Great trail, this is my local trail every Wednesday. There would be a couple of additions that make it worth it and about 10-11 miles total. It is definitely a lot of trail in a compact space. Great video Joaquin
Nice ride, I love Waterdog, consider it my “home” trails. Elevator is painful to climb, impressed you did it twice! Imo a better route is to climb the 17 switchbacks of Finch. And look for Ohlone trail next time, it’s got a pretty cool wood feature. Drop into Ohlone from near where you dropped into the dh portion of Rambler
Odd you cut out so much of the labor of love decent. AND you climbed elevator. Ohhh lordy. Good to see you down here in the local stomping groups. If you're ever head back out south Hmu. Looking for more buddies to ride with. Great content! Keep it up!
Cool video! I agree it’s a fun spot, underrated by most of my buddies. :) but there are ways to keep it more interesting. I made a video that features it as well, the cars are a trip right? There is another one on the climb to lol trail.
Hey Jake, how do you compare riding Hightower with Tallboy or even Blur in Bay Area? Are you happy with 150 travel? I'm a beginner coming from triathlon and road racing, thinking about FS XC/Trail bike (with 120 travel) for having fun on our trails, and sometimes racing MTB in Sacramento area. What do you think could be a best option? Thank you.
I love my Hightower! (160/145) it’s probably a bit too much bike for majority of trails around here but i feel like it suits my riding style really well. I like steep/techy stuff and that’s where my bike thrives. Tallboy and Blur would be great bikes, the Blur is a great XC bike. I recommend getting a demo bike so you can really get a feel for it. Good luck in the bike search!
Favorite hiking spot that’s super close. Cool to see it from a MB perspective
Right on Andrew! That was my first time riding Waterdog, really enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back 😎

Great video

Thanks Joaquin! I had a blast riding Waterdog. I’ll be returning to hit the trails i missed the first time, hopefully soon!

Elevator is a leg burner! Nice, I'll definitely try that next time, thanks for the info Jim!
