too. When I do cross stitch I always try to make the back look as good as possible. It's still there, even if I don't see it!

      You should always read the tag on the back of the rug before doing that because some rugs are not machine washable

    What’s the difference between the first soap suds out of the watering can vs the greenish super foam that you used second?

      So, a lot of the shampoos he uses are color correctors. They use color theory to deposit a smidge of dye to brighten whites and cancel out harsh yellows. The blue shampoo is one of those. I think the green dye was just for show though.

    What are some tips on drying a rug out so that it doesn’t mold up from all the water. For a DIY area rug cleaning?

      vacuum out as much water as possible and hang out to dry on a really hot day.

      The water gets recycled and the rug is donated to a charity that appreciates it, sparing it from the dump in itself is worth it.

    Great job. Do you ever get rugs that have defined/glaring stains? All of the videos I see are of filthy, disgusting rugs, but no particular stains on them. What do you do with stains?

    i so badly wish he released a longer form vid of this one, like he did with so many of the shorter vids :/ this is one of my absolute favourites he ever did, and he skips past so much. the water evac part, especially when. he goes back and forth like that on these shaggy rugs rather than just a straight line, is one if my favourite parts and i wish i saw him do that to the whole rug 😫😭
