Killua has white hair, blue eyes and finger nails that can turn into claws and uses them for slicing, uses electricity in his attacks and is fast, sometimes he has cat ears and tail
Killua is a yokai that is mostly forgotten and has quite the identity crisis, one of Japan's most feared, revered, powerful and dangerous yokai, the raiju

Idea for a signature move for kaskadian Trevanat: Euphoric Decay- A Pokemon hit with this attack has all of it's stats maxed out for 2 turns but it faints at the end of the 2 turns even if it's switched out.
Cool and unique. I like it
Sounds broken if spammed in competitive as a gimmick. Perish song doesn’t kill so long as you switch out, so having the Pokémon faint no matter what feels a bit broken.
I see where you're coming from to be honest it kinda is but instead of killing it the target stats will plummet lower then there starting stats.still cool idea
A good hidden ability for him could be something called "Troubled foliage". This ability would have it to where every attacking grass type move that Kaskadian Trevenant uses have a 20% chance to poison/confuse the opponent.
@@skylander5884 - Maybe it gets +6 to all for 2 turns, but then goes to -6 to all afterwards.
Although, now that I think about it, there could be a use for the move in Doubles, where Trevenant targets its ally, who is holding a White Herb, with the move. You get 2 turns of super mode, then the backlash triggers, but then the White Herb triggers, resetting the changes to neutral. Thus, after the 2 super turns, the ally simply goes back to normal, no worse for wear.
I could totally see a main character in the anime having a Folleming and there being an episode where they find a wild one and two guru ones fight over the followers trying to take the other’s followers, it could even be that some characters stumble upon this scene and ash tries to help out the one that loses

A perfect move for the Folleming would be No Retreat, they're multiple pokemon following each other, just like falinks
Recommendation: Go the fangame route instead. Probably easier to edit the base frame of a fangame than an official pokemon game, since this game has such deep and complex weather system nowhere near that of the main series.
Exactly, because the closest you can get for the weather system is....the gen 8 games with their terrains...which will be a hell of a lot of work
Its easier to make a rom hack IMO. Since half the codes are already done for the weathers all you need is to add more, something that isnt impossible and is probably easier than to just remake the entire thing from ground.
Also the rom hacking community is way bigger than the fan game ones making it easier to get help with projects and technical issues than a fan game (rpg maker or not).
Also everyone can run it on emulators instead of it being heavy making not all pcs being able to play it

@@DronesOverTheMoon Technically taking a fangame and editing it is the same as taking an official game and changing it. Also I find it easier to download fangames as they only need 1 thing to be played while ROM hacks are much mroe complicated and I have no idea how to download one.

...and swans and geese are pretty closely related...
granted we already have ducklett and swanna for the main story, but this leads me to state that there could totally be somebody in the kaskade region who wrote a variation of the ugly barnacle... but with gneckle... it's very much a stretch, but it's a silly idea nonetheless

@@aaronjames3228 it’s fine in double battles, since you can double target and protect is common. It’s broken in singles, since double targeting doesn’t exist, protect isn’t common, and entry hazards breaking sashes.

Dynamax is BUSTED in Singles. It's like if you merged megas and Z-moves in an unholy union to create the most jank battle mechanic possible.
Hence why Smogon banned it faster than a Regieleki using Extreme Speed.

I love the idea of having a Pokemon that show up early on and evolve through friendship. Kinda reinforces the whole "you're a special trainer because you have great friendship with your Pokemon".

3:12 wow, having a poison type that can turn its opponents into grass types is exactly what monotype poison teams need. That or maybe it's forest curse can have an effect like soak or corrosion to make steel and poison types turn into pure grass type

I'm also a pseudo-marine biologist (hence my name)! Though I'm just here to point out that there's also a goose called the barnacle goose, which is required to jump off of its home cliff before it even learns how to fly in order to evolve from baby to adolescent. Sadly, most are unable to evolve due to quitting the game early whether because it was too hard or because they just couldn't figure out the mechanics. Don't know if this has anything to do with the lockemon, but it is kinda neat!
Another pseudo-related fact: Back in the 1600s, people didn't know where beavers came from. They just assumed they grew from driftwood. Therefore they were fine to eat while fasting

I just got into fan-made regions and I gotta say, Kaskade and Mazah are my favorites. Lockstin focuses more on lore and mechanics while Subjectively on pokemon designs (make sense because of their content). Anyway, I'm so excited for the completion.

