I found this when searching for Brother Ali tonight in a Suicidal guilt fed moment. And the words its all love and service if not than whats the purpose hit hard. I work at a food bank as a security guard. I often work with the broken as a broken man I feel empathy with them. I was homeless for 3 years living in my car, and these people are as desperate as I was. Life is easy to be taken for granted when in deep pain, but this song is an example of the right way to think. This is the path to healing. Love unconditional and talk with compassion, love yourself and strangers. Be aware of your surroundings and surround yourself with love.
This album came into my life at the right time. 3 years into recovery have me reflecting on all aspects of life and the pressure with keeping the consistency of remaining clean and sòber or to throw it all away and go back to killing myself with chemicals but this album has definitely done a ser vice to keep me on the road I'm on...the negative thoughts are really just fleeting ones and I'll remain to let them flee from me. Bless all of you who read this!

Love brother ali, he is one of my favorite rappers ever. But the vocals feel too low on this whole album. Its hard to hear them. I wonder if it would be possible to raise them on the streaming versions of tracks. I have seen other artists update trackers.

I'm concerned and disappointed with the atheist line. I've got immense respect for all religions and people that practice them but I always feel like I mention my lack of faith and it is some kind of affront to the people I tell. Then again, I was raised in a very Christian family in a Christian town, so the discrimination was heavy when I came out. I know I'm rambling, but still, it saddens me to see an anti-atheist line from an artist I respect so much

I don't think that's what you meant but I heard it that way at first too and then I thought about the lyrics in context. I think that perhaps what you meant was to call out the hypocrisy in some atheists who don't like the idea of damnation, but don't see a problem in constructing a sort of hell for people they disapprove of. Just as you're calling out the hypocrisy in anarchists who don't see an issue in consolidating mob power to go after people they dislike in the next line.
