Autocar India : please understand 8” touchscreen is enough unless you’re planning to do software development inside the car. sunroof isn’t a desirable feature. It’s a nuisance and safety hazard.
Trust me software development would also be a drag..... The SoC's in the systems are weaker than your phone and driving a high resolution display already takes 70 % of their juice out of them (SoC's on cheaper cars is what I'm talking about, not premium and costly cars)
Dude is almost 6 feet tall and fits in the back seats with a good amount of room left while saying it has "decent space". My man , the average height of an Indian male is like 5'6. Edit - this car is for city driving ! Why are we talking about driving with a heavy foot to extract maximum performance? We have to treat cars like Dzire and amaze as city cars for nuclear families. CVT is for convenience in traffic.
Well. Not everyone can afford to have a car for just city driving and another car that could do highways. Especially after paying a hefty price tag for this car.
Just talk to yourself there are a lot of Indians who prefer Sunroof as it looks stylish and as we can't buy completely open roof cars at least we can have Sunroof. (PS- I know Cars will get less safer with sunroof but it is what it is)

Good to see sedans alive and well through the new Dzire and Amaze. These are much better offerings than the lifted hatchbacks that dominate the sub-4m segment.
As an Amaze user, this car is only meant for the city. As someone once said (rather concisely and aptly), "this car is a boon in the city and a bane on the highways!" Dream car in the city - never troubled me once.
you seem to have a limited knowledge on driving ( or correct info not given in your post)...i am referring to amaze cvt 2022 here...cvt itself is pretty good to drive on highways (i assume manual would be much better)...there is nothing that makes you feel bad about it...of course is not an enthusiasts car, for which you look for other performance cars as simple as that...i dont know why people keep adding this point without driving it...may be if you are referring to above speed 110 then I agree but guys indian highways are not made for above this speed. amaze feels not great at all post 100-110 speed lets be clear about it...but look at the positive aspects of it they are plenty...is boon in the city but mileage in the city is too poor at 9-11 ...highway i get about 18-20 (80-100 speed+light foot)...many other complaints are common in this price range...so therefore not bad on highways guys
Things Honda missed 1) Adjustable Headrest for all 5 passengers 2) TPMS 3) 360' Camera 4) 9" Touch screen system 5) Front Arm Rest 6) Type C port in front and rear 7) Ventilated Seats 8) Optional Sunroof (I personally dont like sunroof but people love it) 9) UV Cut Glass
tpms seems a big miss (but as an accessory available), uv cut glass could be useful but you have accessory from them at least...adjustable doesnt matter much now, others available as accessories... perhaps adjustable lumbar support matters...
The only miss is ventilated seats but the pricing helps! Adjustable headrests are good, but the ones Honda gives are plenty comfy and big. TPMS, UV cut glass & Arm rest is available as an accessory. Others are just fluff features with no real benefits.
Carmakers should also consider special coating or mechanicals to clean ORVMs just like they do both windshields. Also neckrest, window curtain and More cubby holes especially in the dash! I miss my old swift which had a cup holder below ac vent and large cubby on the dash itself!
Kindly stop mentioning the absence of sunroof as a negative in a compact sedan. Keeping the safety issue apart, why would you want a sunroof in a compact sedan or in any car at all? Wanna feel the open sky, buy a convertible or better get a 2 wheeler. Autocar india is not supposed to just read the brochure and talk about what's in the car and not. Talking about what makes sense in a car is what makes a sensible review. Instead just blabbering whatever is given in the brochure and calling yourself automotive journalists. I took the test drive of Amaze MT and CVT. Personally I feel MT is better. Anyways it depends on the user's need. My family consists of 4. Mostly my drive will be in the city and 2,3 long trips in a year. My primary needs in a car are the safety features, good built quality, a clean design, a decent leg room, head room and boot space and low maintenance cost. In long drive I look for the passengers'' comfort at an enjoyable speed of 80 to 90 kmph. I don't need a car which will reach 100 kmph in a few seconds, sun roof and other features. If these are your needs, I feel Amaze is a very good choice. I don't underrate dzire but somehow I am bored with it's look, including the latest one.
@kumar_123-c6f I understood from my friends that CVT on long drive gives extreme comfort and can drive for hours without getting tired. However you have to manage the rubber band effect. Won't be able to take quick overtakes. Overall it's good for long drive.