I have been loving learning the lore behind Kaskade and the Lockemons. It shows that a lot of effort is being poured into this just as much as, if not more than, the actual Pokemon games. Keep it up!

I'd say this this region is an amazing idea, and I can't wait to see more of it. If I were a developer at GameFreak, I would love to make a game based on this, but, I'm just a fan, so we can only hope something like this becomes reality.
Perhaps we can pitch it to game freak, and see if they could allow a side series. Where they will allow promising fakemon artists and talented devs of fan games, to work on creating a spinoff region. Not necessarily as high budget as the main series, but still excellent quality. Perhaps using a mix of sprite art and 3D models.

The reason they are called goose barnacles and why there is a species called barnacle geese is because during the middle ages they thought that barnacle geese emerged from goose barnacles after every winter because they didn't know about migrations. This also meant that they were considered fish and could be eaten during lent when eating meat was forbidden, such a good pokemon design!
I feel like you could lure out a clamtrip if you drop a pearl in a “suspicious area”.

A typing being broken is not the only thing that matters,

For example you could give this typing to Unown or Spinda and they still be hot trash since their other traits heavily out weight how excellent the typing is

OK just saying competitive has a clause called "evasion clause" witch bans all accuracy lowering, or evasion rasing moves and abilitys (double team, sand attack, snow cloak, ect) so pearl drop whould be BANED. I whould recommend changing it so it increases defence or something.
Or maybe make it like automatic stealth rock/ steel spikes of som3 kind that lowers speed cause Pokemon are forced to slow down to fight safely
Also/or make it that Pokémon who yoink items from you get a pearl instead of your held item (a more rare secondary ability?)

Pearl Drop would probably be banned competitively. The Evasion Clause exists

If its gonna be a rom hack, I would suggest basing it on gen 5, as they already have a season system in game
Be very careful about money involved in a ROM hack or fangame, that attracts cease and desist more than anything
This. Nintendo is very quick to send them if they smell any money being made .

I wouldn't worry, there's so many fangames being made all the time, I wouldnt expect any cease and assist unless it gets like Uranium big. And it's fine since Lockstin is not making money off the fangame directly like Prism's gofundme or Uranium's patreon, only using money from merch from an oc, so it's fine. I think the community is definitely too paranoid about this stuff, Nintendo barely does it.

I want a video going into detail of all the new and old weathers and explaining how they work and what Pokémon they affect . Like what moves activate them. What abilities summon them. What abilities are compatible with them. What moves are compatible with them. And anything else I forgot. My favorite thing about this region is the weathergy. We got a bit of it in the Castform video but I want it’s own video.
There should be weather categories that determine which weather effects could stack.
You guys need to make a fan made game about this it would be great :)
Btw the lemming one reminds me of a story told at school on how children liked a dude who played music snd would often follow him, when the village punished him, he played his music and the children followed him into the woods where they were never seen again.

You really understand a great use of pokemon and lockemon. The designs can create interest and bring attention to creatures and phenomenon that many people might never have learned about otherwise. People complain that kids are able to name more pokemon than local wildlife (it's not like pokemon were designed to be marketable and memorable or anything), but if they see something like a hair themed goblin or a gem-eyed rock creature, they might be inspired to look into their origins and learn something new.
The goose barnacle Pokemon is brilliant, absolutely love it. In medieval Britain, people didn’t understand migration, meaning no-one knew what happened to animals like the barnacle goose. The next logical step then is what many people believed in, where they thought that barnacle geese just turned into gooseneck barnacles, due to both having long necks. This meant that when someone saw a barnacle goose that hadn’t migrated yet, they would “help” it by attaching weights and dropping it in the ocean or a lake.
