Great repotting job. I am getting this dendro species in october, nice to know about fragrance. I am curious why are you changing the potting method for it. It obviously liked previous setup, all the roots look awesome. I usually follow the "don't fix something that is not broken" rule, so there is something that I am missing here. Thank you.

Hello Anna Maria. I saw a few videos from your channel about repotting Dendrobiums in Semi Hydro. There are a lot of Cattleya and Phalaenopsis SH videos, but very few of the Dendrobiums. I have a few Dendrobium plants: One Dendrobium anosmum, which I got a couple months back and which has still got bare canes, one dendrobium nestor which is growing new shoots which are still very small - 3-4 inches, one dendrobium nobile species which has just finished blooming, and a nobile type - Dendrobium Rainbow Dance. Can I shift all of them to SH setup? In your opinion, is there a particular time when we should transition the orchids? Regards.

Nope, not at all. Cattleyas are my favourites. Which are yours?

Phalaenopsis but Im attending my first orchid show this month so maybe it will change lol. I have never seen any other orchid in real life except one vanda with no blooms. My favorite phal is part of my family.

Nicely repotted! How often do you have to check the bottom water ? How many days they last? Do they stay moist all the time in the pot due to wick?

if that's really an anosmum, be prepared for it to grow really long. mine have canes growing up to almost 5ft long. but yeah, they smell lovely when in bloom
