The irony of this video is that I had the same exact trimmer as this man's old trimmer and the same exact thing happened with the battery. I never got rid of it though and continued using it regardless of the issue of having to put it on charge for 5 mins before it could function. I did this for 10 years and finally today, the shaver just came to a grinding halt. I consider it a friend as it stood the test of time regardless of its issues. Today, I have sent it to live with other shavers in the big wide world of the dump yard, but its memory will never fade. Because this is the first video I watched regarding this newer Philips model, I will buy it without asking any questions as I believe it was meant to be.
Thanks for the battery explanation. I'm shocked how poorly some of these trimmers run power-wise after a couple years and it's not just philips. They all do it so we have to keep repurchasing. It's purely greed and profit. Also the plastic trimmer pieces can break from many companies. Thanks for the review, I'll look out for this kind of battery

My Phillips after 4 years just stopped working. I will consider this one, thanks for your review appreciate it
THANKS! The manual doesn't show how to exchange the regular trimmer and the detail trimmer. You came to the rescue in 5:10 !

Yes it’s planned obsolescence which is bad for us the consumer and bad for the environment (it creates a lot of waste).
@@IhsanOzz which one would you recommend with a better battery?
@@earlgrey1 Get one with a Lithium ion battery, they last much longer than Nickel-metal hydride batteries (Ni-MH).
Nice video. I wonder whats the difference with Philips BT5515/15 model ?
Thank you for this. The manual did not show how to switch the trimmers
Thank you very much, really helpfull rewiew
Good review, i just god mine today and its amazing

Hi. Can't you wash the inside when you remove the blade?
One blade or bg5020 for deeper shaving
Hi! is the blade dualcut?
What's that old design model? I got that too. It was better than the newer ones.
The older blue model is a "Philips BT5260" and my newer model is much better. Lithium batteries lasts much longer.
How’s it running now?
It’s still running well, the lithium battery is great, much better than my previous trimmer.
I would like to know does it shave everything off near smooth on 0.2 mm? @ihsan Oz
It leaves a very slight stubble. If you want super smooth - wet shave is the way to go.
