In another lifetime, I randomly attended a gig of yours at The Espy in Melbourne, Australia over a decade ago and little did I know what a blessing I had received. So many times that my lonely heart, broken and beaten, was calling to Allah and He sent me to listen to you. It happened again today. I didn’t even know you released a new album. He is truly the best of planners. It took me a couple of listens to connect the adhan line as a break and a relief from the relentless champ that is dunya. How the Prophet Mohamed ( SAW) used to call on Bilal to soothe his soul with the adhan. Such simple lines that carry so much weight in dunya (keeping us grounded) and in akhira (and focused) for the author and the listener. May Allah (SWT), Al-Wadud reward you for the reminder to seek help in patience & prayer, always protect you and your family and forever guide your pen to heal our weary souls until we reach Him 🤲🏾 And may The Most Gracious allow us to be blessed with a gig for the faithful in Jahnatul Firdows, Allahuma Ameen! 🫶🏾
