I got the 43x MOS a bit after buying my mom the 48. I pretty much switched her slides because hers didn’t come with the rail and I needed a longer barrel for security duty. I’ve ran hundreds of rounds through 2 Shield Arm mags with both 48 and 43 variants with different parts along the way. I put the gold SA mag well and gold SA slide release just because it was gold. I’ve never had a jam or issue with anything I’ve added or the different variants. I haven’t put 1000 rounds yet but I trust it with my life because with all the different changes and ammo types, I’ve yet to run into any issues. Great carry piece Forsure!!!!

The tungsten guide rod is a nice upgrade. I did that on my daughters EDC 43x and she loves it. I agree, I have a Glockstore trigger and that helps. I like the footprint as I am 5-8" and 115 lbs. I print easy. This helps that problem quite well. Great post-thank you-God bless.
I bought the 43X MOS a couple months ago. Snappy as hell. I can't trust Shield Arms mag with my life. Too many ftf complaints from others. I shoulda just got a glock 19
@@jlinka79 exactly. I'm a complete noob and shoulda got something easier to train with and more capacity. It's still a great conceal gun. Just want more than 10 rnds
My friend has the 43x and it’s a very nice pistol. I’ve been thinking about it as an EDC but the capacity is the thing that keeps me away from it. I know you can buy 15-round capacity but then not being Glock I’m not sure of the reliability. Thanks for this video!
Have more or less decided on the 43X myself, mainly because Glocks are what I'm most familiar with and they've never once given me a reliability issue. I have never considered 11 rounds of 9mm to be a concern. Used to carry a Walther PPS in .40 with a 7-round mag and never felt under-equipped. Also a 7-round SIG P232 in .380. I think the recent upgrades in sub-compact mag capacity have made us all a little nuts. A scenario requiring > 11 rounds just seems insanely unlikely if you're a civilian. Like you, I would probably not use aftermarket mags due to reliability concerns.
The Shield Arms mags are great, but I would strongly suggest replacing the plastic mag release with a metal one since the Shield mags are metal not polymer
I have the upgrade for the 15 round mag. I have found them to work well. I have the gen2 15 round mags, and have heard good things about the gen3 as well-if that helps-Best of luck-God bless.
I'm looking for my first gun! 🔫 🎉😂 I've decided on the Glock 43x for its compact, slim EDC capability. I'm going with Glock based only on the fact that I "hear" they are some of the most reliable pistols out there. Based on no personal experience whatsoever. I've fired my friends guns many times and it's time for my own! I want something first timer easy. Reliable for personal/home protection. The 43x is $530+tax at my local Dunham's. That's bloated retail I know but still $50 cheaper than the 43x MOS, at just 2 oz's lighter... I'm willing to pay the steep price if I can get a "good" gun! I'm also looking at the Glock 44 , 22LR for a fun play toy! That's a $400 gun. The Glock 19 is a must I hear as well!😂 Damn I'm gonna go broke with these damn Glocks!😂 Then there's MODS and triggers n stuff...😢😂😂😊
My only major gripe are two simple things: I never wanted a Glock as a left handed shooter because they didn’t have ambidextrous slide releases. Not a big issue but the Gen 5 was a great improvement. My next gripe is the 10rd mag issue. You can take a Glock 19 mag and remove plastic from one side and it will work just fine. Such a simple fix/design flaw. I’m sure they did it on purpose. Can’t have the 43X undercut the 19. But the way I see it, people are either gonna buy a 19 or 43X. And if a 43X can replace a 19, why not? If Glock is going to sell one or the other, why not sell either? As opposed to someone choosing a P365 over a G43X/G48 over such a simple design that could be implemented.
I got 3 gen 3 mags, fill it up, and leave it for a day and then test them, they jam out the bag, but now I ran 500+, not a single problem(more testing forsure) just a great pistol with 15 rounds 🔥
i got a hellcat pro over the 43x mainly because the 43x was 10 rnds, vs 15 with the hellcat in the exact same size, and the hellcat pro came standard being optic ready. if not for capacity, i'd have gotten the 43x for sure.

I got the G43X with the ultimate carry night sights. It doesn’t have the mos which I was fine with because I don’t use red dots on my carry pistols and it’s been excellent.
9 round is plenty. I love the full size grip and low width dimensions. I never really cared for Glock but the dimensions on this pistol are an absolute fit to all the pistols I've shot and sampled! Maybe PPS is closest. Still want a CZ P01 but this is nearly a perfect pistol change front site to tritium
I would actually suggest the 19 but thats just me tho. I really like the 43x but the 19 gen 5 is like butter 🧈 And what's crazy is i bought a p365 because it was small and some how it prints more than the 19. Idk if it bieng bigger helps it stay closer to my body or what. But i been carrying my 19 for a while and im a lil guy
Shot a rental 43X last week, and for whatever reason, shot it better than the larger frame Glocks I have owned. If you live in a state with mag restrictions, picking this over the G19 is a no-brainer.
I personally am not a fan of going for the shield mags. The mag is such a crucial point of a semi automatic firearm and I know a lot of people haven’t had issues with them, but enough people have to give me some pause with them. I’ve seen a video where they compare the shield mags to the stocks ones side by side and the geometry is pretty different.

PSA has mags for the 43x 15 rds . They are made of polymer ........................
not reliable
Have you tried them. I bought them but need to vet them.
@@Hamish_Whitehavenhave you tried them?
I had some FTFs with them and the 15th round was a pain to get in so you have to put 13-14 in then let the mag break in . kinda annoying
